I celebrated my bday here last December and I had a good time. The employees made my birthday nice and stood true to their word and gave me a complimentary champagne bottle because I brought 15 friends! The manager even gave me free drink tickets because it was my birthday! Their cocktails/drinks were great and were worth the money. There was also no charge to get in, so no complaints! The only two things i didnt like was the crowd and the music. The crowd could have been more classier. The crowd looked a lil nerdy. The DJ also should have played Top 40, house music, hip hop all mixed together. Instead, from what I remember they played a lot of old mashups mixed in with some new. But other than that, this place was nice.

I threw a birthday party here for 30+ ppl. $50 got us a small cordoned-off area with a couch with seats for about 6 people. It was a bit crowded, but the makeshift dance floor was enough room. The DJ was awesome, playing a good mix of hip-hop from the 90s to today. We didn't get the free champagne bottle advertised on the website, though. Still, a good time was had by all.

I have only come here for their weekly Drum n' Base/House party on Tuesdays so that is what I'm basing my review on.

Sin Sin is the THE spot on Tuesday nights for electronic music fans. Their Camoflauge party has a great rotating lineup of DJs, including some big names in the Drum n' Base world.

The decor is a little cheesy, but at least the music is great, there's a lot of energy, and there's plenty of space to mingle and dance. Drinks are pretty reasonable and the bartenders are super sweet.

So i stopped by sin sin not knowing what to expect. Im usually a marquee or mansion type of guy but my boy had his yearly get together there and let me tell you the vibe is sooooo chill. Its not ur average club. Two floors and different DJ's kept me guessing all night. They played all the great hip hop classics that for some reason fall off every mainstream dj's play list. The batenders are extra attentive and I even had a chance to speak to the manager (who btw never gave me her number even after i hounded her for three hours) she took care of my boys and made sure we were all plastered by the end of the night. This place is lost in a corner of LES and thanx to citysearch i found it and plan on visiting again for drinks and for the managers number. Thanx nikki for an awsome night. See u soon.

My friend and I were on the lower east side and stumbled upon sin sin. We decided to stop by and check out the venue just for a drink. We ended up staying the whole night! The staff was amazing! The drinks were delicious and the crowd was great! Definitly coming back! I had an amazing time! I recommend it to everyone!

I researched for a long time to find a great place in the city for my bday. This place offered the best deal and had great reviews... def earned. This place wasn't up-against-the-wall-crowded like a lot of other city places. A majority of the ppl there were there to celebrate birthdays so there weren't a lot of random weirdos trying to dance up on you and bother you. I had a lot of fun with my friends in our reserved section and the dj even played my favorite song even though it "messed up his flow"... hands down great place to have your birthday if you want to dance and have fun with your group of friends.

This friday i had a surprise party at Sin Sin for my friends birthday! it took me weeks to find the right place but after reading the reviews on here Sin Sin sounded like the best bet. It was a great party with the best bottle prices that i had seen ever in the city. Everyone came in with no hassle and my bff was really surprised. A couple of people just didnt like the long train ride, from midtown but EVERYONE had a great time! Im already planning on having my birthday here in April.

I go here a lot, almost every other weekend and i really love this place. There is never drama at the door and the music is always good. I have had a few of my friends throw birthdays here and we always have a good time. For the first time i went here for happy hour which was pretty cool. 12 of us came here on a friday 2 weeks ago and really had a great time. I always knew they had great late night parties but the happy hour was pretty awesome! We will be back soon.

this place is a gem. i recently celebrated my bday and had one of the best nights ever. Nikki, the party planner was an absolute doll. she seated me exactly where i requested, and made sure me and my party was taken care of all night. in the past, i've dealt with diva'd out party planners who can ruin the whole night, not Nikki, not sin sin... will go back and highly recommend. btw, it's hard to find a place that plays awesome music and has hookah.... best combo ever! thx for a great time!

I had my 24th birthday at sin sin on a Saturday night, Nirav from Jet Set events set me up and did such a fantastic job. My friends and I had a great area with bottle service right across from the bar. I had about 20-25 people, It was perfect for us, it was intimate but with enough room for everyone to move around and dance. It had two floors but we all stayed upstairs since the music was so much fun--definitely the best part. I would absolutely go back and I would totally recommend it for a birthday party.

What made this party work was the people. A special thanks to alejandro and tiara, who were on top of my every request. Also, a special thanks to the support staff - mark at the door, the bouncers who were very understanding, and especially the bartender on the 2nd floor who managed a very crowded floor with grace and a smile. A little booze was enough to drown out the crowd, which was a little too packed, and the music which was a little too loud.

However service this friendly and accommodating is not something experienced very often. 5 stars.

I love this place, its easy to reserve a table to host a party. I emailed someone on the web site and had a response within 24 hours. Great customer service, bartendars make great drinks. Nice mix of music and diverse crowd is a plus. This was my 2nd time there, the only downside is sometimes it gets waaay too crowded.

i went to sin sin last wednesday and had a fantastic night.both floors had really good music and i danced all night long.the venue is quite small but great fun .the downstairs was one big dance floor and the upstairs was more relaxed.they played alot of old skool jams that i really enjoyed.it was a great night out and i will be back to sin sin on a wednesday for sure.

sin sin came very highly recommended by a friend so i made a reservation on line from their website.nikki one of the managers got in contact with me the same day that i submitted my request.she was very helpful from the get go.when i arrived on the night it turned out she was the bartender so she knew my name and all the details i had requested for my party.all my friends arrived on time and got in right away.nikki reserved us an area in the upstairs lounge.i was not charged a fee for the area and did not have to buy bottles .the dj was good and the place has a small dance floor in the middle of the room which was where i spent alot of my time.
sin sin threw a good party and all my friends had fun.me too.thank you nikki and staff for putting up with with me and my drunk friends.

i was at sin sin for my 25th birthday this year.they reserved me a smallish table next to the dance floor on the lower level.the upstairs is called the leopard lounge and the downstairs is called sin sin.it took me a minute to work this out.the dj played alot of music i loved and i was dancing all night long.we also had hookah pipes at our table that we were only charged for half of them so thank you alejandro (floor guy)who took care of me and my group all night.
the manager who booked me here asked me to write a review if i had a good time and i had a great time so i would recommend the place and go back again.

saturday night was my birthday and sin sin was the dsecided upon spot.i am a new comer to new york and a little nieve in where to hang at the weekends.i found the location on citysearch and had read the reviews of the place .i did think it was a little small upon arrival but what it lacked in size it made up for in character.there where two managers,Alejandro and Nikki.both of these members of staff deserve a mention cause not only did they have ballons for me,get me a cake with my name on it,and get me legless drunk ,they also had to deal with my drunken friends that can be a hugh pain in the behind after a few drinks.even the door men though gigantic in size where great fun and what drunken friends of mine they did ask to leave they did it in a nice way.i would highly recommend sin sin.they took great care of all my guests,not just the birthday girl.

i held a surprise party for my boyfriend this weekend at sin sin.i reserved the upstairs back private room which was perfect for all my guests to hide in .my boyfriend had no idea about the surprise.nikki the manager was very helpful and made sure all my guests were in the right place at the right time.we stayed all night till closing time and the place was a lot of fun.
i did read read on this site that the place was on the small side which is true but they pulled off a good party for my boys bday.

i have been a customer at sin sin for over seven years.they have kept the same staff and basic theme the whole time which basically is loud dj music in a red lit room with cheap booze ?usually late late night.and for the most part it works but after hosting my third birthday party there which was a great time i have too say guys lets have a revamp.its time for a new look but hopefully the same vibe.i will say the place provides a great night out but i will be seeking another hangout soon.i dont understand why places dont spend money on new additions when they are busy and of course making money.i find this in a lot of venues in the east village.when i ask about this subject they tell me rents are so hight that they cant afford to spend money on the place.

i mainly only go out on friday and saturday nights until this past wednesday when my cousin dragged me to a place i have never heard of called sin sin and their wednesday night event called soulgasm.it was a blast and very very high energy.very similar to the old shelter just smaller.i did some research and soulgasm has been at sin sin for five years.i dont want to miss another one.

this weekend was my bday at sin.the dj was good and the floor manager was attentive but the place was packed and very loud.maybe im getting old.they made sure all my guests got it and we got a good deal on open bar for two hours but just not enough room.next year i will seek a bigger venue.

this place was actually my emergency back up venue for my 30th birthday.the original spot was in the meat packing district and they cancelled my reservation one week prior to my party.so i gave sin a call and thank god i did.they had told me that they had limited space on the date i requested because it was only a week in advance.when i got there they told me that they had a cancellation and my group took up the extra space.the manager on the floor whom i think name was alex was very helpful and plied me free booze all night.the only downside to the lounge is the size,and i was hot also but all of us were dancing all night long.we all had a fantastic night and i highly recommend the place .its not as fancy pants as i wanted but it worked out in the end.

This place was great! I was visiting in town and someone recommended this place to us. We had a great time, the music was fantastic and the people were fun. i had my birthday on april 3rd at sin sin.the staff and mainly the manager went out of their way to make sure myself and entourage had a good time.music was just what i wanted.
the place is on the small side which was the only negative about the whole night.

i have been drinking at sin sin for over five years now.i recently had my cousins birthday party there.the staff all know me so i got a fantastic open bar for one hour.they let me dj also for an hour earlier on in the night.the drinks at sin sin are inexpensive compared to other local spots so all my group managed to get wasted on a budget as none of us have any money at the minute.
the place does get packed because its popular and you are always guaranteed a crowd.

myself and sister booked with the leopard lounge for our 30th birthday party.we had read good and bad reviews about the bar and went to the place before booking to take a look around and talk to the female manager whom had encouraged us to visit prior to booking.firstly i was concerned that the venue was small.we were told that we would have a bigger section on the night of our birthday so we decided to book.
the day of party the total number of guests nearly doubled as most of our friends are very last minute.i was convinced it was going to be a diaster as sin sin is a small place.the management were very responsive to the large change of heads to the party.upon arrival the staff had basically moved all the furniture in our section to make room.they extended the time that we had organised a drink special for us as they knew the party was going to be overcrowded and it would take a little longer for my guets to get to the bar.this was done without any requests from me or my sister and worked very well as all my guests were late also.the bartenders knew my name and my sisters name and handled the large crowd well.this small attention to detail was impressive and other than being packed all my guests had a blast.sin sin went well out of there way to make sure my party was a good time for all.i would host another party there anytime and might be back next year if they can add another room.

first off, i dont know how so many people review such highly of this place. It was because of these "rave" reviews my friend decided to held her birthday event there. She booked saturday night for a group of 30-35 people. When we arrived they bunched us all in the corner that fits 20 max. By 11pm the place was packed as hell. Seriously, we were packed like sardines in there! Had I called the fire marshall that night, the place woulda been closed down asap. Despite this, there was still tons of more new arrivals. They definitely overbooked for the night, yet still let more walk-ins through. Had to wait 30 minutes for 2 unqualified bartenders for an overpriced long island.

I dont know what goes on most nights, but if people see the night that I've been through at this place I really don't see them lasting long.

I have never wrote a review until now because I was highly disapointed in this place. I was looking forward to having a great time, but the management of this place ruined it. I was promised drink discounts, a complimentary champagne and hookah pipe, and a reserved space for 30 guests. However, the drink discounts were not given to me, there were no complimentary champagne nor a hookah pipe, and the space that was reserved for me looked like it could only hold a max of 20 people. It was WAY too crowded on the first floor while the second floor was basically empty and reserved for a party of few. There was no communication between the party bookers and the employees. I was told beforehand several times that it was okay to bring in a pinata and that as long as I bring it early, they would help me set it up. However, when I arrived that night, this mexican guy at the door gave me a hard time about it and was arguing with me for 10 minutes about how I was told that I could not bring it. Overall, the management SUKS, it was way too crowded, the drinks were expensive even though I was promised drink specials, there was no table service, and I did not feel like a special guest at all. All of my 35 guests were disappointed. Thanks for nothing.

P.S. - the bouncers were the best thing about the place.

i celebrated my birthday this past weekend at sin sin.the girl manager at the lounge asked me to do a walk-thru of the lounge prior to the party which i thought was a little strange at first.she was very clear on what space would be reserved for me and on the night i got exactly what was promised.it did not cost me anything to reserve and i did not have to buy any bottles.the place was packed but my area was roped off for the whole night (as promised.)and they had a floor host whom checked in on us all night long.
i highly recommend sin sin as a venue to have a birthday party.
also the disc jockey was just what we wanted and accomodated my requests for 80s music.
im sick of venues whom squeeze you dry of every penny for a crappy bottle and table.sin sin was the exact opposite and great fun.

I reserved 1.5 - 2 weeks in advance for 15 people, they promised me tables with a waitress. What I got at the door with my party was the manager saying someone had tried to call over and over to 'confirm' the reservation, but got no answer. I have a cell phone, I always have it with me, I didn't miss one call all day, total bs! We figured they probably over booked and then picked and chose which parties they would keep the booking for. Total BS! Therefore he said no tables for us. He gave me 7 drink tickets as a small consolation.

The place was SO packed we seriously could barely move, and it took over 25 minutes to get the bartender's attention for drinks. I am 100% sure this place is breaking the fire code, it was disgusting and sweaty and extremely unpleasant. If I could give this review as 0 stars, I would.

We went to Bar on A after 30 mins. (11th and Ave. A) and did some good dancing to 80s/techno music. But you can't get your birthday back for a whole year, so Sin Sin was a big mistake!"

I was really stressing my 30th birthday party for 2 months, worrying i wouldnt have enough space, etc. Well i had an amazing party. Nikki the manager (?) was very nice, and cooperative. She answered all of my questions and concerns. We got a really good price for open bar, and i didnt get charged a fee to have my party there. All the other places i looked into were charging an arm and a leg and werent offering open bars or even drink specials!!
We had a nice size roped off section and two tables for my guests. Ordered hookahs which came right away. Didnt have to wait forever for drinks even though there was only one bartender (that I noticed anyway)
The music was kinda crappy for my taste, at first (mostly hiphop and R&B) but later on the DJ started to switch it up. My guests all had a blast, got wasted and danced the night away.

I have to say if i wasnt drunk and didnt have like 30 of my friends there, i would think it was too crowded and annoying but i really didnt care cause i was having a ton of fun with my friends by that point. I would not recommend this place for a date, unless you are coming during the week. And i would suggest showing up before 10 and getting nice and drunk before the crowd gets there.

this is my first review, & also the first time i threw a bday at a venue, but me & the other 2 birthday celebrants had a great time! nikki, the booking manager, was great! she was efficient & very clear with her responses, which helped a lot when it came time to plan the party. they accomodated all of my guests, with no hassles or hesitations, even though my guestlist number kept changing. the party was held on the lower level, which was decorated very nicely. small tables, dim, reddish lighting, good amount of seating. was very pleased with the dj as well. in the earlier hours, played a lot of old school then continued on to play more hits & the crowd was very responsive. overall, had a great night at leopard lounge...room is a little small so it gets quite crowded...but it didn't really bother me `=] Thanks Nikki!

i threw my birthday at leopard lounge this year and was very pleased.leopard lounge allowed me to bring my own dj and he rocked it all night.all the staff were pleasant and made all my guests feel very welcome.the lounge was also inexpensive unlike the spot i had last year (in the meat-packing).

i recently booked my birthday party at the leopard lounge/sin sin after i read some of the reviews on the citysearch website.my number of guests grew rapidly the week of my party and i was concerned because i had told sin sin i had 30 guests and my list day of was 75 plus.the manager on the evening was very helpful in getting all my guests in at the door and everybody i invited had a great time.the dj was awesome.i had submitted a song request list to sin sin about a week prior to the party and the dj played all the songs i wanted to hear.the bar staff were pleasant even when they were swamped which seemed to be for the best part of the night..i would highly recommend this place to host a birthday party.it worked out very well for me and i intend to return to sin sin soon.

i just celebrated my 30th at sin sin on feb 14th.what seemed like a bit of a production just to book turned out to be a wild celebration.i had half of the downstairs room reserved for my group.i had requested pink balloons for valentines day and i got about 100 of them waiting for me when i arrived.the guy whom was the dj played all the music i love and i did not sit down for the whole night.sin sin is on the small side but all my firends had a great time non the less.

My buddy and I got together last week for a friends going away party. The management was nice enough to let us Dj. The sound system is great for a venue of this size. It does get crowded, but hey, its NYC.
The other attraction are the Hookah's you can smoke as you move to electronica or other global beats. Overall, highly recommended !!!

i discovered this joint on this website.i went on a wednesday for the party they call soulgasm.i have finally found a venue that reminds me of the old skool house venues in NYC that i miss and loved.firstly the music was perfect.there was no problem getting in and the door guy/manager actually gave me a big smile and spent five minutes telling me about the night.i highly recommend the venue and its midweek is now a hangout i can call mine.

This place is great for pretty much any occasion or simply a night out. It is two levels and the space is intimate. You wont have to yell to talk to your friends. There is an eclectic mix of people as well as the music on any given night. I personally prefer Thursday and Friday nights but I have been there on a Wednesday as well as a Saturday and was equally satisfied. The thing I really love about Sin Sin is that its not going to break your pockets to party there. The drinks are reasonably priced and not watered down. Also, the location of Sin Sin is prime because there are other places you can stop in and check out on your way. 9 times out of 10 you will end up coming right back to Sin Sin though. I had my 25th birthday there and they had the best bottle specials I have ever heard of for a spot in NYC. The music kept myself and all of my guests on their feet the entire night and I was more than satisfied by the end of my night. I still go to Sin Sin at least 4 or 5 times a month.

the manager of this place asked me to write a review after i held my 22nd birthday party here.so here it is.
they reserved me an area of the lounge for my party.i had 50 guestswe were not required to buy bottles and kept the section for the whole night.so it actually cost me nothing as all my friends were paying for my drinks and thats the way it should be.i also got a free bottle of vodka from the manager so what i remember of the night was all good and a bit fuzzy.i would return to sin sin and they actually do what they promise when your booking.

Just had to sign up and write something down about sin sin. Was in there this past weekend and the music was incredible, the DJ upstairs definitely knew how to read the crowd and he had me and my friends bumpin all night long. The bartenders were SOOO nice, even with the bar being busy and loud. We'd called ahead and booked a spot upstairs and had our own little area to chill at in between trips to the dancefloor and the manager was really accommodating. Haven't been there on the weekdays but one of my friends said they've got different parties there every night of the week, but not a lot of hip hop, so I'm not sure about that lol.

Will DEFINITELY be going back whenever I can get my people together again.

I had been to Sin Sin a few times before and really enjoyed myself ? so it made sense to have my birthday party there. The door staff is friendly and the management is more than reasonable with respect to birthday guest lists and open bars. I created an account on city search just to write a review on Sin Sin. I love it. The bartenders--amazing. They're always offering up new drinks for us to try, and they're so personable, actually, the entire personnel there are. Even on days where I do not particularly care for the music, I still find myself having a great time. The atmosphere is great. The hookah is a plus. It's just great to go some place and just have pure fun. You don't have to go to a mega dance club and dress up in a cocktail dress to do it. Everyone I have someone come to visit, I always take them to Sin Sin, and they are continuously asking to go back every time they come to visit again. If you're in to hip-hop, go weekends.

There is always a great vibe here. Its a smaller sized lounge with 2 floors. Tuesday nights showcases some of the best drum-n-bass djs on the ground floor and house on the top. Im not sure about other nights, check the website. The bartenders are quick and the sound is great for what it is. A fun night for sure.

This is your typical college feeling bar in the village. It gets super crowded. If you want your space, I would not recommend this spot. If you don't mind dancing and sweating and constantly bumped by people entering and leaving the place, then this might be your spot. Two floors with a variety of music. Small area in the "club" area.

Sin Sin is amaaazing. A friend planned my 21st birthday there and they were phenomenal with their deals- drink specials for the first hour, no cover for guests before 1230, and a free bottle of champagne. We got our own section upstairs, and the manager was great and really accessible. I called her on her cell just to check on things a few hours before the party and she got back to me within 10 minutes. The actual space is great too- we stayed mostly upstairs & there were seating areas, a bar, and lots of space to dance. The dj was great, the music was perfect, and we all had a great time. Great place to go, either to have a party, or just to go out at night.

My friends and I found this place as we were walking around the East side, unsure where to go next. When the bouncer says the magic words "No Cover" we just had to check it out. I'm glad we did. This place is really kool, nice red lit glow through two floors. Great music, hip pop, reggae; some spanish. The crowd seemed to be early to mid twentys mostly and friendly. We met some girls and dance for awhile, so it was a good night. The bartenders are also friendly and easy to talk to. Especially, this girl Trixie. If you go there, by her a drink :) I suggest if you are around the area and unsure where to go :) go check this place out!! I hope you have fun. Later.

I go to Sin-Sin often. OK, I guess I?d be considered a regular but, there?s a good reason for this. It?s the place, the people, the bartenders, the drinks and especially the music.

On any night of the week you can go to this 2 floor bar/lounge and find some of the best DJs in NYC spinning on either floor. From deep underground House to hardcore Reggae, you can find it all there. Personally, my favorite night there is Wednesday nights Soulgasm party which takes over both floors and draws one of the most diverse and friendliest crowds I?ve ever seen at a party. Wednesday also brings in some of the most amazing dancers I?ve ever seen off stage.

Any night at Sin-Sin is good with their comfortable, laid-back set-up, cool red lighting and drinks priced for people you actually know...not ones you dream of knowing. The totally unpretentious staff adds to the overall experience.

Sin-Sin is a great place to go for after-work drinks outside of midtown or to celebrate a birthday and there?s a cool private area upstairs that can be sectioned off.

I?ve been to many, many bars, clubs and lounges in NYC but Sin-Sin remains at the top of my list. Get there if you can.

Sin Sin was amazing. I planned a friend's birthday party there and everything went smoothly and we had a blast. Nikki and the rest of Sin Sin was so helpful and accommodating for our large group (40+ people) and some other special requests. The space we had was great: near the bar, in a corner, with room for people to dance, sit, talk, etc. I couldn't have asked for a better place, more fun, nicer staff, etc. Sin Sin was just perfect.

I have experienced the nightlife in NYC for quiet a while...not to say my age, but Sin Sin was a night to remember...my groups energy was in high gear and it stayed that way through out the night @ Sin Sin. From the welcoming door staff to the hospitable bartender that evening ( I think it was this past Saturday...cant remember her name, but she was hot!!) to the chillin music, our night was jamming and fun! I woke up this morning and felt like a new person! I would def recommend this joint for groups likes ours...I know I am headed back soon....

You cant imagine how much fun I had at this place. It's like a little club, the staff is great and friendly and you dont feel like you were in a bar you feel at a friends house that has really good sound system.
The drinks are really good they have a special one the name is Jack and Power. Ask for it is Jack Danniels with Colombian Power Energy Drink.

Had my birthday party here. Arrived with 18 people from dinner; met another 8 at Sin Sin. Nikki and the entire staff were incredible. We had champagne and hookah in a private area on the second floor-- never had to worry about changing coals or getting refills. And absolutely no 'power trip' trouble. Altogether an A++.

I had my birthday at Leopard Lounge last Saturday night and found it was one of the least stressful birthdays I have ever thrown! The staff was all very courteous, especially the girl behind the bar. She was always prompt to come over to me when I wanted to order a drink and it seemed she was very efficient with the demand. I was promised my own area and was given exactly that- I didn't have to deal with the hassles of kicking stragglers out of my area. Not one of my friends had any issue at the door and all were allowed entry. If you are looking for a no hassles place that is worlds nicer than your neighborhood dive bar, this is it. I would definitely come back again and recommend it to others.

I recently celebrated my birthday at Sin Sin with a big group of friends. I had never been there before, but I read a lot of positive reviews online so I decided to give it a shot. I booked online and the manager called me back within a few hours to discuss all the details. The staff was courteous and helpful, the night was fun and went smoothly, and everyone had a blast. The decor inside was really good for talking, mingling, and dancing and the dj was great. Has a great time at Sin Sin and would highly recommend it!!

Felt like I was back at one of my old college bars than a NYC Club/Bar. Over-Crowded, Rude people, Plastic cups (whats the deal with that), and over-bearing outside staff. The place is more of a dive bar with music, not an exclusive club. Not what I thought it would be.

Listen, here's the deal. I've been going to this place for almost a decade for several reasons. One, you know you're going to hear pretty good hip-hop. Two, because the downstairs bartender, Kevin, is the man. Three, because there's no hassles getting in, and there's usually some pretty decent talent on the dance floor. Four, because it's a great late night spot. It really gets good around 2:30, and doesn't shut down till close to 5. This place is all about reliability.

I recently had a going away party here. My guestlist ended up reaching 70 people, but even when it was relatively small at 20, Matt (the manager) was still very helpful and accommodating. There was excellent communication between the two of us for the duration of the planning, and he did not let me down.

And now to describe the venue itself: When you enter, it appears to be a cozy size - and not in a bad way. However, as the night wore on and more people showed, it was still quite comfortable. The decor is much better than it appears in pictures, and provides for an intimate atmosphere even when crowded.

The DJ was excellent, and had many people dancing the whole night through - even those who never dance managed to have a great time.

The drink prices are affordable, albeit a little pricey for the area. But, if you are planning a party, they specials are comparable to other venues throughout the city and instantly make Sin Sin / The Leopard Lounge a gem.

Finally, what most reviews might not touch upon... I sweat - a lot. For whatever reason, I'm always warm. But, this place had to be well ventilated or have the AC pumping because I was as cool as a cucumber all night long.

I highly recommend Sin Sin / The Leopard Lounge. I'm the kind of person who will easily spend days researching possible venues for that one special night, and this venue exceeded my expectations as well as my high standards.

Well I found this place on Oct.06 while buying some juice on this 24 hr store on 2ndAve with 5th and there was this beautifull asian woman standing outside of an restaurant with black windows. So after she went inside I fallowed her leading me not into a restaurant but loungue on a Wednesday night and after that my life has never been the same. Sure me and that cute asian had our fun time, not making out but dancing, socializing and having fun all night long. I had to drink a few energy shots to keep up with that place.

Well, all of you who thinks its too crowed or musty, whatever, try going there on tuesdays and wednesday.
If you like to meet cool people to dance with right on the spot then wednesday is the special Soulgasm night my friends. A special night for all those crazy and full of life dancers. Don't be surprise if you get their buzz too about whatever is going on the moment. I have made friendship with almost all the staff their already. Some people think I live in the attic, but now I know that on weekends it gets too crowed so try it on the weekdays. A much better experience if you can stay up late. we had a group of 6 go a few sat nights back. I was disappointed after reading all the great reviews - music was cheesy, crowd just as bad, and it was very small and too packed. We had to call ahead to be put on a list to enter and we didn't have to pay the $5 cover - the staff was very nice but I still won't be going back!

I met my friends here for a Birthday party. My name was on a guest list, so I didn't have to pay the cover and we had a private party room upstairs. The DJ was rockin all night, late night dance music was the best. The drinks were good :-) cute bartender!

This place sucked. First of they played Wham! all Night...seriously, Wham!. Im not joking. The DJ was obsessed, and had a George Michael neck tattoo...!? The place was packed to the brim with NYU douches and Axe Body spray . The drinks were way out of control!... ten bucks for a white chocolate martini!! I would rather circumsize myself with a car window then ever step back into this aweful bar. The bathrooms were nice though!

The structure of this bar might not be the best if you're going with a big group of people. Fun place though, with the two levels.

I had a big birthday party at Sin Sin this weekend and it was a blast. The DJ was great, the dancing never stopped, and the service was superb. They were very flexible with me in the planning and the guest list, the bouncers and bartenders were always looking out for me and my guests, and the drinks are great. I think its a great place to throw a party, and hope to do it again soon.

Sunday nights are lots of fun here. DJ kicks out the reggae jams, cheap Red Stripe all around, and lots of dancing/wildness. Nice bartenders, friendly bouncers, sweet time overall.

I have to say, this place is fun, but a little small, and it always has a musty smell when I go. Good for some moderately priced drinks and late night dancing, but it can get really crowded.

I was recently hanging out this Saturday night there and it was alot of fun. Bartender upstairs was making high quality drinks and even though it was crowded, you didn't wait long for a cocktail. Upstairs and downstairs both played great music. Upstairs was mostly hip-hop and downstairs played a variety of beats. Bouncers and staff were friendly and the atmosphere was really chill. I'd definitely go back!

I don't get it. I've been here twice and both times I got hit with 5 buck cover charges, even though we were there for bday parties. The upstairs is tiny and they jam the place with people. Most look to be NYU and underage or barely 21. The music is way to loud and ranges from Top 40 Rap to Madonna to Salt and Peppa. It was very amusing to see a bunch of guys get down to 'push it'

The downstairs was more chill but still pounded music. The bouncers were on point with anyone (male or female) that caused problems.

This place was much better when it was Leopard longue.

Went there with the girls this past saturday nite and had a ball!! come early to get a table on the 1st floor. the second floor was closed for a private party, but once midnite rolled around, the 1st floor was packed! people were dancing everywhere! place is small but big on service. the bartender was great and gave our group free waters throught the nite with our drinks. guys were pretty aggressive but def will come back for more!

I just helped my friend throw her birthday party at Sin Sin. What a SUCCESS!! We reserved the upstairs backroom (via Matt)... right next to the dj and dancefloor. We even had our own private bartender! Everyone in our group had a great time. We will definitely go back again. The only negative point of the night was... being from LA... we wanted to hear some California Love... but unfortunately the dj didn't have any West Coast rap.

I was there last weekend and had a great time. The two floors were filled with really chill people -- Not pretentious at all, just good, positive vibes. The bartender in the back room was sweet and the drinks were reasonably priced. It wasn't hard to get in, and the crowd was great. Awesome place if you just want to have a good time with your friends without the snobby drama you might get at some other bars in NYC.

I definitely recommend it and plan to have a party there in the future.

After reading all the rave reviews for Sin Sin I felt I had a very good chance of having an excellent birthday party there. I could not have been more disappointed. My open bar deal was changed from 3 to 2 hours long as I arrived to my party, they tried to turn people with valid IDs away, and the DJ played terrible music all night. In fact, i was told that they did not care what we wanted to hear, regardless of the fact that the majority of the people there were for my party. My open bar was eventually extended, but by that point everyone had already been so rude to me that i was extremely annoyed and frustrated. On a good note, the bartenders were fabulous and the space was great, but the owner and the DJ were enough to make me never step foot their again.

As soon as I walked in the door I fell in love with this place. It have a great decor and the vibe is amazing. You don't have to worry about what you look like, what your wearing, how good or bad you can dance. Everyone just feels the music and appreciates the feeling of complete freedom. Drinks are good for the money and I actually had the best long island ice tea that I have ever had there. It ws perfect text book but a little stronger!!! Can't recommend a better place to exist and remember why you love music.

My friend and I found this place kinda randomly last wed. night. some tall dreadlock guy outside convinced us to come inside (he got us in free!). the band was soo much fun!! the music was like kinda reggae funky but it had some tribal/rockin flavor to it? it was different! people were dancing and having a good time. my friend (a guy) was having a good time cause there were lotsa girls there. The band was crazy lookin! there was a shirtless dreadlock guy with his face painted that sang and played saxaphone. the guitar player was painted up kinda skeleton lookin? there drummer was all tattooed and wearing a suit! in between sets, one of the guys told me they are there every wednesday. were going to try to make it out again soon.

I came here for my birthday in July and had an excellent time. I arranged with the management to have a section of the bar for just me and my friends and none of them paid a cover (even though it is just $5). All of the staff was incredible and gracious from the bartender to the bouncer to the manager & made sure my friends and I were happy. This place is not super trendy and that is one of the reasons I liked it and we had so much fun. No pretension-which is rare to find in NYC. Now my friends are asking me about planning their parties there!!!!

I went there this past weekend with my friends and we had a blast! There was no cover charge and the drinks are very reasonable. Unlike most clubs in NYC, everyone was dancing and didn't care what they looked like. The dance floor was packed and the music was hip hop downstairs and 90's pop-sort-of upstairs. I really don't think I have had so much fun in a long time. We liked it because people seem to be there to socialize, dance and have a good time instead of "cheaking to see who's who."

Sin Sin is a great find in the East Village. I reserved a table for my husband's birthday and had a group of 10 friends and the service was wonderful. We had a birthday cake and everything,a nd the service staff did a great job in making sure all our needs were met. The drinks at the a good size and very reasonably priced. (Myself and my husband both drink quite a it and walked out with a bar tab under $50). The ambiance and atmosphere of the lounge is great, and the music on a Friday night is just right to enjoy some drinks and dance with friends. I recommend this place to any one looking for a laid back Friday night outing in NYC.

You can never go wrong here! I have had several parties here and they always show us a great time. The managers are very helpful in setting things up for us and actually remember us and our friends! Its great to be able ot go somewhere where you are treated like actual guests and you feel good about going there!

Loved it so much I recommended it the next night for another friend's b-day. The Saturday that I went a few months ago was a lot more crowded than the previous night, and the drinks seemed to cost more (?!), unless I was imagining things. The bartenders were nice, though. Hip-hop music had us dancing all night. There's a small dance floor, but the lounge is big enough so that you can still have a great time. The diner across the street is perfect for post-dancing munchies, too! I'm going back this Friday!

Saturday night found us walking around East Village looking for a place to hang, and Sin-Sin was just what we needed: cheap cover, strong drinks, and plenty of dancing! Got a little crowded downtairs, but the techno upstairs was pretty good! Highly recommended for the price!

Bring it ON! We went here with a group two weeks ago and could not ahve been treated better! I called ahead and we were treated like VIP at the door. Yes there were a few sloppy youngsters, but they in no way overwhelmed the place. The bartenders knew how to make all the girls feel special and the guys feel cool... by keeping the drinks coming! Friday Nights at Sin Sin/Leopard Lounge are hot. No Cover charge, good mix of people. The DJ downstairs rocks, he plays a good mix of music and keeps people dancing. And for a change of pace check out the DJ upstairs in Lounge. Good vibe good music and cheap drinks.

I have no idea who this MJR character is but he sounds like a disgrunted employee who lost his job. I've made a trip here with a date and sum friends. Boy, were we glad we stopped by this place is happening! Great music and an awesome vibe espcially on Saturday night!! Just make you ask your drinks STRONG cuz one of the gal (the chubby white chick) produces a WEAK drink. Why is it that guy's make a better bartender?! Is it cuz chick bartender think they're hot that they don't need to work just as hard. Anyways, be sure to ask for strong drinks and head over to Sin Sin. The DJ just knows when to play the right vinyl to keep the mood active.

Bartenders weren't much to look at.
Bouncers with bodies to die for, flirty, fit and fun.
Either the drinks were strong or we were drunk... or both...
