After searching for many weeks I was so happy to find a place that had the type of wig and quality I need for my type of hair problem. I have very curly hair that reacts to the weather and becomes frizzy.
Everywhere I went they just showed me straight hair wigs. The curly ones I saw were like my hair at it's worse state. When the stylist brought me a hairpiece that not only was my exact cut and color, it had the most natural curl. I can't thank them enough for all their help and kindness.
I must say what a pleasure it was to have a private comfortable room and stylist working with me.
I will recommend this salon to anyone who needs some help with their hair problems.
The coffee was great also. Thanks again

Everywhere I went for help with my thinning hair was a disaster
I was shown things that made me look like I was back in the 60"s
After a recommendation from a friend I went to Bitz-n-Pieces for a consultation
The very friendly reception explained to me the consultation charges that seemed fair as I expected a professional to help me not just a salesperson. When I arrived I was escorted to a private room which also made me feel so comfortable as I am sensitive about my hair loss. My stylist was a woman that showed me how easy it is to cover my problem spots with a small clip on hairpiece. She even took the time to teach me how to put it on by myself with no problems. With a few styling tips I was able to look and feel like myself again, Thanks for all your help and understanding. I read a few reviews on this site that were negative but after seeing for myself how caring these people are I would recommend this place over all the others. Thanks again

I visited Bitz-n-Pieces on March 13th and bought a wig that very day. This place was the first on my list but after being introduced to the process by the receptionist, meeting my stylist and above all listening to their information there was no need to go anywhere else.

Thank you especially for the booklet it speaks directly and coherently to all concerns and answers questions I didn't know to ask.

Pros: quality, service

I was profoundly disappointed in the customer service. I have rapidly thinning hair but am not a candidate for a full wig yet. I asked about clip on toppers to hide the thinning on top. They are supposed to be known for their wide selection of "Bitz and Pieces:" I was shown one small clip on piece that looked like they picked up cuttings from the floor. I was told that was all they had. They then proceeded to show me a full wig. Again I asked to see others pieces, and was told with attitude that's all they had. I feel like I was being manipulated into spending thousands more than I have to.
I was VERY disappointed. The only positive experience is the girl who works at the front desk.

A friend of mine had recommended Bitz and pieces to me, prior to an audition that I had qualified for. My own hair wasn?t quite up to par in terms of the character I wanted to portray (She was more of a long, bouncy, and glamorous type of gal.) So I called, made an appointment, went in and was shown a series of wigs with a sort of lace on them, I think the stylist called them laceline or lacefront?.. Nevertheless, within half an hour I found the perfect piece. My audition was magnificent and yes the producer did mention how good my hair looked, and I doubt he had any idea that it wasn?t mine!! By the way I got the part!! Thanks again!!

Being from Massachusetts and having limited time in NYC, I was delighted with the receptionist attitude of accomidation. She was so friendly and positive, while being taken care of. They escorted me into a private room. What a relief that was since I am sensitive about going bald from medication I am taking. I felt like Cinderrella by the time I left. The staff made me feel special and pampered, not the least of which I had a beautiful head of hair that perfectly fit my personality, original hair color and complimented my facial features.

When I called for an appointment a very nice person helped me understand how this whole chemo wig thing works. She booked me with a very wonderful Stylist-salesperson that made this unpleasant situation very easy for me. This guy explained just how things go while you are taking treatments. We found just the right color and style for my look. Thank heaven I look and feel like myself. It was a little more than I wanted to spend but worth every cent. The receptionist even explained how to work with my insurance for reimbursement.
Thank you all again for getting me through this ruff time.

Beware of this con. These people seem to count on ripping anyone who comes through the door off for as much as they can. When I called they told me there would be a $35 dollar consultation fee, which I agreed to because I had heard they had a very good selection. When I arrived for my appointment they made me sign a document saying that if I exceeded the 20 minute consultation time I would be charged 35 an hour. They do conspire so that it is impossible to see their selection in the 20 minutes. The salesperson "consultant", chatted me up, left the "consultation" room for at least 10 minutes to find more wigs. When I finally got out of their consultation room they had charged me $100 for seeing 5 wigs, 2 of which were the wrong color. When I complained they were very indignant. I have never heard of a store where one has to pay to shop.
A woman who had had her hair done there and was at the desk when I was leaving asked how much to leave as a tip and was told 40% was customary.

After having gone thru a tramatic experience with hair loss from chemo
therapy...finding the wonderful staff here made me feel like a new and beautiful
woman...there are no words to describe the kindness and talent of these
people...

I went to Bitz-n-Pieces all the way from South Florida because I heard they were terrific
It's a beautiful salon with wonderful wigs and hairpieces. They matched my hair style so close, that my own hairdresser couldn't even tell I had a wig on. Anyone going through hair loss should check out this place. From my first phone call to their finishing touch they were so helpful. I highly recommend them .
Thank you Bitz-n-Pieces for giving me back my confidence.

I went to Barry Hendrickson's Bitz and pieces after a perm "accident " which had me feeling beyond down and out, didn?t want to leave the house, see anyone etc. bottom line I had patches of missing hair and needed a quick fix or else I would've been ridiculously bored during my self inflicted house arrest sentence. Nevertheless, I was fortunate enough to be referred to Bitz n Pieces. The first time I was at Bitz and Pieces I had a informative breakdown of my options as well as an opportunity to choose what type of wig I wanted / needed. Of course I was looking for something that closely matched my pre-war(perm) hair, not only were they able to match my hair type/color they had me looking about three times better then usual... Shine, Cut and all.... Just FABULOUS!
As for the service, the only way it could have been any better / improved is if they would have offered to carry me home! During my consultation Maggie (one of the stylists) was beyond helpful and managed to have me feeling great, informed AND I left with my new do half an hour later!! It was truly a five star experience (cappuccino and all!) I also ran into Mr. Henrickson himself, which was a nice little treat. I was and still am very grateful for their help. Kudos to bitz n pieces staff!! I highly recommend Bitz and Pieces... on the other had I don?t recommend do it yourself perms....

I went to Bitz-n-Pieces a few times for, so this review is not based on an isolated incident. With the exception of the receptionist, the hair stylist and the owner both seemed to have an attitude. I always like to give people a second, even a third chance since we are all bound to have off days, but I realized after the most recent exchange that their rudeness is their modus operandi. It's too bad because I really like their quality merchandise and would like to have continued giving them my business. I even contacted the hospital where I had first heard of the store, and they said that they have similar complaints and that they would consider removing the store from their list. I don't want others who are in a vulnerable situation like myself to be taken advantage of.

Bitz N Pieces has made my last 3 years battling cancer a much more positive experience. I can't say enough good things about Edward, Barry, J.T., Patricia and the entire team. They have made a challenging experience as easy to manage as possible. The knowledge that they have re: the hair loss process associated with chemotherapy treatments and the personal touch that they give every client goes above and beyond what I ever expected. I keep on telling them that it will be bitter sweet when I am done with cancer and my hair grows back...I dont' want to stop visiting them! I have recommended them to many people and can't say enough good things!

I am a four year breast cancer survivor and since losing my hair, during chemotherapy, I have had an ongoing relationship with Barry Hendrick's Bitz N Pieces. I live in Westchester County and after doing exhaustive research, having ridiculous appointments with so called professionals who charged absurd prices and trying on hair pieces that made me look like a cross between the family dog and the winner of the biggest hair in Texas contest, I found a truly professional wig salon.

In addition to a sophisticated selection of both real and synthetic products, Barry and his staff, JT, Edward, Patricia, etc. have a great eye for style and are helpful and knowledgeable about insurance allowances as well.

I work with Susan G. Koman/BMW Drive For the Cure and at every event I recommend Bitz N Pieces to all women participating. It's a gem!

I was recomended to Bitz-N-Pieces by my doctor and my friend, because I had to go through chemo.
The place is clean, classic, and they have large selection to choose. The staffs were very nice, supportive, trained and experienced. Purchased a cute medium length wig, similar to what my own.

I walked out from the salon looking like myself with confidence and pride, eventhough I have lost my hair.
Since then I always get compliments even the nurse at the hospital can't believe it.

The attitude you get, in addition to the full priced bill isnt worth it.
Quality is good, customer service poor. Not a winning combination.
The treatment, from managment, is unconsciontable given the customer base .

Bitz N Pieces is a great place if you're looking for a high fashion wig and don't mind paying for quality and service. The pictures of their entertainer clients posted on the wall is staggering. I've gotten a couple of wigs there--and years of compliments.
