First all I have Used them 2 times before and every time gets better. Paul was Very Nice and Did a Great Job. Price was Very Good.Will Call and use them again.

Guess what Mr. Paul Buttermark? You cannot be rude, disrespectful or curse at a home owner. Calling my home f... sh ... without ever seeing either of my homes is unacceptable. You have lost a repeat customer and with the power of the internet, smart consumers will look elsewhere for a quality plumber. Mr. Louis Buttermark please accept my apologies and condolences on the loss of business you have and will certainly suffer at the hands of your son. You must be very proud of him!!!

Unbelievably poor service. The office staff did not return phone calls in a timely fashion, if at all. Several people came to look at my water heater and it took 4 visits to diagnose the problem, which was caused by Buttermark installing the wrong heater.

We were told on three different phone calls that Paul, the owner, was going to come to my home. No shock--he never did.

We did not have hot water for 12 days because we were jerked around. Only got immediate service when I told office staff that I was contacting a lawyer.

Incredibly expensive for subpar service.

I needed a new water heater on a Saturday. I called at 11:30AM, they were here by 1PM, and it was installed by 2:15PM. Reasonable price too. I can't ask for anything more.

Wow. I have used them in the past and understand they are not cheap. My family and I have always used them without question but my recent experience was appalling. I figured that when you pay about double you should get a professional service and to my surprise it was the contrary. Besides showing up a week and a day late, and then rushing me to make decisions at the last minute because they did not show up when they should have, they left a disaster of a mess both inside and out. I don't care who does work. The "brothers" say things that are not communicated to each other and the office and took shortcuts to get the job done quickly. I am not happy with them at all and will never use them again.

i have been a loyal customer of Louis Buttermark@sons for years but recently i had maintenance work on my check valve in my basement,as they finished the work and left i noticed that the pvc pipes connected to my sump pump were bent and out of place,so i called them back the following monday and reported this to the customer service rep which stated to me that she will let Paul Buttermark know of this and will call me back.Well it's been almost one month since the work was done in my home and i finally spoke to Paul and he stated to me that the check valve work had nothing to do with the pipes connecting my sump pump,i said that the plumber that was working on my valve since the space was reext week at the earliestricted he caused the pipes connecting to my sump pump to be misaligned,He stated to me that he has a big job at a school and has several plumbers on vacation and that the earliest he can send someone is maybe next week,the schoolwork was a priority and that it would cost him money if he was to spare one person to checkout this problem.I am surprised by his statement,i would have continued to recommend him to my neighbors and friends I'm sure that if he ever sends someone to my home or not I will not be using his services ever again.

Not on time. Doesn't call back or in a timely manner, usually have an excuse, and an attitude when calling on the telephone. Have deteriorated over the years. Forget them.

I've used several other plumbing and heating contractors on Staten Island, and have learned to rely on Buttermark. They are easy to deal with. They keep to their appointments and have always been competent and thorough. They fixed my problems the first time. Their prices are fair and honest and I would absolutely recommend them,

I can't say enough about how happy I am with their service. We have been using them for years and they do an exceptional job. They don't overcharge and they even clean up after the work that they do. We just had a new toilet installed and the plumber who worked on it was very nice, professional and did a great job. If you want a good job done, give them a call!
