Chinar Restaurant Inc

We are a group of 10 or so Americans who go just before New Years to Chinar, and have done this for several years. The food is outstanding, plentiful and very well prepared. It is a banquet served to each individual table, by helpful waiters.

There were 180 people in the restaurant last Friday and I never felt that the dance floor was too small. On the contrary everybody dances with everybody and it is a very vonvival atmosphere
I for one am looking forward to next year.

There is no smoking permitted in the restaurant.

Well... its Friday, 2:30 am. I just came back from celebrating friend's birthday at restaurant Chinar in Brooklyn. You right johnny, there were Russian men in the restaurant, perhaps because Brooklyn has the largest Russian community in the entire American continent. It's true the dance floor is not very large, may be because it was made for a restaurant not for ballroom dancing. Its a good restaurant, family friendly with service aimed to please every visitor. Of course, I don't know what your story is, and I am sorry you were traumatized by witnessing "mucho men" fighting. But, judging from your biased and exaggerated criticism, I can only imagine that you are one of the following:

A) Frustrated Emo
b) Bitter Aging homosexual
c) Someone who was kicked out of the restaurant too many times and now you're taking your Mickey Mouse fight to the internet.

My advice to you: move to San Francisco ;)

I was reading about a restaurant Chinar in Brooklyn on ave.U when I've read your story...So in case you want to go to Chinar think again...It's a ex smokers nightmare...everyone smokes there because the owners allow it. at the end your closes stinks like an ashtray or a chimney...The food is so so nothing special, pilaf was not cooked properly, rice was still raw...The seafood wasn't as good as I expected...But if you like to play a Russian roulette then welcome to Chinar , where fights happen regularly, because of the drunk macho Russian men of Caucasus background, who fight dirty by many attacking one innocent person. I was a witness to a very dirty fight there and I wouldn't go there again if someone would pay me a million dollars. I guess I was the only American there, the music was way too loud the dance floor was very small and there was no room to dance most larger people did not even reach a dance floor, same people stayed at the dance flor not letting anyone elce get on...Thanks but no thanks...They also have another location in Staten Island, where one woman was nearly killed by her jealous spouse, whose alcohol level should have been checked for sanity...Please if you know anyone that would consider having a party at that God forsaken place, stop them and make them go elsewhere.

Those who like grilled food, will love this place.They are famous in Russian community of New York for their shish-kebab, steaks and grilled fish. Everything is fresh and spicy! Service is prompt and the place is clean. Yoy can have a great partythere and everyone will find the dish to suit their taste.
