Madison & Vine offers a casual elegant atmosphere. We are located on the first floor of the Library hotel situated in midtown. We offer a wide array of American fare for both lunch and dinner. We offer basic bistro items that are well prepared and well presented. Such items include a burger (prime sirloin with cheese served with beefsteak tomatoes, butter lettuce, red onions and Madison mayo on a toasted brioche roll with herb fries), a cobb salad and a Kobe beef club.
I typed a whole detailed review here but I ended up losing it. So I will make this brief. I picked this restaurant for my husband's birthday by chance through Opentable hoping for some good comfort food. Our party of 4 had the best time in a restaurant in years. We dine all the time out all over NYC, between nice white table cloths and casual restaurants. Don't let the chocolate espresso polished tables fool you, you will get top notch service here at Madison & Vine. No wonder, the place was packed on that Thursday night, It is apparently very well run by a manager that is friendly, nice, hospitable and extremely knowledgeable. The server was very helpful and took an excellent care of us, she was always one step ahead of us with our needs. My group was fascinated by the presence of the manager on the floor, you see him everywhere chatting with all the customers, you'd wonder where he gets the time or patience. By far, the best Manager or Maitre D' we have encountered in NYC. And if you don't know what you'd like to eat or which one you'd like, just ask him, he'll know and trust me you will love every bit of it.
So Bravo!! and Thank you Madison & Vine Management and Staff for making Our experience very memorable, we will definitely be back many times.
Pros: Nicest and Most Helpful Manager in NYC
Cons: Too small
