Cozy is warm and welcoming and serves delicious burgers. The staff is friendly and they are patient with picky eaters. The fries always taste fresh and are crispy.

Great lunch spot
by lh993
I worked near Cozy and had lunch there almost every day. It is definitely one of the better NY diners. The staff was always really amicable and friendly. As the name implies, the soups and burgers are very good. It is always very crowded during the lunch hours so they are trying to turn tables fast but it is definitely one of my favorite spots in the area for a quick and cheap bite to eat.
Pros: Food, price
Cons: Small & crowded

Typical New York City take the money
by chinaboy85
Service is good to seat you and than take the money to get you out.
Food is bad and Soup is very poor.
Good for people with bad taste , but other wise , there are many better diners in the area.
Here is your classic greasy spoon diner, poorly run until it comes time to take the money.
Pros: close to home
Cons: this place needs serious overall in management and staff

I enjoyed the breakfast.
by gwenzel
We had brunch there on Saturday, 9/27/08. I had a bacon and cheddar omellette, home fries and coffee. I really enjoyed it. Yes, it was cramped and over priced, but what else would you expect in NYC? A patron at the table behind me yelled at the waiter about the prices and really raked him over the coals, and the waiter remained polite and respectful. I would go there again.
Pros: A cute diner in a trendy section of NYC, extensive breakfast choices, quick service
Cons: A little pricey, but that describes all of NYC

People are too fussy!
by MeowKitten05
It's a diner! It's around the corner from a couple NYU dorms, it's open 24 hours, it's fast, and it's not ridiculously expensive for being in the middle of the village. Come here between 11p-7a and you won't be dissapointed!
Unprofressional? Geez. Stick to the places where they have 18 buck burgers.. (Not including tax, tip, and obviously a drink as that 17 buck guy was talking about)

Hair and plastic in food
by sjain138
I went here twice and that was enough. The first time I found a hair in my omellete, and today there was a piece of plastic cooked into my side of home fries. The manager didn't apologize, and only offered to not charge me for the home frieds that had plastic in them. He did not bring me a new plate of home fries. The servers are nice people but that was the only positive part of my experience.

Our Favorite Diner
by erikakeiko
I've read previous reviews complaining that the meat is too big...I'm sorry but if the meat surpasses the bun...I'm in!!! Their burgers are VERY tasty, and their burger/fry combo is no where near $17!! We go to this diner almost every weekend and I've pretty much had it all...from breakfast to burgers down to their shakes and all I can say is, "YUMMMM!" Fast service and cozy atmosphere! Big Perk: We once sat in a booth next to Philip Seymour Hoffman! HaHa!

Just HORRIBLE
by jenny715
Wow by all means, save your money or spend it somewhere else! I bought a burger and fries from this shop and it ended up costing me 17 dollars but this is not the worst of it. The burger was oversized and extremely LUMPY. Like it was very uneven in areas such as being way to thin in some areas and way too think in others...it was gross. I ended up having to cut off the excess lumps of burger that was literally protruding from my bun. Gross. The burgers really don't have any flavor at all. This is nyc , there are plenty of better burger joints than this. My friend ordered a greek wrap and she was equally dissapointed with her order.
Pros: its in a cool area...soho.
Cons: The prices in comparison to the quality of the food.

Great Burgers
by emanyool
Cozy's is one of the great Greek-American owned diners in New York City. Here the burgers are as tasty as they are huge, yet they never rank in "best of new york" lists because the setting is an ordinary diner and not a gimmicky hipster hole in the wall.
Pros: great burgers

At 4 am, you can't do better
by pandacub143
The food is average, the seating a little cramped, but at 4 am, this is the place to be. No matter what time, there are always people here and fast food. The menu is extensive, with more than ten ways to serve a salad, breakfast all day, and good burgers. The service isn't wonderful, but hey, its a diner, and we don't have enough of them in New York.
Pros: 24/7

The City's Worst
by mizowizo
The worst overall experience I've had in the city. The host and hostess actually yelled at someone at my table from the front door! Unprofessional. Uncomfortable. Mediocre food on top of it.

Worst Food I've had in Manhattan
by tynn
We just finished what was without question one of the worst meals ever. The burgers and fries were dried out and tasteless, most particluarly for the price $10 each! crazy!

Huge Burgers, Great Soups
by shortstackian
Cozy's Soup & Burger is the one and only buger joint I hit up when I go to New York. The burgers even beat out L.A. burgers. The soups are great, my favorite is the slit pea soup. If I could have them delivered to California I would do it in a snap.
Pros: Great food, Inexpensive

Best Big Burgers and Breakfast!!!!
by jennykinscy
I love Cozy Soup & Burger. They rock. The service is always great. They are open 24 hours a day, and best of all-- you can get breakfast ANY time of the day.
Get there soon for one of their monster burgers, and definitely bring a buddy and your appetite.

Cool Hang Out
by RozBlue
The burgers and the best and the biggest of them all. It's a good clean place, good prices, great food, nice staff. The atmosphere is great. It's located near NYU, so there's always a young group. It's lively, but not loud. Great at any hour of the day.
Pros: Open 24/7, Great Food, Great Atmosphere

Best Burger in Town
by lips_of_beauty
The best burger can be had here at 4am. 9 oz. of juicy and succulent beef can satisfy and heal those cravings for something familiar and comfortable. The generous portion of beef with a cup of clam chowder is enough to hold you over while you stroll around east village and Washington Square Park.

Best Late Night Food
by Nycangeleyes
I've always had pleasant experiences at Cozy, from huge salads to big, juicy burgers, or late night coffee and delicious pie, this place is awesome. The staff is very nice and helpful too. Great after a night of barhopping.
Pros: Inexpensive, In the Village

Fabulous Burgers
by cafzali
The burgers here are the best I've had in the city -- bar none. There is a wide variety of burger choices and all are well-prepared and predictably tasty.
The service sometimes seems a little hurried, but that's a small price to pay for burgers this good.
