I came here with my mother for dinner and I'm sorry to say I was totally disappointed. I ordered butternut squash soup which was good. The caesar salad however was way below average. It's my favorite salad ever and theirs tasted nothing

I was at Fetch a few days ago with a couple friends. We had a very good experience . The food was very good. I order the lamb shanck and it was excellent. My friend got the cheesesteak and he loved it. Every one was very haply and the service was very good. Every one there is amazingly friendly. I was even a pain and asked for a few things, condiments, etc and everyone was eager to please us. We will definitely be back and I would recommend Fetch to all of my friends! P. S. The decor is ADORABLE! Cute dogs everywhere! Love it!!

Fetch is fantastic! Classic american comfort food, comfy friendly atmosphere, excellent service. Love love lovvve their mac n cheese (as good as grandma's homemade!) and the loco moco for dinner. If you go for brunch, try their cinnamon raisin french toast (delicious!) or anything with thier tasty hollandaise sauce (love the huevos rancheros).

The atmosphere is dog friendly and they're active in animal rescue and adoption. Their walls are plastered with dog pictures, you can eat with your dog in their outside cafe area and they have a mission to help homeless animals in and around nyc. I appreciate that they practice what they preach. Take a look at their adoption wall! You may just find yourself a new pet :-)

They've got something for everyone and you won't be disappointed!

The food is top notch! I really enjoy the philly cheesesteak eggrolls at dinner & salmon scramble for brunch!

The selection is extensive, the atmosphere is cozy and unique (COVERED with dog portraits), and the service is outstanding.

I recommend it.

I have been a regular at Fetch for almost three years now and I will be back for many more. The atmosphere and fun loving staff make you feel right at home, which is fitting since what they do best is COMFORT FOOD! Their mac n cheese is nothing short of amazing! The portion is huge and you can add anything you want for just $1 (I recommend the mushrooms and bacon). They claim to have an "original Philadelphia cheese steak". As a Philly native I was skeptical...I was wrong to be. I was shocked when I saw that they used actual Amoroso roles. Their cheese steak is as close to an authentic Philly steak as you can get in NYC. The beer and wine lists are very well rounded and they offer a different set of "signature" drinks on both their brunch and dinner menus. The drinks all have cute and catchy little dog names. The "Best In Show" margarita is my favorite. It's huge, it's strong and it's well priced. The best part about Fetch is that they have a mission, apart from great food, they strive to help homeless shelter pets find homes. It's a feel good kind of place, with feel good kind of food and a mission you can feel good about. Go Fetch!

There isn't enough good that I can say about Fetch. I went one afternoon just to meet up with a friend after work and have been hooked ever since.

The food is incredible. To call it simply comfort food is not doing this menu justice. Sure it has all of your favorite foods, but it has completely turned them on their head. It may seem like the menu is stocked with familiar classics but your taste buds will be completely awed and your belly will be happy with the large portions.

Plus, just when you think there has to be some downside to such a great place, there is the wonderfully courteous staff making the whole experience that much better. Add in that they give to charity and help homeless animals get adopted and you find yourself in a truly incredible upper east side gem.

Fetch has to be one of my favorite restaurants in NYC...
It has such a warm and cozy atmosphere, it is a great family environment as well as great bar scene... Not only is the food amazing and comforting, but there are also a lot of awesome and good healthy choices including vegetairan dishes as well!... Overall, I am always in a great mood when I am at Fetch, being welcomed with warm smiles and friendly people. Decorated with pictures of adorable dogs around the entire restaurant, you can't help but to smile when you are there. Regardless of whether you are there for brunch (on Saturdays and Sundays), lunch, dinner or just evening drinks, you will find yourself surrounded by good company, stellar food and awesome drinks.

Cool place,

Food was ok, something tells me Sunday evening is the B team. Most of the reviews seem to love the food, and ours was pretty mediocre. I'm not a picky eater at all, but my steak tasted like oil and not much else, vegetables were underdone, mashed potatos were ok. Her greek salad was pretty good though.

Service was ok also. The waitress was nice and friendly, but we ran dry on drinks several times, while she sat at the bar watching television. Food came out quickly, and was brought by someone other than her.

I may give it another shot since the other reviews are so good, but I wouldn't go on a Sunday.

I have been to Fetch four times so far, and it never disappoints. Though the place always seems packed, I almost never have to wait for a table. The one time I had to wait, we sat comfortably at the bar and had a drink. The hostess was so apologetic that we had to wait 15 minutes.

The food is delicious and they have a great beer selection. Typically, I enjoy my own food, but also drool over what I see everyone else ordering. I recommend the meatloaf and the chicken club salad. I'm also dying to try their calamari.

The service is prompt and the staff always seems so friendly. I love that this place is not too formal and very comfortable. On their patio, they also put out water for dogs. Such a cute touch! Their dog photo decor is also adorable.

I will continue to frequent Fetch. What a great neighborhood restaurant!

I LOVE this place. The decor is super cute and perfect for dog lovers. My boyfriend and I have dinner here pretty much any time I'm in the city. The tables are intimate and not too fussy. There is usually only a small candle, sometimes flowers. The food is delicious, big portions and reasonably priced. :)

I've been going to fetch for 4 years now...great burgers! The service is always friendly and the owner and his wife are almost always around circulating and greeting the customers. They have tons of cute pictures of dogs all over the walls that customers have brought it....bring yours in a frame and they will hang it up! They let you dine in the front with your dog during the warmer months. A great place that I will continue to visit.

I normally go for places that have new and interesting food, but Fetch is one of the few places I keep going back to for the basics. The meatloaf is fantastic and the burgers are perfect, especially the burger bowl (burger and an egg over rice and smothered in gravy anyone?) The salads all taste very good, especially the Adam's Apple salad and the Asian steak salad. I don't recommend the philly cheese steak rolls unless you follow the Cheez Whiz school of cheese steak perfection (I prefer real cheese in mine). The calamari is grilled instead of fried, making it simply delicious. The only complaint I have is that I enjoy a bourbon and Coke with my dinner and the Coke in this place is always very flat.

The people who work in this place are real nice and very friendly, especially the big, scary-looking, biker-type host (he might be the owner?) As a plus, you can dine with your dogs in the sidewalk eating area. The ambiance inside is pretty standard, more cozy than a diner and comfortable to hang around in. Pictures of dogs adorn all of the walls and I think they run some kind of adoption program there as well.

In short, Fetch is a restaurant with a heart that offers good food at a decent price and probably something on the menu for almost anyone.

delicious! portions don't need to be so large - but the food is excellent across the board. I highly recommend the greek flatbread salad and my boyfriend LOVES the grilled calamari app. They have the best veggie burger - it doesn't taste overwhelmingly healthy, but it's filling and rich.

I have loved Fetch for many years. When you're looking for a good neighborhood place, this is it. Love the beer, the brunch, the steak, the mashed potatoes and the burgers. My only complaint is that they don't change the menu much and don't have any daily specials (well they say they switch up the soups and risotto but it seems like the options are always the same). I'm writing this in hopes that the owners will see it. Hey owners/chef- we'll come to Fetch more often if you change up the menu a bit or just start doing daily/weekly specials to spice it up a bit. We love Fetch but get bored sometimes. I've tried almost everything on the menu and would love some new choices!

I'd been to Fetch in the past, but recently had the opportunity to have brunch there on a Sunday and then dinner two nights later. On both occasions the wait staff was friendly and efficient. The food is above average. The Sunday brunch pancakes were just right. Perhaps the most unique and one of the best things on the menu is the Philly Cheese Steak Egg Roll. Yep...it's just what it sounds like: cheese steak fixin's wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and deep fried. It's fantastic. Of course, it's not the healthiest thing on the menu, but there are two per order, so it's great to share.
The other thing to note is Fetch's "mission", which is to showcase rescued and adopted dogs (hence the name). It's a worthwhile pursuit and they should be commended for their actions.

I went there this past Saturday with friends and family. It's a cute place with a few tables outside and a dog theme inside. My friends and I got mimosas and amazing food for reasonable prices. They have this strawberry butter they serve with the bread that is sooo good. We had a sweet waitress with curly blond hair take care of us. She was very attentive and extremely friendly. I highly recommend this place. Great food, great waitress! You'll love it.

Been going there for years and find having a beer or light meal in their bar area to be relaxing with a mature crowd--not the frat boy crowd that talks too much and too loud. However, dining in their sit-down area can be dicey. The waitress's don't seem too attentive. They take your order and then dispappear, leaving the "runners" and Bus-boy's to be your contact for the rest of the evenings. The last time I dinned, my appetizer didn't even get delivered until the runner realized it after bringing my entree. Thus I had to eat both dishes together. The waitress screwed up. Their waittresses appear to be young girls who act as if they're in some play, not taking their jobs seriously.

I'd go to the bar for drinks but would avoid the dinning expereince--there's something phony about the place.

This is my favorite place on the UES to meet friends for dinner or order takeout from. Everything on the menu is delicious, affordable and good solid American/Italian comfort food. Service is almost always attentive and friendly in person and on the phone. Highly recommend the chicken fingers, veggie burger, blackened salmon, apple salad, and most definitely the apple-berry crisp served piping hot topped with crispy oats and ice cream.

My sister and I stopped in on a Wednesday night at 9:30. There were plenty of tables, and a very cozy atmosphere. The menu has a lot to choose from--classics like burgers, meatloaf annd cobb salad--to the Philly Cheesesteak Eggroll App and Adam's Salad with griled Apples, pecans, and wild mushrooms (it was wonderful!) The menu was very nice and reasonably priced, we enjoyed our drinks (hot mulled cider with rum :), but the waitress was terrible. She got the order right, and that was about it. I ordered bowl of soup and salad, my sister just a salad, and we got thrown all the food at once--there was barely room on the table in front of me for both. Too bad she didn't even ask if I wanted the soup first. Our food was brought by the runner, our table rewatered and cleared by the busser, and we had to flag her down to get another drink--which she brought but didn't even ask if everything was ok. While we were waiting for the check, the other waitress started taking all the flowers off the tables (because they were closing soon)--including off ours while we were sitting there! Our waitress asked another table about 4 feet away, then came over to ours and said, "What about you." All this while she burped in our faces and then says, "Sorry, I ate too much." I told her we would have the check please, she walked over and threw in on the table. After running my credit card, she threw in on the table again--and never said 1 word! No "thanks for coming in" or "have a good night"--NOTHING! She was too busy digesting her dinner she was eating in the back instead of giving us service.

I think we'll be Fetching take out only from now on.

If you don't feel like pizza again or some beer stenched, overcrowded, loud place like 95% of upper east side casual dining establishments, THEN GET IN HERE! It's awesome. I've been here multiple times and can't complain about anything. Friendly staff, management, and great food. Chicken sandwich is off the charts! On of the classier, casual spots on the UES.

So--I've been here many times but Brunch today was a new experience. I ordered aa drink with my brunch, and it arrived with a fly in it. I've worked as a bartender and I know that happens when you don't make fresh mixes in the moring. No biggee...just make a fresh one. My eggs arrived and there was an ant crawling in the garnish...I sent it back. Never saw the waitress again until I asked for the check. When it arrived, she said they didn't charge for my meal, but it was probably because I was eating outside. I said (calmly) that I didn't want to hear who it was my fault, but their explanation wasn't the point. The manager decided to come over at that point and tell me that in the future I should eat inside. Not what a regular customer want to hear. When I said I probably wouldn't be back, his response was, "Good" as he stalked off. Used to like the place as a family friendly eatery, not anymore.

Cons: mean spirited management

.

I've been to Fetch several times and so far haven't been disappointed. The atmosphere is great, especially if you're an animal lover, and the menu selection is well suited to the decor. There's also an interesting beer selection if you're looking to try something a little different. If you have a dog you'll probably love this place and may end up getting you dog's picture on the wall as several other patrons have done. How adorable!

I just moved to the neighborhood and have been trying all of the resteraunts around me. Fetch looked cute and always has a brunch crowd. I went for dinner and thought the atmosphere was really nice and fun. The service and thr food was terrible though. I ordered a dirty martini that was not dirty at all-and when I asked the waitress to make it dirtier, instead of reshaking/making it at the bar, she broght me over some olive juice in a cup!? Maybe I should have stuck with beer. My food was very bland and overpriced for what it was. It's like they wanted to be a step above a sportsbar but increased the prices without increasing the menu quality. We asked for the check and had to wait 20mins for the waitress to come back and take our card. I won't be back.

Pros: Atmosphere, dog theme, outdoor seating

Cons: service, food, price for what it is

The restaurant was cozy and a dog lovers paradise. The service we experienced was friendly and good. Don't know about the more expensive items on the menu but that's not what we went there for. I can say that the wraps, burgers and salads were all fresh, tasty and the mango margareta at $9 was WELL WORTH the money. It was delicious and large!
If you bring a framed photo of your dog/s they will even hang the photo on their wall.

In an area where quality Hamburgers are abundant, Fetch offers the "standby" burger plus extra comfort food. I think the real deal here however is now is the recent attention to their Beer. I stopped eating and drinking here years ago because I found the beer to be flat, and nothing was ever done about it. On my last two trips, I was surprised and delighted as to how fresh and cold the beer was. AND they even have the Proper Beer GLASS for each BEER ! well done.

Pros: BEER, BURGER, STAFF

Cons: CHILDREN, CHILDREN, CHILDREN

Although the decor is appealing and homey, the food is horrible! My appetizer and entree were flavorless and lukewarm. I ate about 1/8 of my entree and when my waitess came over, she didn't even ask if there was something wrong or if she could take it off the bill for me. She was rude and just didn't care. I am not that hard to please at a restaurant, but Fetch is just really bad.

My fiance and my best friend both live on the Upper East Side, and practically every time I am in their neighborhood (which is close to always), we are at FETCH. Whether it is a weekend brunch, dinner, or just hanging at the bar for cocktails, we always have THE BEST TIME. It is such an up and friendly atmosphere, with the best staff ever! And when my fiance and I just want to have a nice, romantic date...still our favorite place! We get one of their great window or cozy corner tables...awesome. Last but far from least..THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING...the menu offers something for everyone, (even vegetarian, fish eater, etc)But whatever you're craving, they've got it.
Wow, I just reread this...Can you tell I LOVE THIS PLACE???!!!!

This is by far the best restaurant on the upper east side. What they do to save the homeless and/or shelter dogs is amazing. I love the food. The sevice is always friendly and commendable. I eat there at least twice a week. Always fantastic! I highly recommend it.

Nice try...They got me because they do work with animl adoption, and I'm a sucker for lost dogs, so I went in (I bet they get lots of dog lovers to come in).It is a trap ! The food is well bellow average, and the prices are well above what you pay on the Upper east side, I must say the crowd was the best thing they had going the night I went, it seems like they all knew each other, I must have missed something, I don't know, maybe I'll try it again sometime, maybe in a less crowded night the service will be a little better...but then again...I don't know...

I love fetch and I go there almost weekly. The penne with pesto and grilled chicken is amazing (and even better the next day for lunch!) Customers photos of their dogs enhance the warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphere. The service is attentive yet relaxed. I have never felt rushed, always get prompt water refills (etc), and the food comes quickly. (Please note in Manhattan I always have to pay for coke refills :) I have brought many people to Fetch for dinner and they all love it! I also have to commend Fetch on their commitment to helping unite dogs with loving homes through locals orgs such as Animal Haven

I've been to Fetch a few times for brunch and the place is great for a quick meal. I've brought my family and visiting friends on Sunday and we've always had a great time. I'd definitely recommend trying them out.

Fetchs
Upon returning to the city, after the mandatory move to N.J. to raise a family, I was introduced to Fetchs on the Upper East Side, a pleasant surprise. The luncheon and dinner menus are varied and tasty. After several visits I was invited to place a photo of my little girl Gretchen, the cutest Jack Russell in the world, on their walls joining a large montage of other adorable four legged Best Friends. On my last visit, the local animal shelter was given the use of the restaurants outside tables and chairs to help place some of their homeless citizens hoping to situate them in loving arms.
Fetchs commitment to animals is only surpassed by the savory entrees they serve. Their dedicated work in the community should be applauded. I look forward to my next visit. A.J.

I went to Fetch because I passed it and didn't know any better and had a terrible experience. Not only is the decor subpar (dog pictures adorn the walls) but the service was slow and the menu uninspired. But if you take nothing else from my review, get this: The waitress kept offering to refill my soda and when I got the check at the end of the meal, she had charged me for all 11 sodas that she refilled between me and my guest. Free refills are standard practice these days, especially when the waitress takes it upon herself to do so. Overall, this was a terrible place with a terrible meal, flavorless steak, and ripped off in the end. I was very disappointed.

Fetch is my new favorite place to go. The staff here is friendly and accomodating. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. This place has a great big, beautiful bar that I love to bring friends to or go by myself, and the dog photos on the walls, which I believe are brought in by customers, make it so fun to look around!

I had a blind date there the other evening and was nervous about the ambience. When I arrived, there was the most beautiful friendly blonde greeting us at the door. We had the best meal ever!!! I will most certainly go back.

This place has it all- a great atmosphere, very friendly waitstaff, amazing food and a litte something else. Don't let the "dog motif" throw you off, it is a gentle and wonderful touch to the restaurant. Fred's has become my favorite neighborhood place (speaking about the one on 3rd Ave).
