After hearing a great deal about the restaurant and never before eating there, I made reservations for my Mom's birthday. Everything from the get-go was a negative. We were a party of seven and were placed in the back room of the restaurant. The service was terrible (the bus-boys did not even clear the table of extra plates) the waiter was unattentive, and neglected to do the basics to ensure a good experience. Drinks were not refilled and the waiter dissapearred for the majority of the night. The food arrived over one hour after we ordered and was not the correct order after it arrived. The meat was overcooked (even though it was ordered as medium-rare) and the pasta was bland and the wrong type of pasta as well. The night was a disaster. The waiter was unapologetic and did nothing to at least make amends for the countless errors.

Growing up in Coney Island we took this wonderful restaurant for granted. It was only after we moved to another state that we realized what a gem this place is. If you're in the area go and taste the incredible food. But remember to call for a reservation or you might not get in.

Coney Island's immensely popular family-run Italian restaurant. Call ahead to make a reservations. The ambiance and food make the trip out to Coney Island well-worth it. fast service, great food, reasonable prices

This place gives you a taste of Italy. I don't live to far away from here. I eat here often, and I was upset this summer when they were closed untill July 17th for vacation. This place is high class, and caertain clothing like hats, tanks, and shorts are violated. My mother and I will keep comming back, especially on Sundays.......
Pros: Good food, good service, good iced cappuccino
Cons: Long wait, be prepared for reservations, no shorts or tanks
