Jekyll & Hyde Club New York

This restaurant does not deserve a place in the boondocks let alone NYC. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Their training seems limited to the cheesy "entertainment" in which they strut around making inane conversation and insulting patrons in the name of casual fun. Our waitress took 30 minutes to serve 4 glasses of water. She spent a lot more time chatting up the youngsters at the next table who came in after us and for whom she left our table without taking our order for food. When she returned for the order, she came without a pen and took 10 minutes to return with one!! When we reminded her that we had requested water she responded rudely that she only had two hands. We waited over an hour for 1 pizza, 1 chicken salad, 1 side of veggies and 1 plate buffalo wings, then we left without eating. In the meantime we got flat beer, and watered down Pepsi instead of ginger ale, at intervals of 20 minutes after which the waitress disappeared altogether and never came back. The Manager was this kid who looked scarcely old enough to even be serving alcoholic beverages, he was completely apathetic to our complaint and just shrugged saying that food preparation takes time.

If anyone ever finds themselves in New York City at a time when there is no other restaurant open except this one, I urge you to find a hotdog stand. You will find the food, staff and service to be far superior.

I took a group of 78 to J & H Club. They cashed our $3,200 check for a 2-hour private party. No salads were ever received, 20% of guests did not receive food at all, the food that was finally delivered - after THREE HOURS of waiting and excuses - was horrible. Management will not offer any refund, even for the food that was never delivered. The will not return phone calls or email.

This establishment is a huge rip-off. We stayed 3 hours and 48 minutes before giving up. I highly encourage you to go to an honest, reputable and decent restaurant. You will be very sorry if you go here. By the way, food that did get delivered was absolutely disgusting.

DO NOT EAT HERE! IT IS HORRIBLE BOTH FOR FOOD AND THE "ENTERTAINMENT" EXPERIENCE. MANAGEMENT DOES NOTHING BUT OFFER EXCUSES - NO RESULTS.

I'm not the only one who says this - read the other reviews and SAVE YOUR MONEY!

The kids had a blast. The service was deadly. The drinks were awful. I had a beer that was skunky, a glass of wine that tasted watered down, and a bottle of wine that had a "SAMPLE NOT FOR RESALE" sticker on it that cost $38. The kids meals were way too expensive. Our meal was measely. The atmosphere was fun and the actors made my kids laugh. I wanted really fun "spooky" drinks, delicious food with quirky scarey names and really awesome service and I just didn't get it! THe menu was boring; the drinks were blah and the service was laughable. One of the worst meals over $125--and under--- that I've ever had. BUT the kids loved it. Go for the kids. Not for the food.

We have eaten here a number of times... Not for the food as much as for the Show that goes on while you eat..... They are all kinds of magic acts, scenes from the movie acted live, spooky people walking around, everything to keep kids and company from out of town entertained for hours without having to spend a fortune..... They have a good variety on their menu, not too pricey, and the food is decent..... They do not take reservations so sometimes in the busy part of the year there might be a 1 - 2 hour wait in line.... But there is all kinds of entertainment to keep the little kiddies busy, who knows, they might even become the main course.... hahahahahahahahaha

PROS: Fun for kids....
CONS: Sometimes a long wait in line........

The place is certainly unique, and entertaining for children.

The menu is your typical american fare - chicken fingers, burgers, more french fries than you would ever need, and overpriced frou frou alcoholic beverages for $10 a piece.

The food certainly doesn't live up to the prices, nor does the entertainment live up to the mandatory entertainment fee (assessed per person, not per table).

Overpriced, gross food. Don't go unless your children drag you in there kicking & screaming.

To get into Jeckyll & Hyde is their is usually a long line. Especially on weekends. Their menu is very expensive. The ambience however is top notch. It's decorated in Halloween type decorations and their is entertainment while you eat. It's a fun place to go if you want to treat yourself or if you're into goth.

If you are planning on checking out this restaurant, I wouldn't recommend it! For a theme restaurant, the food is average and the decor' is interesting, but they charge an entertainment fee that they do not tell you about until you get the check. The entertainment fee is for the wait staff that visits your table and talks to you. Last time I checked though, Mars 2012 didn't have an entertainment fee.

If you plan on going, know to shell out approx 2-4 bucks extra per person onto your bill for the "entertainment", which is poor at most.

PROS: The decor is fun
CONS: Entertainment fee!
