Ratings_icons High Quality Care!

My dog was sick for most of his puppyhood with a chronic disease until I brought him to Dr. Collins who treated his illness very aggressively and got immediate results. Since that time I've tried their other veterinarians and have always been satisfied. It gives me confidence that they're AAHA certified - I always look for that in an animal hospital - and I like the 24/7 availability, too; it sure comes in handy when your dog gets horribly sick at 2 o'clock in the morning as mine did. Plus, I felt good that somebody was with him all the time when he had to stay overnight. Their staff members are helpful and polite, and I appreciated their compassion when I was so worried about my dog. In my opinion, this hospital provides SUPERIOR care; I recommend them without a reservation.

Ratings_icons THIS IS THE BEST HOSPITAL FOR YOUR PET! THERE IS NO PLACE BETTER

Libby M.

I would ask any pet owner, including yourself owning a pet, and ask yourself truthfully, and I do mean truthfully, when was the last time you ever had your pet treated for a disease or injury, that it didnt hit you hard in your pocketbook? This is to be expected. ANY hospital or health care facility for pets with the appropriate treatment or future treatment plan is not going to be cheap. We do not live in the dark ages any longer, when pets were expected to get better from an illness or injury all on their own. Fortunately we are lucky enough to live in a time where we are able to help our pets live healthier longer lives, so their sweet little souls can stay with us for as long as possible. You need the services available from the animal hospital you patronize (and be very glad their services are available to you the pet owner). The doctors performing these services, be they specialized or routine, do so because they chose to make animals feel better and want to help you do that for your pet as well. Yes, I agree, they do make money, but would it be fairer to have them work for free? Would You? I think not. We all should stop complaining because something costs too much. If we did less complaining and more praising we would all feel so much better for it. No procedure or treatment is performed unless or until you give your consent, and as such you are also given an estimate for the treatment or procedure to be done, prior. You are never turned away because you can not afford to do what is necessary. Most animal hospitals offer a payment plan to help with the burden of the costs. Valley Cottage Animal hospital even has a fund to help those who cannot afford expensive treatment. I dont believe other hospitals offer this option. Pet ownership is a huge responsibility. If the costs of pet ownership seem too costly, then perhaps the decision to have or own a pet should be strongly reconsidered. Veterinarians are to be commended and by all means admired for their abilities to diagnose patients that cannot speak but for the symptoms they exibit to their owners as routine, or by their behavior indicating that something may be seriously wrong. Most people doctors cannot properly diagnose and treat a person with the same abilities as the amazing veterinarian can. Personally, all of the veterinarians I have dealt with at Valley Cottage Animal Hospital are compassionate and caring incredible individuals with whom your trust is taken very seriously. If you are lucky enough to have a pet that you want nothing but the best for, then do the RIGHT THING, PLEASE TAKE YOUR PET TO VALLEY COTTAGE ANIMAL HOSPITAL AND BE ASSURED THAT YOU ARE DOING ALL THAT YOU CAN FOR YOUR LOVING PET FRIEND.

I think that they are fantastic. The doctors there really take the extra care for your pet. They are compassionate and professional. We have had to use them for regular health check ups as well as for very sick visits. The office is clean, the wait is reasonable. We are able to get appointments when we need them and they have always fit us in for emergencys. They now have 24 hour emergency care. We have also used them to kennel an animal when we were away. They took great care and paid detailed attention to our animal when we were unable to.

Ratings_icons An excellent experience

This hospital was open in the middle of the night with no waiting for a vet. I found a really sick kitten weighing .04 ounces at midnight and didn't know what to do. My regular vet is over an hour away and I had never had an emergency before. When I called Valley Cottage Animal Hospital they counselled me over the phone for several minutes before I was ever a client there. The asked several questions about the kitten before they told me to bring her right in. They were so comforting and helpful with their fast service and reassurance that they would do everything that they could. Their diagnosis was quick and accurate and their advice saved her little life. I was so pleased with the service that I continued to bring the kitten back to them for several checkups during her recovery. The fee was very reasonable even for a middle of the night visit and even though we saw 4 different vets during our kitten's sickness, we had the same wonderful, kind, caring experience each time.

PROS: open for emergencies, reasonable fees, wonderful caring staff

I had brought my dog in after a bite on an emergency visit and they were very quick and uncompassionate when I was very upset. I only used them that 1 time and I would not return for the post visit.

PROS: They are open 24 hours.
CONS: They don't care.

Let's face it our pets mean as much to us as our human family members. Who wants to go somewhere where they are treated like an animal?

The doctors at the Valley Cottage Animal Hospital know that your pet is a part of your family and treat them as such.

They are compassionate and the prices are resonable. Top knotch care!
