sort of yuppyish, bar in what might be the only nice area of Rochester, usually good beer on tap, and cask. maybe all cask even? I forget now. but they do strive ever so hard to be an old world british pub. even most of the servers are british, and all the food is fried (but good)
it's a good place to check out. just make sure you bring some serious funding.

This is a true British pub with authentic pub stools and all, beer selection is great, and the food is traditional pub fare and has improved much over the years. A good place to hang out with friends.

This is really a nice old british pub. It is very nice inside, the atmosphere is great, the people there are so friendly and the food is really good. I love eating there. Especially on fridays for there fish frys. The price of the food is kinda up there but it is worth it. During the warm weather you can sit out doors and enjoy. It is really a great place.

I have to say that, even though I now live in Manhatten, I sometimes miss the Old Toad. Its hard to describe what wins you over, but after a couple of visits this pub becomes the place you go when you want to feel comfortable. Friendly
