Miracle Maids

Miracle Maids came to clean my house once and never again. They not only left it dirtier than when they started, they damaged the furniture by spraying it with some chemical and broke the safety glass in my front door! They claimed to have insurance and want to fix it, but it's been more than a week and they still have not done anything. This is my front door! I can't imagine how they did this--they said by proping the door open with a baseball bat. This clearly shows no regard for the security of my house because I live in a neighborhood where you do not want your front door standing open. I also have a cat that could have easily gotten out. Their staff has given me the serious run-around. I can never get a supervisor on the phone and the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Needless to say, the cleaning was not a cleaning. They seemed to have run the same dirty rag over everything and ran a dirty mop down the middle of the floor. I asked them to clean the windows, which are easy tilt-out types, and they just smudged the inside and didn't touch the outside.

The cleaning services as well as the customer service were absolutely HORRENDOUS. As someone else commented, I wish I could give them zero stars. Please read my complaint letter below for detailed information regarding the awful service this company provides....DO NOT USE THEM...also important to note is that the company did not respond in any way to my complaint letter or make any attempts to satisfy me!!! Horrible company!!

To Whom it May Concern:

I would like you to know that the cleaning services provided by your company for my apartment yesterday were absolutely horrendous.

"Nancy", arrived one hour late, and in fairness, it was a last minute request, however this meant that a very heavy job began at 4pm.

When Nancy arrived to a totally empty studio apartment I went over every inch of the space in detail with her pointing out specific areas that needed extra attention. Nancy was confident that she could manage this job and said "I'm the best, I catch every little thing".

I left her alone to work, hopeful that upon my return the empty apartment would be move-in ready.

Three hours later Nancy called me and said she was done. When I arrived at the apartment I was horrified.

The kitchen was somewhat more clean than when she began, but certainly not spotless. It was obvious that she had done the bare minimum. The stove-top and burners were covered in grease that Nancy couldn't remove with the cleaning supplies your company supplied (Nancy informed me she cleans with vinegar and water).

The bathroom looked as though it hadn't even been cleaned and in fact, the toilet had not been cleaned, nor had the grout been scrubbed as promised.

The windowsills, which I had previously pointed out to Nancy as needing to be cleaned thoroughly, were covered in dust such that running my hand across it resulted in black palms.

Opening closet doors to examine built in drawers and shelves revealed that Nancy had not dusted and wiped them out as promised.

The floors still had dust on them despite my paying extra for Nancy to bring a Dyson vacuum with her.

When I asked Nancy to re-do things she did so but said that she couldn't really get things clean because of the "green cleaning solutions" (aka vinegar and water) that you had given her.

I can not believe what an exorbitant price you charged for sub-par service. Even with your policy of having the maid "do-over" areas that were not satisfactory (and now I clearly see why you have this policy in place, as you must require this to be used daily), the apartment was only marginally more clean after Nancy left than when she began -- and it certainly wasn't worth the outrageous sum of $245.15 you charged me.

from the first contact on the phone I knew I was in good hands. My questions were answered easily and they handled all of my concerns about being able to do a deep cleaning and also use supplies that won't bother my allergies. They showed up on time and smiling -- and the woman they sent brought earth friendly supplies and scrubbed my house completely. When she finished early she went in and organized my clothing closet. It was amazing and easy. I will call them again and I recommend them highly.

I've never had such a high level of service before I booked Miracle Maids. My 2 bedroom apartment was a complete disaster and they worked a miracle. The maids arrived on time and fully equipped and ready to go! They even walked my dog while the other cleaned! What better service? They covered everything from organization to degreasing; nothing was left undone. I wouldn't recommend any other maid service. Miracle Maids is your one stop shop. Thank you Miracle Maids!

I used Miracle Maids a few years back and it was ok but I moved into a new place this year and wanted to get it clean before I got in.

I called and yeah the prices changed but they are now Green and bring supplies. The maid was detail oriented and the salesperson was great.

They followed up with me after to make sure all was ok.

For sure going to use them again.

I googled "Cleaning Services in Brooklyn" and up popped Miracle Maids. I called and spoke to their Account Manager Jeremy and he helped me through the initial process. He was very professional and
throughly explained everything. We scheduled a Level 1 cleaning for my mom.

The maids that came to clean were also very friendly, professional and really got the job done. They went above and beyond what I thought they were going to do and my mom's house looked and smelled clean.

They did a beautiful job. The experience was so positive that my mom is going to hire the maids to clean regularly.

I would highly recommend this company.

it's a bit pricey and my time was miscommunicated so i had to wait for the service, but it was very good. i am a bit of a nut about cleaning, so those three things combined are why it's a little lower rating than most others...

Pros: certainly if you don't have time and have a lt of things and space and pets, using this service - tho pricey - will help keep the house in order.

Having been raised by a mother who cleaned the toilets twice a day everyday for most of my childhood and cried over dust, I like to think I know good cleaning. Miracle Maids showed me that my standards of cleanliness were laughable, they were THAT thorough. Right now my apartment, after a visit by two incredibly friendly workers from Miracle Maids, sparkles. Literally. The place smells clean, looks clean, and IS clean. These guys are fantastic and well worth the buck. I will definitely, definitely be using them again. Likely before my mother visits. Don't waste your time with other maid services, these guys work miracles.

A side note: they cleaned up construction dust that managed to break my vacuum. They're that good. Seriously, call now.

I recently used miracle maids for a one time deep cleaning of my 1-br apartment. Staff was very friendly as was the maid that came for the work. The service was definitely good and worth the money, but I was expecting a little better - although this was the first time I ever used a cleaning service so I had nothing to compare it to. Nevertheless, I would use them again.

The office personel were professional, and setting up my first appointment for a long-overdue housecleaning was easy. The "ground rules" - ex. pay with cash or credit card - were clearly set out, as was what was included in the service. It took less than 10 minutes to set up the account and the appointment.

Angela arrived exactly on time,and after a quick tour of my apartment, got right to work. She worked steadily, energetically and unobtrusively. Her work was extremely thorough. Seven hours later (large apartment), the place sparkled. She was pleasant to have in the house, and cleaned in places I had forgotten existed (tops of door jambs, tops of mirrors, baseboards, etc.)

The fee (confirmed in a phone call when Angela finished), was exactly what was quoted in my initial phone call. I will use this company, (and Angela) again.

Pros: superior service

Cons: a little pricey, but worth it.

I hired MM to clean my boyfriends apartment in Brooklyn .We wanted to get someone to come weekly. I was told that the job I described would be a basic cleaning and take 4 hours and cost $117. A possible additional hour may bring the total to $140.
The maid came on time and was confident to get the work done. I had prepared 2 lists for her, weekly items and items to be done every 2nd week. She told met she would do all items on the list every week + suggested additional things. I was very impressed and we left her at the apartment to do the work.
When my boyfriend returned he was not very impressed. I went to take a look the next day + was so disappointed I cried! It had taken some time to convince him to get help and now we were back to square 1. The maid never entered the bed room, did not vacuum clean the floors. We have a scooba robot she did not even use. The kitchen and bath walls were cleaned She did 1 load of laundry + left the damp shirts in the hamper! When I called to complain the service person was very defensive of the maids skills + told me that no one else ever complained. He offered an hour of free cleaning for each of the next 3 days I would book. AS IF!
Then I received my credit card bill and was charged an amazing $ 170.00!!! When I called to complain again I was now told that the " non cleaning" job I had gotten was a " category one" job and not a basic cleaning because of the added laundry! At no point was this ever mentioned before!.
I am complaining not because of the price, we would have been happy to pay even more if the job had been done 100%. I am upset because MM went ahead and charged for a service they did not provide and failed to communicate even the basic fee structure. I have reported this issue to my platinum amex card and they are handling this for me now. Be careful when you use this company. They are dishonest, defensive don't do the job they tell you they will do and the customer service is non existent.

There is nothing better than moving into a new apartment - than moving in when it is sparkling clean! And having someone show up at your door with cleaning supplies in hand - environmentally friendly no less (for a small extra fee) - was a bonus.

I had two lovely ladies scrub my new place top to bottom for four hours - including the kitchen shelves, windows, the stove & refridgerator & behind the appliances. They even wiped down the walls & baseboards. They took their time, took real pride in their work, were friendly & respectful - and overall did a lovely job.

The customer service reps were informative & personable as well. And I've just called Miracle Maids for a second appointment to do another scrub down - now that my pile of stuff has moved in.

I have allergies & can tell when a speck of dust or mold is in the place - and trust me - they knew what they were doing. I highly recommend them. They take their work seriously.

I called Miracle Maids last minute for some emergency cleaning before my mother-in-law came to visit us over Mother's day. I completely forgot and our house was a disaster. I called with only a day's notice. I was immediately spoken to by a friendly and precise worker in their office who set me up for service the NEXT DAY. He was even able to send me two people to get done everything I wanted done.
The two people they sent were delightful! They had great attitudes, knew what they were doing, and worked efficiently. They even cleaned the inside of my dishwasher!
We always have house guests and we work long hours. It's nice to know Miracle Maids is there for me when i need them

The first time I called I was surprised how expensive they were considering that they use YOUR products and don't bring their own like other services.I spoke to the lady, she was rushing me to give her my cc#, and I told her I would speak to my husband and call her back.We agreed to have a 1 time service to see how they were before committing.I called the next day the lady was not their I spoke to someone else who said that they were sending me someone who has been with them for years..etc..how good she was..etc..They told me that I need to get the cleaning products that they had from their site, that cost me $200 right there. The lady shows up10 minutes late, took her time changing into her uniform, made a few cell phone calls and was eating her food while she was cleaning my house! By the time she started it was already 30 min into the service. What they tell you is that they will send her for 4 hours and if you need more time its more money and if you don't it's less money. Anyway its common sense to move the dinning room chairs out of the way before you vacuum, and she was banging into them,Then she was vacuuming my kitchen floor and banged so hard into my brand new refrigerator that she broke of the bottom part and didn't even apologize. At this point I wasn't even going to scream I just asked her if she was done and that she could leave. She left the inside of my stove and counter greasy, she did not clean under my bed like I asked, and when she went to change back into her clothes she brushed her hair and left hair all over my bathroom sink. Not to mention I had 6 door mats all of which she left upside down. I spoke to the man at the service who was shocked to hear all this and all he could say to me was that if I wasn't happy I should have had her stay longer to clean more. I just wanted that woman out of my house. I spent an hour cleaning after I had paid her $165,and she gave me an attitude b/c I didn't tip her!

I travel frequently and end up calling Miracle Maids at the last minute. I have been using them for the last 5 years. Because of my erratic travel schedule I don't have the same person each time but I always get a great cleaning. They keep my keys in their lock box -- and show up when I call -- sometimes the same day if I am coming back home early from a trip. It is a pleasure coming home to a clean house. The office staff knows their stuff -- they even know my Cat's name! I also love their earth friendly supplies because they don't smell like anything and my girlfriend has allergies to perfume. I've also used them for party service, and cat care -- they do a great job.

Cons: they don't clean on Long Island or I would send them to my mom

THE WORST EXPERIENCE: Last weekend we booked a post-construction cleaning & it was the last time I will ever use Miracle Maids. Although we were given extensive instructions about what supplies to have on hand, how many hours were req'd for this kind of job and what tasks would be performed, the maids had NO IDEA (and didn't seem to care) what was expected of them. I gave them verbal instructions, but had to leave the apt. and trust that they would get the work done. They didn't. Keep in mind, Miracle Maids charges $40/hour per person for such a cleanup, so babysitting their maids should not be required. The first maid arrived on time but talked on her cell phone for the first hour as she leisurely rinsed my dishes and put them back in all the wrong places. The second was over an hour late with no apology and just sprayed lemon Pledge all over my furniture instead of mopping the walls, floors and moldings as we so desperately needed. To add insult to injury, Miracle Maids charged me for 10 HOURS OF WORK (over $400) when the maids cleared out of our apartment after only being there for 3 hours each. The job was left totally undone and noone at the service had any record of when these two women arrived or left our home (but charged us for all of those hours all the same). THE BEST EXPERIENCE: We have had six regular cleanings, and the quality of the cleanings varied wildly depending on the person who was sent. The third time we had a wonderful woman (Maureen) come who worked tirelessly for four hours and left our apartment CLEAN. We requested her on subsequent bookings, but only got her once again (apparently she quit). I should say that their customer service is literate, spunky and almost totally non-defensive - when I called to complain about the post-construction cleaning, I was treated with sympathy by a nice woman, Jody, who apologized for the botched job. Unfortunately they still botched the job and won't be getting my business again. Good luck, Miracle Maids!

I have hired a number of cleaning services over the years and I have never been happy with the results, no matter how much I paid. Miracle Maids showed up 10 minutes early, and cleaned my apartment better than I could have asked. She physically moved tons of junk out of corners to clean & mop, moved my couch to clean underneath it, moved boxes to clean around them, climbed a step-stool to clean the tops of my windows...absolutely above and beyond. I feel so clean & happy in my apartment now! Excellent customer service too.

Don't do it! Don't get suckered in! My boyfriend and I called three times and had no shows each time (yes, we sound like suckers, but we liked the idea of a bonded service, in the neighborhood, that seemed to treat employees well). First time they claimed there were subway problems, after 45 mins of waiting we canceled because we had family plans in Manhattan we were already late for (we opted not to drop the key for the first visit, so we were just going to let them in and show them around). To make up for it they promised a "really good" person the following week; she never showed and when we called, they had rebooked us with someone else without telling us (which seems to go against their policy), since Good Person's regular Saturday appt had requested her at the last minute. (And her replacement was late/a no-show.) Same thing the third time. I agree, they can definitely talk the talk on the phone and reel you in, but if they can't even be trusted to show up how can you rely on them to clean well and take the job seriously?

Cons: They didn't show up for three appointments, and offered no good faith gesture to make up for it.

I called Miracle Maids after Googling Cleaning Services in Brooklyn. When I called, the customer service reps were extremely professional and explained every aspect of their cleaning service to me. In other words I wasn't slammed with extra "hidden" fees after the cleaning was done, everything was spelled out to me prior to even confirming an appointment. I had them come in for a Move-In job to an empty 2 bedroom apartment. They sent two maids, both of whom showed up 10 and 5 minutes earlier than the agreed upon start time. I supplied all the cleaning supplies and when I returned 4 hours later, the apartment was spotless. They cleaned in and out of kitchen cabinets, the ceiling fans, the windows. I was extremely satisfied with the work these two ladies did. They even managed to remove some paint splatters on the hardwood floors. The bathroom was spotless and was scrubbed thoroughly.
I hired them for this one time cleaning for my parents (one of them disabled) who were moving into a apartment in an older house and their 4 hours of work saved us at least 3 days of cleaning had we done it ourselves! I highly recommend Miracle Maids!

Thank you.........all of you for a job done so beautifully and with such care. I was especially pleased that the photo frames were all cleaned, I am unable yet to pack them up. This remains a heartbreaking situation for me and to see all the grandchildren with clean faces was a gift to my soul. I have 2 young toddlers and my private maid became the nanny. I called miracle maids looking for the right fit for my family. They sent me two maids and they both did a Wonderful! Amazing job! WEEKLY service set-up for one of them and I have the other as a back up.
They are a great service and I appreciate all their help!

I had some trouble finding the right maid service, I am currently a disabled male and find it hard to maintain a clean home even with a home attendant. There professional and kind maids were fantastic. They assisted me in getting hard to reach places and made my bathroom shine. I will continue to use them and will refer them to other people.

I needed a spring cleaning, so I called. I was asked general questions about my apt, like how many bedrooms and how many sq ft. They told me the job would take 5 hours, because I requested extras, such as dusting the baseboards and cleaning out the medicine cabinet & under the sink in the bathroom. I found it strange that even after I made it clear that the 2 bedrooms were not to be cleaned, the estimate of hours and price did not decrease, but I agreed nevertheless. The maid showed up 45 minutes late on a work night, and although dispatch did call to notify me, I was given a poor excuse and flippant apology. She cleaned the apartment - using my supplies, as agreed upon. The scoop: (a) I've never seen anyone so wasteful with supplies in my life - eg she used paper towels, rather than the washcloths i gave her, to clean the kitchen and used multiple rolls; (b) she didn't bother to clean the medicine cabinet or under the sink as she was supposed to, a job for which I had paid an extra $30; (c) because she arrived late, but didn't want to leave any later (naturally) she quickly swept and mopped the living room (last room cleaned), but failed to dust, do the baseboards, vacuum the furniture, windex the glass, and so on and so forth. And the clencher - I was made to sign a contract stating that I agreed to pay an extra $20 for the maid to get home, since she was leaving after 10pm, as per their safety regulations. When she left, I offered to call her a car, to which she responded that she had already called & that her driver was waiting for her outside. But when I walked her out, I watched as she exited my building, walked directly across the street to the subway entrance, and went underground. I sent a very polite email stating that it was not my business that she preferred the subway but could I please be reimbursed $20 for the unused car service. And.... surprise, no response. I'll chalk this up as a learning experience, and never use their service again.

First, the one and only good thing - they really know how to talk on the telephone. They have intelligent-sounding, courteous operators who make you believe that this is actually a professional service. Based on what I had read and my initial conversation, I was expecting a well-coordinated cleaning team to come to my new apartment to get it ready (post-construction) for our move-in the next day. Instead, I got a rag-tag group of freelance cleaning people no better than the regular housekeeper we use come in and try to clean at a leisurely pace (without bringing their own supplies). In talking to them, it seemed that they are freelancers who make an hourly rate from Miracle Maids that is FAR below what MM charges and even far below the going rate for cleaning help in Manhattan. Far worse, when "quitting time" rolled around they all started to leave, without a care in the world that it wasn't even close to done. Even some of the places where they had supposedly cleaned were caked with dust. It was a disaster. MM did offer to send someone new for three hours the next day (the morning of the move in) at no extra cost, and he did a better job, but I still found myself cleaning construction dust the rest of that day.
The last insult: they double-billed my credit card. Whether this was intentional or not, they initially denied that they did it at all, and then asked for documentation and promised to look into it. More than a month later, I had to contact them - true to form, they apologized profusely and said they would call back the next day. They did not, but I did, and by the end of the day - six weeks after my move - the charge was reversed.
I will never hire or recommend these people again, and I recommend that anyone using a cleaning service ask a lot more questions than I did. I made a huge mistake hiring Miracle Maids.

It was fantastic, i had everything i wanted done.. she payed attention to details and the maid was not late..wich is a big one for me ,with other maid svc's always showing up when they feel like it ... also she spoke good english . she showed up cleaned and left... was not to expensive.. and i would def say she left the place looking like a miracle.

I was moving into my new apartment and needed it cleaned. Miracle Maids gave me an accurate estimate on what i would expect and cost. The maid arrived on time and thoroughly disinfected my bathroom( she even scrubbed the grout!)..the kitchen was a bit dated from the old guy who lived there before. ..i was alittle embarassed but the maid was soooo friendly ..my husband originally thought we had a yellow colored fridge but after the maid cleaned it inside AND out it was white and sparkling!!! i would defintiely recommend this company to others and look forward to my next appointment service..

The cleaning was thorough. The lady they sent was efficient and professional. She finished in less time than I had scheduled so she stayed for the full amount of time and organized my linen closet (a job that really needed to be handled.). Afterwards I spoke with the office staff, they were polite, efficient and made sure I was satisfied with the quality of the work. Then they were able to work me into my maids schedule so I could have my house the way I want it at least twice a month. I will tell all of my friends about this company, I highly recommend them.

This service is excellent when you call to make an appointment, but afterwards you are treated like dirt if you have a compliant. The cleaning person was elderly and showed up 30 minutes late to clean my empty 2 bedroom apt. I have pictures of all the items she did not clean and they still have not resolved this matter. It's been two weeks. I was given the run around the first week, no manager was ever available. The next week I was told that the only was to contact the manager was by Email!!! They then make an offer to have someone come back for two hours to complete the tasks that weren't done. I was charged $260 for 6 hours of work.

I think they only send these "professionals" to certain areas. I'm a pretty easy going person, but I'm never been so angry in my life. I absolutely feel ripped off. If the re-cleaning is unsatisfactory I will be pursuing this matter in Small Claims Court. Beware of this company!!!!!

My boyfriend and I needed one maid to clean a completely empty 1-bedroom apartment (a moving out job) and the maid took at least twice as long to clean it as I would have! She was slow and didn't even check the drawers in the kitchen and bathroom. The supplies you rent from them are inadequate, don't clean well, and are horrendously expensive. To top it off, they charged my credit card instead of my boyfriend's when I specifically gave them instructions (over the phone, twice) to charge my boyfriend's card. Whereas the $240 charge (for FIVE HOURS of cleaning - yes, $240 for only five hours of cleaning) was put through on my card the day after the cleaning, it has so far taken them over two weeks to issue me a refund - and no news about it yet! The company is a mess of miscommunication between its employees - I asked three different employees FIVE different times to call me back with news and updates the same day or to ask their supervisor to call me - not once did someone bother to return my call! They seem very nice over the phone, but beware. Their prices are out of this world and their incompetence at solving a simple refund problem is astounding and speaks volumes about what may happen to you if you try this company! Never again!

I went back to Miracle Maids to have my house cleaned. since I've used them last I've used other maid services but no one comes close. The people on the phone where great and the maids did an excellent jpob cleaning and walking my dog. Thanks Miracle maids for doing such a great job house cleaning. Your the best.

i was all excited about this company because they SEEMED so professional.
i arranged to have a housekeeper the day before i arrived home from vacation. looking forward to walking into the sparkling clean place they promised me, i could hardly tell if anyone had even been there. the only clue i had was that the vacuum cleaner was left on the floor, right as i walked in, rather than being put in the closet. besides that, there was dust, mess, and dirt everywhere. i have a small apt that i paid for 5 hours cleaning with special instructions to clean the baseboards, which were obviously not touched. i would be surprised if an hour was spent cleaning. i sent an email twice, and never got a reply. i was majorly disappointed!

I have used this service several times. The cleaners have always arrived on time. The job they have done cleaning has ranged from good to fabulous. I have a large place and it has always been left looking and smelling clean. Weather I have had just a regular house cleaning done or a floor to celing, over and under overhaul of a particular room, the work has always been better than good.

My home desperately needed cleaning, but I couldnt do it as I just had surgery and was in a lot of pain. WHen I called Miracle Maids, the woman was very friendly, and told me everything will be alright. I did a short estimate on the phone, they were very detailed, I gave them my Credit Card and that was that. They came over the next day and they cleaned my apt. The cleaners were very pleasant, they didnt say anything about my horribly disgusting apt. and I was able to relax while they were cleaning. They even asked me if they could get me something out of my fridge as they could see I was in pain. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. THe office staff more than kind, the maids were on time, efficient and pleasant. They really provided a Miracle for me that day.

Miracle Maids saved my life when I need a cleaning for my sisters baby shower. They came on time were very reliable and professional with everything. Not to mention the quality and value of the cleaning the people were very nice and left quite the impression on me. I know I will continue to use Miracle Maids in the future!!

i gave my girlfriend a cleaning for her b-day; they bought her a beautiful gift certificate, some heart shaped lollipops and a bag of gold chocolate coins. When they finished, the place looked brand new. I highly recomend Miracle Maids... and I know I'll continue using them.

I had a great experience with Miracle Maids -- they show up on time -- do a fabulous job and provide everything so I don't have to think about the cleaning or getting anything ready. They cleaned in and out of everything and didn't charge extra, they also use earth friendly supplies to support the environment and keep my home safe for my children and my cat. The office is always open even when I call late at night or on the weekend to schedule service -- I never get an answering machine I get a live person who is professional and polite. Plus I got a free hour when I reccomended them to a co-worker who needed help with some party service. Like their ad says -- they do it all.
