Zero would be a better rating. Has to be the worst service department ever. Bad attitude and don't think they could fix anything won't even call you back. Richmond location is just as bad. I have a $200,000 Tiffin Phaton I bought new from them. Have to go back to factory in Alabama if you want anything fixed. They absolutely Suck.

They don't call it Tom Rape Her for nothing! They knew my vehicle would 't pull the trailer when they sold it to me. I didn't! tried to return it the next day. Tough luck on my part. Now I have a trailer I hate and can't use. But they are getting their money. That is all they care about!

A number of years ago I took a Class A down to their original location in Indiana to be sold on consignment. They cheated me out of three thousand dollars over and above the agreed upon sale commission. Later I found they had also cheated the buyer and lied to them as well. Tom Rapist is a crooked operation from the word "go" and I would never buy a hex nut from them and have always told friends to steer clear of these pirates.

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE!

Purchased a new keystone Residence. Before even taking it to its first camp ground, the Converter went out. It took 3 months for Tom Raper to help get it replaced. On the first week at a camp ground, the furnace went out, the microwave stopped working, and I found several screws loose in the siding. Tom Raper was NOT return any of the messages I left, and went contact was finally made, they refused to offer assistance in getting things repaired. Their services policies are way below par, and the attitudes of the service managers are on the same level.

I guess you get what you pay for. Both Tom Raper and Couche's Campers sell Forest River products at reasonable prices but any service that is required stinks. I too had a tire problem and called Forest River. The Forest River representative told me that they used cheap tires and that it was my problem. They also gave me a phone number for Carlisle tires and told me that I should contact them myself and see if I could get a refund from them. I did call but I didn't get any kind of response. I'm disappointed that Forest River admits they use cheap tires and that they are not willing to help when you do have a problem.

We bought a Pop Up in 2003 from Tom Raper and on one of our trips (2006) blew a tire, No big deal right. Could not find a tire to fit (st145r12ldE) any where form Ohio to Arizona. Called Tom Raper and Forest River and they gave no help. When got home we have tried to find tires went to Tom Raper and no answer. Can find a load range D but know one in area carries them so will have to special order. What the heck check before buying make sure you can get tire replacements easy.

I called to order a Jack for my camper. After getting lack luster help I decided to purchase it. I then asked them if I could purchase this over phone with Visa. They try not to do that, do to getting in trouble in the past. I completely understood that. The parts attendant then started rushing me off the phone, like I wasn't a serious customer.

I called another RV Dealer (Colerain RV). They had same part and were ok with me paying over phone, as long as my wife called with her Visa. I gave her Tom Raper's number on accident and she called them. They immediately attacked her (same guy) saying they told her husband they won't take Visa over phone and she had the wrong number. He also mentioned he won't get burnt again by this and that he didn't understand why she called back. She called me back very upset and embarrassed. She doesn't get flustered easy, so I believe he acted as ignorant as she said.

I have no problem with the visa policy. It's a good one. The way they spoke with us and handled it was ridiculous! To think we are buying a new camper next year and Tom Raper will not get our business or the hundreds of others I know and will speak with.

Tom Raper RV's is a fairly recognizable name when it comes to shopping for campers, however, it would be nice if they had decent hours for people to come and browse. They close too early for those who work and their weekend hours aren't extended either. Their selection is ho-hum, and they are pretty overpriced. Sales staff is friendly though.
