Come on...they're the BEST, not too much of anything, just right. After crossing the country mant times, no other hot dog comes close. And the fries remind me of Idora Park's. m-m-m. My Dad can't ride by without stopping. Real nice people too. Glad I live close.

I have eaten hot dogs all over USA. These are by far the best. Awesome with chili, mustard and onions. The gyroys are awesome too. If you havent had a jays you are missing out.

When I moved from Youngstown due to a job change, I was leaving my 34 years of small town traditions and relocating to the big city of Cleveland. Over my years away, I have come to greatly miss 3 things from this area; Rulli Brothers, The Elmton, and Jay's Hot Dogs. Jay's reminds me of a simpler time. I dive, for sure, but one I identify with and have introduced my children to as one of daddy's favorite places on earth. The stories of Jay's and the owner lining up hot dogs on his arm to dress them up with chili, cheese and onions are true. It just made the place a "funner" place to go. The smell of the chili as you walk from your car in the parking lot to the little lobby of the building starts your tastebuds to glow.Once inside, the total Jay's experience is to see the staff work on your dogs (or gyro), sweep up the fry tray to dish out your crispy but expertly greasy fries, and then the filling of your beverage in the old style styrofoam container. I open my bag of already seeping with grease fun to add enough salt to choke a horse, wisk myself to my car and make the long drive home; with my knees steering me away while my left hand works on a dog and my right hand pulling out of the bag a complementary amount of fries. There are few things better and even fewer things that bring me home again like Jay's.Sure, I know there may be "one of two" better things I should be having for my drive home ( a coppacola and provolone cheese sandwich from Rulli's or a double-cheese and pepperoni well done pizza from the Elmton) but if asked what I wanted for my last meal on earth...bring on the Jay's, hold the mustard, add the cheese and I'll take a gyro with cheese, chili and diced onions in addition to my dogs and fries. It does not get any better.

Ratings_icons Great Hot Dogs!

Who doesn't love a great hot dog? At Jay's you are guaranteed a truly great eating experience if you love hot dogs. The varieties of dogs available are wonderful and the "cheesy" look to the place adds to its appeal. With all the fast food in the area, sometimes it's just not a meal unless it includes a Jay's Famous Hot Dog.
