I called well in advance for daycare, was told there would be no issue with getting the child in and that someone would contact me for a parent walkthrough. Hadn't heard from anyone in a couple of months so I called to see what was going

I can't speak for the other centers, but going to LAYG on South Bay Road has opened up so many opportunities to my son. He started doing their "summer camp" program last year, which was wonderful- the kids were outside several times a day and had all sorts of choices for what crafts or activities to do every day.. My son was slightly overweight before he went there and from all the activity, which is encouraged and controlled, he lost about ten lbs and is no longer overweight. He also started trying new foods as they serve lunch there during the summer. His confidence level and physical skills level are both way up. I'm very satisfied with the school and the teachers are wonderful. my son does not get into trouble there at all. Any discipline I have seen there has been handled with responsibility and promptly. Really glad we made this decision.

My son is 4 years old and attends Learn as You Grow's Universal Pre-K program. This program is wonderful. The facility is very clean, and the staff is friendly, and attentive. When first registering my son I was concerned that this free program may not measure up to my expectations. I was wrong. North Syracuse School was going to charge me $100 a month for 3 1/2 day sessions. Instead my son attends Learn as You Grow for free, 5 1/2 days a week and even takes the bus to and from the facility. This program has definitely helped to prepare my son for Kindergarten next year and I couldn't be more pleased with what he has learned and experienced. His teacher Miss Jenn is incredible. If I have ever had a question she responds immediately and my son thinks the world on her. I highly recommend this program to anyone with a child looking for Pre-K.

My four year old nephew attends this preschool type place for two hours a day. The building and rooms are clean and average sized and they have plenty of both traditional and state of the art toys and learning aids for the kids. Classes are kept fairly small so attention can be given to each child.

The class that my nephew is in is part of the school district and prepares him for kindergarten next year. He loves it and he is flourishing there. Although it is only two hours (which I think is far too short for a pre K, I believe that three hours is better), the kids do get a healthy dose of learning and playing.

They have snack and they are required to have a backpack and everything they would need in a real school.

The discipline here is obviously non violent. The kids get a warning and a time out if needed. There is absolutely no yelling, intimidating, threatening, or, of course, no hitting. Kids have to stick to the rules though and not hit or talk while the teachers are talking. This all teaches them to be ready for kindergarten.

Some kids can ride a bus to the center but my nephew can't because only morning kids can. He goes, obviously, in the afternoon. My sister was not given a choice of morning or afternoon but was simply told which program her son would be in. She has to drive him there and pick him up which isn't a problem as she isn't working now but could be for parents on the go.

One thing I find strange is that, for every minute a parent is late picking up a child, they are charged $1.00. I understand that they don't want parents abusing the time frames and leaving kids there after class but $1 a MINUTE? Needless to say, no one is late picking up their kids!

So far, all is well. My nephew is learning to interact with other kids and to listen to authority figures. He's doing assigned work and getting all the basics he needs for school.

This program was free through the school district. Not every child there is there through the school. Some are the
