Okay for a last-minute meal but surprisingly mild-flavored for Mexican food. Best bet are the Brooklyn and vegetarian burritos. Super-sized, will fill you up for hours, but don't count on much in the way of atmosphere.

I called to order three hard tacos but they were out of hard taco shells so I ordered 3 soft tacos. When they came the soft shells were a sopping wet mess and completely inedible. I understand that tacos don't always travel well, especially soft tacos, but when I called them back to fix the situation, there wasn't a manager working and the staff couldn't do anything to resolve the problem. They told me to talk to the manager the following day and they gave me his name. When I called him he said he wasn't the manager and there were no managers. All I could do was call the owner the following day. I spent $9 (plus tax and delivery tip) on 3 tacos that I couldn't eat and have no recourse except to try to track down the owner. That is ridiculous. The tacos may be good at the restaurant but not delivered. I will never ever order from there again. It just seems like a poorly run place.

Pros: food came fairly quickly

Cons: No managers to fix a wrong, food does not travel well

The guy taking my order was not friendly but I don't demand that at a casual place. It took 15 minutes to get the food which is long for a taqueria but granted they do cook the meat fresh to order so that is a trade off. When I got my order though it was wrong. Having ordered a steak burrito and not a chicken burrito I told them and was told I had in fact ordered a chicken burrito. Having never ordered a chicken burrito in my life I found this doubtful and told them so but I was told that I was wrong. After getting nowhere I decided to eat the burrito which was bland and falling apart. I am originally from California so I have had many burritos in my life. This was by far the worst and the guy behind the counter made the experience a total disaster. I took two bites and left.

Pros: None

Cons: Bad food, worse attitude

You will not find a burrito bigger or more tasty than Buddy's. A plus - they are fast! When I have them deliver, my food comes in less than 15 minutes. Always.

Pros: service, great food

They have everything from burgers to burritos and offer lots of salsa toppings for free. It's right across the street from a movie theater so it's a great pitstop before or after going to a movie.

Pros: Cheap, Really Tasty

Cons: Fast food ambiance

The yummy fried fish tacos provide enough of a reason to come back. I wouldn't bother with the burritos though.

It's not fancy, but just try a fresh quesadilla with tender, smoky carne asada, hot off the grill and scattered atop the melted cheese and homemade guacamole. Perfect, perfect food. A complete meal, and only $6.95! Soooooo gooooood. I hope Buddy's is open forever.

Pros: Excellent food, very fresh, delivery!

Cons: Stick to simple stuff, cafeteria-style

It has long been a staple of Brooklyn's Cobble Hill neighborhood for the after work, on-the-way-home crowd and the weekend loungers. Either way, you'll end your meal feeling satisfied and stuffed. Be sure to ask about the rotating specials.
