Tops Friendly Markets in Lewiston is the only nearby supermarket for much of the upper Niagara region. You can usually get what you need there. But if you can get it elsewhere, particularly baked goods and produce, do so. It will be cheaper and of better quality.

The management leaves something to be desired, but if you're just stopping in for some eggs and milk, then who cares, right? Well, it kind of comes through in the employees - they're mostly quite young and unexperienced and not particularly helpful. There's a lot of turnover since there's not much incentive for employees to hang around.

They have the self check-out lanes there which I personally love. I don't have to deal with clueless trainees and I don't have to wonder, should I look at them when they're ringing up the groceries (vulture-like staring) or should I look away (ignore the lowly servant).

So bottom line, it gets the job done. They also sell a fish fry on Fridays, but you could get it just about anywhere else in town better and maybe even cheaper.

PROS: Full of groceries
CONS: Mediocre as far as supermarkets go
