I have been a customer at the Loveland location of April Florist on and off for the past couple of years. For the first time I decided to use them to deliver flowers for my mothers birthday. I made an internet purchase of almost $60.00 dollars and scheduled it to be delivered to her at work two days later-on her birthday. I got a voice message from my mom the day BEFORE her birthday to thank me for the flowers. I immediately called April Florist to find out what went wrong. The lady at the Loveland location (Laurel?) said there must have been an error in reading the order. I vented my frustration and how I wanted to surprise my mother ON her birthday. The lady said, What do you want me to do about it? I said, I dont know, this is very upsetting. Then she said (and I promise I am not making this up) We can go back and pick up the flowers and re-deliver them tomorrow. Do you know that stunned reaction you get and dont know what to say because you are in a state of shock? Did I really just hear that? When I said, That is the most ridiculous thing Ive ever heard. She said, Well, just call your mom and tell her we made a mistake. I was even told (again, no lie) I could see this as a big deal if it was Mothers Day or Valentines Day. I told her it was a big deal to me! She offered to call my mom.

After gathering my thoughts, I tried the downtown location to find a reasonable person. No such luck. I told the manager, Jen, about my experience with the Loveland store. Then she said, Maybe we could send her something really small with an apology on her birthday. I promise Ill call you back or the lady you spoke to at the Loveland store will call you. Really?! Sure, thats who I want to talk to again. In any event, no phone call ever came and no really small gift was delivered.

The website states 100% satisfactions guaranteed. I asked them Exactly what does that mean to you, because Im at about .00%

Dont just take my word for it. There are plenty of 1 star reviews for April Florist out there on the internet. Google April Florist & Gifts Reviews. They really need to learn from a florist such as Adrian Durban. I love them and they have always gone above and beyond to resolve any issue Ive had. Id like to publically apologize to Adrian Durban for not using them this time. Ive learned my lesson.

We returned the 2nd batch, and asked for our money back. They wouldnt do it, and were so rude and mean. The lady offered to give us 3 carnations, and told us thats all she can do. I spoke to the owner, who was nothing but a snotty jerk, and told me he gets his flowers from the same distributer as Kroger, so I asked why does Kroger get better stock than an actual florist? He refused to do anything and after much begging we finally have a decent bouquet. Take your business elsewhere save yourself the embarrassment of having dead flowers delivered, and the hassle of dealing with a Jerk who knows NOTHING about how to treat customers NICELY!

My mother-in-law sent via FTD an arrangement that was listed for $45. The picture shows 5 gerber daisies, hydrangeas, green pomps and some greenery in a really cute container. What showed up at my door was a cute container with 3 gerber daisies, a lot of "filler" flowers and some leather leaf greenery. When I called the flower shop I was told what was shown on the FTD sight was an $85 arrangement and that it was FTD's problem that they are showing something that is not really available. The lady I spoke with at FTD said the shop should provide you with what is pictured in the ad, apparently this shop has other ideas.
