This is the worlds best used store!! I have found so many great deals there. The prices are out of this world, you won't find a better deal anywhere. The merchandise is clean and in nice condition you would think you were buying new at a much lower price. I see someone complained about the price given when selling something well you must think your stuff is worth more than it is. I have sold and traded MANY items and was always given a fair price for my stuff. I have not one complaint about this store. The women who runs it (I think she is the owner) is so nice and friendly. She makes you feel comfortable not an inconvience. I can't say enough good about this place. What an asset to Oswego. Don't go anywhere else you will get the best deal at ACES UP TRADING POST!!!!!! KEEP UP THE GOOD JOB!!!

I will never go to this place again. Twice I have gone, first time when trading in a good 360 game and some dvds I got $17 which was a rip but figured I needed a lil money at the time so whatever. Today I brought 81 dvds in good condition and the lady tried to buy them off me for $28.35, I of course said no since most the movies are from the past 5-10 years and in good shape. Like others have said they buy super cheap if people sell and they sell at a much much higher rate than most pawn places. There are better pawn places in Oswego and had they been open on Sunday I would have went to one of them but Aces Up was the only one open so tried and never again.

Remember, don't think your getting a good deal when buying because you can find the same items cheaper online or in another pawn shop most likely and understand if they are selling something for 30 they prolly paid a few dollars.

This used shop is the cleanest most organized "pawn shop" I have ever been in. The owner is so nice and easy to work with. She gets to know the customers by name and is very friendly. She is fair on what she pays keeping in mind that they are in business to make money so the items will be sold for more than what you get but the amount that I have always received as been MORE than what I expected. I can not say enough of about this place. It is great to see a honest business person out there. Anyone who complains about this place must be just a complainer.

aces up is a very good pawn shop, some of the prices may be a little high but i go there alot and most prices are better than you can find. Aces up gets to know customers on a name to name basis and i like that pawn shop better than the discount shop and others around oswego

This is suppose to be a pawn shop type deal it is not. They buy your items then sell them right away they give you nothing for what you are selling and sell it at almost new prices. This is not worth it you may as well put the extra couple dollars in and buy it new. The store is large and they do have alot of items but the items they have are alot higher priced then you expect at a pawn shop. Alot of the prices are high enough to buy it new cheaper.

This is a great addition to Oswego Aces up is located on Bridge street in Oswego. You are able to buy items at a cheaper price then the store but higher then a yard sale. You are able to sell them your used items for fair market value, or you can trade them for items you need. They also list on ebay so if you want to sell something on ebay and dont want to do the work they will do all the work for you. The lady who owns the place and the staff are pleasent helpful and friendly.

I have never really been a big fan of pawn shops because I have always heard of the lack of business ethics that many owners encompass. Recent events at the Aces Up Trading Post have solidified my judgment of these so-called businesses.

Yesterday, a local Oswego man, who lives in an adult assisted home for people with special needs, sold an adult bicycle to the pawn shop for $50. Some would question why this is such a big deal, but to local community members, including employees from Sharons Hair Gallery, Patz Restaurant, and friends, spent most of December raising money for this bike which is worth $400-$500. Their idea was to bring back the true Christmas spirit and give to someone who really deserved it.

Earlier this year this man came into Sharons Hair Gallery with a lottery ticket and one of the employees helped him understand the rules of the game. She asked him, If you win a million dollars, what will you do with it? His response was, I would buy that pretty blue bicycle at Wal-Mart! To him that would be worth a million dollars because he said he had never owned a bike before.

So this employee, along with people she had told, set out a jar for the Bike Fund. Customers and employees donated all month to raise money to buy the bike and just before Christmas the bike was purchased at, a local bike store. The owner of the bike shop even showed his Christmas cheer by giving the bike to them at cost.

Everyone was so excited to see the joy this gift would give this local man, so they set up a party at Patz with many members who had contributed. The man was brought there as a surprise and the bike was revealed, with a helmet and a bike lock. They continued the evening with food and drinks, with everyone enjoying this heartwarming experience.

As you can see it is saddening that a local pawn shop owner would take advantage of someone that doesnt have the full capacity to understand what he/she is doing. Employees from both businesses explained to the owner about the circumstances, less than 24 hours after the transaction. Two of them even offered to buy the bike back for the $50, but she refused. The employees were told that this is a business and this is how she makes money. How can a human being..business owner or not act in this manner?

The police were involved as well, but the owner told the police the bike was sold this morning, less than 24 hours after she received it. It seems that the police were not aware of Business Law 101it is illegal to take advantage of mentally impaired individuals and the contract should be considered void. ***WEST'S BUSINESS LAW (10th Edition) states that a contract needs to meet certain criteria for it to be valid; which one element is that BOTH parties must be of sound mind to enter into the agreement. Anyone who has a guardian, such as a minor or a mentally impaired individual, does not fall into this category. Not only should the validity of the contract be questioned, but also the fairness. In order for a contract to be valid it must be fair. The bike was only a few weeks old and in mint condition.

If he had a million dollars and would only want a bike, it seems obvious he does not understand the value of money! This whole situation is so disheartening and sad for the good people in this city that were trying to do something nice. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED!
