I purchased a very expensive pair of glasses there a year ago. Since then, I have had to replace the noseguards no less than 5 times. The first time I took the glasses in for repair, they replaced one nose guard with a completely unmatched one. When the second one broke off, they replaced them both with silicone pads that matched each other and the overall look of my frame. HOWEVER, they neglected to tell me that they could contact the manufacturer to get a replacement pair of the original noseguards. This, they told me when the silicone pads broke off a few weeks later and I had to go back for yet another repair. (The third one in as many months)

They ordered the replacement pair from the manufacturer (Jean Lafont Paris) and things were cool for about six months. Then the nose pads broke off again!! I took them in again and when I complained that this type of inconvenience was not acceptable for a pair of glasses that I paid several hundred dollars for, the receptionist shrugged her shoulders and told me, "Well at least we give you the replacements for free".

Here's my free advice to potential customers -- chose one of the several other eyeglass shops along 7th Avenue - Park Slope.

Pros: convenient location

Cons: Lousy customer service

I gave them my prescription sunglasses to fix, as the arm had broken off. They said they has to send it out for two days. They came back a few days late and they said "no charge". When I picked them up, they had been soldered beyond repair, basically burned the arm back on, but they cant fold nor be worn, as they soldered them WAY too wide for my face. They can't be repaired elsewhere and I am now searching for a brand new pair elsewhere. Not good.

Very friendly and professional staff. The Dr. takes plenty of time to explain everything and makes sure you understand as well. Plenty of personal attention. I am so glad to have found this place, they were recommended to me by friends and I continue to go even though my health insurance doesn't cover the visits.

This is a very good place; they do good work, friendly, and they participate in various insurance plans, including DC37 optical benefit. I've been using them for some time and recommend them highly

I really like this place. They are very accomodating, friendly and honest. Even though I moved out of the neighborhood, I continue to go back to Eyes on the Slope for glasses and contacts. HIghly recommended.

Got both the fit and the prescription wrong for my contact lenses. Optometrist was more into telling me that my old lenses were "bad" than finding new lenses that would work for me.

Pros: Easy appointments

Cons: Customer service, doesn't listen, a little rude. Couldn't get simple prescription right.

My fellow Park Slopers, you have to believe me when i say that i had the best experience with choosing my glasses at eyes on the slope. I thought i looked terrible in glasses, until eddie took the time in showing me the different styles that fit and actually work for me. He took his time with me, and that is what i liked best. Now, i don't take my glasses off! Out of all the stores i visited, i felt as though they had the largest selection, and they gave me a really good discount off my frames and lenses. I'll continue to shop for any future glasses that i need only at eyes on the slope. The staff treats the customers like their own family, and they really are experts with choosing and making glasses. My glasses were done the next day! I couldn't ask for anything more.

There is a very rude salesman here, and you can get better prices down the street.

A man who works here (not the manager) is very insulting and rude for no reason. I would never go back there.

Shopping here was a big mistake. I brought my very nice frames in and ordered lenses. They messed them up twice-forgetting to do first the anti-reflective coating I asked for, then forgetting to make the lenses thin. I had to come back three times, and it made me nervous to have my expensive frames in their hands. One employee explained their errors by repeating "things happen". Also, they are more expensive than the other shops on 7th avenue.
