Although it can get hectic in this restaurant, it is worth the wait. The vegetarian rolls are fresh and the tofu and vegetable dish is excellent. Staff is diligent and service is fast. The restaurant is clean and the prices are reasonable. Check out their specials. Many Columbia University students frequent this place.

PROS: price, quality of food
CONS: very busy

Tomo's is great to go for sushi but don't go on the weekend because the prices jump from the average weekday prices. The best deal is to go on a weekday and have one of the box specials. You'll get tempura, sushi, rice, chicken teriyaki, and miso soup for around 7 dollars. If you go on a weekend, that price jumps to around 12 dollars. If you aren't on a budget, Tomo's has great sushi and sashimi and the service is really good. The only bad thing is that it tends to get crowded and the waiters mess up orders when it gets very busy. I wouldn't suggest trying the udon because it always tends to be slimy feeling.

Tomo has become my mainstay for sushi near Columbia. The prices are right - this is, after all, a college town. The sushi isn't the greatest in the city, but it is good for the price - no complaints. The restaurant is a good size, with average decor and a comfortable feel. The staff is always pleasant and welcoming.
The delivery service is fantastic. They will keep your credit card on file for simple ordering. Delivery is swift and accurate and the drivers are nice.
The menu is extensive and what you'd expect. Good lunch specials.

PROS: Fresh food, good prices, fast delivery
CONS: Nothing spectacular about it
