We went on the dinner cruise last year after 25 years of waiting. I wish we had kept on waiting. You have to declare your entree when you reserve, and get a choice of four things. We chose the prime rib. We were board and hour before leaving the dock. I suspect this is to corral us into buying teeny little expensive cocktails, in despicably crummy little plastic glasses. It was warm, but no fans, and horrid, and I do mean horrid jazz type muzak was piped in loudly.

Eventually, we were served a willted very sad salad, again on the thinnest, cheapest plastic plate possible. After we were finished with this Then we got our entree. A juicy, thick prime rib with absolutely no seasoning or flavor, a baked potato, still wrapped in aluminum foil, and some sort of canned corn mixture. Then they brought dessert which was strawberry cheesecake. Not everyone likes cheesecake. Most of our was left.

This was a birthday celebration for our kids. which they announced, and then MISPRONOUNCED my son's three letter name.!!

The cruise was mostly in the dark; they had no information or historical info type stuff about the lake (reportedly the term "T-Totaler" began here. The lights were needlessly bright, and the AWFUL FREAKIN' music. If they were going to pipe in music, why not Michael Buble or Josh Groban? Or better yet, a keyboarder who takes requests. And there is room for a dance floor.

This was longest four hours of our life. We live on the lake, and it was so boring and awful, I threatened to jump off and swim home! There was a rush for the gangway when this tortuous evening was over with.

The couple in back of us was also from the area, and they had also waited to go on this cruise. They said the same thing.

For four people with dinner and drinks it was nearly $200, for terrible food and and awful evening.

Located on Seneca Lake in Watkins Glen is a must if in the area. We always go for dinner, but I hear the lunch and brunch are fantastic too. Reservations are needed and inquire about the menu fro the night of the cruise as it changes throughout the week. I recommend the prime rib, we have never been disappointed. Great for celebrations or a group of friends. Weekend cruises book up quickly in the summer so often mid week is easier to get a reservation. Dinner/ Cruise is around $40, (alcoholic beverages not included ) good value for a great dinner adn beautiful peaceful scenery.
