Another Asian Buffet Scam !!
First let me say we used to go here when this was a real International Buffet & before the Asian's took over the place. The food was good, high quality, great variety & selection.
We decided to check out the place for lunch on Saturday, after not going there for a few years.
When we walked in at 3:10pm, the hostess with no smile, intentionally stood in front of the sign that gave the hours of the lunch/dinner and the price and moved us quickly to a table.
A server came over and took drink orders, without a smile or greeitng, just that scowl you get at the Asian restaurants.
So now at about 3:15pm we get up to check out the buffet and most of the dishes are empty, so we start off with some shrimp & soup.
We noticed that at about 3:30pm or so, some of the dishes were being refilled, so we made out way around and took a few items.
The beef skewers were the lowest quality of fatty beef we ever had and we both had to spit them out or choke. Other dishes were bland or just plain awful.
At 3:55pm, another male server who actually spoke some English came over to the table with the check and said that the lunch buffet ends at 4pm and we would have to finish. We argued that we had just been seated at 3:10pm and had no intention of leaving & that we had barely eaten anything. We argued back and forth & we stood our ground, so the server sent the manager over. I told the Manager sternly that we are tired of these Asian scams where they seat you a few minutes before ending the meal and then take your money & that we were going to finish our meal when we were ready to finish. He looked a bit stunned that we did not fold to their little scam and in the end agreed that if we did not take lobster or crab (they put this out for dinner) we could stay and pay the Lunch price. We told the Manager we would never eat Lobster or Crab Legs from a Buffet so he had nothing to worry about. We continued our meal & when I went up to get the Peking Duck which is behind the carving station, there were (5) Latino workers standing around and they all refused to acknowledge me for a full 5 minutes. When one finally did come up, he just looked at me & I asked for duck. He cut a small piece off with a scowl on his face & then turned around and walked away.
Bottom line - all the food is AWFUL - lowest quality meats. Typical Asian dishes then lots and lots of fillers like awful pasta, potatoes, etc. I guess they hope you fill up on the junk. Baby back ribs (as the sign said) were just awful smelling low quality pork ribs. Anything battered with shrimp or crab is a huge piece of fried batter and a minsicule piece of crab or shrimp. Desserts are all dried up (cookies, cakes) from the humidity.
Save your $$ and go to a real restaurant if you want a good quality meal without the ATTITUDE. NOT giving my $$ to these ungrateful Asians anymore !!!

I've enjoyed International Buffet on more than one occasion. On weekdays you pay $10(lunch) for a great selection of food ranging from sushi/crab to frog less and chicken.Dinner is more pricey at $25 but,the selection is amazing. So,don't knock it until you try it and, there is always heavy traffic at the buffet.

Pros: Food selection great sushi and dim sum.

Cons: the price of dinner.

Buffet used to be great on the weekends, however ever since they renovated, i think they changed cooks and the food is horrible. The weekend dinners are not worth the price. The only good food at the buffet is the sushi.

Cons: everything else

This is definitely a great place to eat seafood on a budget but be forewarned-- certain seafood dishes, like the lobster and ginger sauce are only offered on the weekends. To really enjoy yourself I say leave the children under age 5 @ home and really get your moneys worth.

PROS: extra large jumbo shrimp and big snow crab legs are a +
CONS: ice cream machine could offer a better soft serve

This all-you-can-eat buffet has a wide variety of foods from around the world. Lunch and dinner on the weekdays are less expensive than on the weekends. This is because crablegs and lobster are offered on the weekend. The crab legs have more claws than other buffets that I went to. You can easily eat more than what you pay for on any day. There also is a sushi bar where you can see the chef preparing the fresh sushi. There's a BBQ grill with BBQ chicken, fish, pork & beef. More soup choices are offered than at other buffets( about 6 or 7 ). The place is roomy and can easily accomodate large groups.

PROS: large groups, wide variety of food
CONS: None

I highly recommend the International Buffet to eat for a great inexpensive lunch. There is a variety of food from chicken nuggets to roast pork lo mein. I like to arrive as soon as lunch begins to avoid the massive amount of people who are around the food. The food is delicious and they even have great desserts. My niece loves to go here because they have a ice cream machine that they allow or to use. This is a great place to take the family for lunch .
