While things started out great buying a new Toyota from Vanderstyne, it quickly turned into a fiasco! Delivery of the vehicle was promised 4 times over 10 days, and 4 times they called to say "Oops, sorry, you can't have it today either." Finally, they promised to deliver it to our house but my father would have had to then drive the salesman to Syracuse, which is an hour away. He ended up meeting them 1/2 way, but still had to drive to Syracuse and then home.

The last delay was because they needed an extra day for detailing. How much detailing does a brand new vehicle need? One thing it did need was to have the plastic protectant removed from the top, which we noticed was still there after we got it home.

Other problems with them are too involved to go into here, but suffice it to say that they don't care about anything after they cash the check! Zero follow up or customer service! Well, they did send a congratulations balloon...

I think Vanderstyne Toyota is a superb place to have service on your car. I have taken my car in for routine service there, many times ...and have always been satisfied. EXCEPT for the last time. I believe the serviceman meant to check my window washer fluid, but apparantly overlooked it.
About 4 days after I had my car checked, I tried my fluid lever and found it empty.
This was very surprising and FRUSTRATING to me, because I really needed the use of this at the time..

Tim is a very reliable service manager and runs a good department.

My check engine light came on so I called to set up an appointment. My mechanic could not fix it so I thought I'd give Vanderstyne a try. I called and the service rep said to bring my Echo right in. I was very surprised that I did not have to wait a few days before my vehicle would be repaired. The service rep told me it would take a few hours to fix. It was ready in 2 hours!I am very happy with them and I tell everyone about them!

My mom is always raving about Vanderstyne Toyota. She absolutely loves it, and says she'll recommend it to anyone. She has always been impressed with the service, especially Lawrence, and by the service department. They don't act like "normal" mechanics. They only tell you something is wrong when it really is.

i bought my first car from them a while back. there was no pressure to buy. the guy showed me around the lot. helped me test drive teh few cars i was interested in and i made my choice.
