Empire Vision is decent but very expensive. I was floored by the price of an eye exam there and the glasses are simply very expensive.

They do take walk in appointments for eye exams and they do have friendly staff on hand to help you choose your glasses.

Contact lenses, especially torics, are through the roof expensive.

Although Empire Vision has long been known for their eye care, I won't go there any longer. It's just too expensive to pay an optician to do an eye exam when I can get the same exam elsewhere for half the price.

The glasses are arranged in price ranges and by designer and they do have some bargain frames but just a few and they really aren't a bargain.

They offer sunglasses, eyeglass accessories, and contact lens accessories as well.

While the service is satisfactory, the price makes this place one to avoid unless you have excellent vision insurance. I don't, so I go where I have been going for years and have been very satisfied.

There are sometimes sales and specials and you may want to look through the Sunday paper and snag a coupon or catch a special if you plan to go to Empire Vision.

Otherwise, expect to spend a lot of money on a simple pair of glasses and an eye exam and Lord help you if you want designer frames!

Service is fine. The exam is the same as any exam anywhere (by an optician). The prices are quite high. I don't recommend Empire Vision because of the prices but they certainly are not an irreputable place. Just overpriced.

PROS: Friendly staff, take walk in appointments, many frames to choose from
CONS: Exams, glasses, contacts all overpriced. Expect to pay a lot if you go here
