I bought my first gun here about 10 years ago and customer service has gone from poor to excellent. No waiting for help, very knowledgeable and friendly! Thanks Dave

Not having been to target world in years, I decided to revisit. The last time I had been in they had only one counter thats how long its been. This visit I needed small and large rifle primers. I called ahead and they confirmed they had them.
I did see well stocked shelves and what I consider to be decent prices. I was glad they had what I needed as others in the area did not. The wait time was minimal.
There will definitely not be such a long time in between my next visit to target world.

Go anywhere else to purchase guns or anything gun related. not competitive or honest. Quite a few jerks on the staff. Recently, I was looking to purchase a Liberty safe. I tried to connect with Trevor for a week but only spoke through voice mail. I was purchasing this for my husband on his birthday. When we went to look at them in person, we were lied to (not by Trevor) multiple times. Lie #1- the black chrome hardware costs $300 more on a Liberty Safe. Lie #2- the digital combination lock costs more than the manual one. Lie #3- this safe isn't a second it was just damaged in transit. Lie #4- shipping is free. The safe had a tag which arrived on it and stated what was wrong with the safe from the factory. Target World knowingly buys factory defective safes. The price on this Liberty Lincoln 35 was $3000 with steel gouges and paint defects. The explanation was that it had the black chrome and digital combination which made it worth more. I got the exact same safe with black chrome hardware for $2700 at Gander Mountain. Reason why I didn't order one from Target World? I called and asked for Trevor and the hours he said he would be working were incorrect. I spoke with the largest "business killer" employee at the place. I told him what I was looking to order. He mentioned that they have a safe like I want for $3000. I told him I was not willing to get a damaged safe for $3000 when I can get a new one from Gander Mtn for $2700. He asked if I could hold...came back on and told me that Trevor would be back in tomorrow. I told him I needed to order it today as it is my husband's birthday. He told me to "order it from Gander Mountain then!" Target World runs a shady practice when it comes to their safes. Don't fall for the free shipping. I am getting the safe and delivery cheaper than a defective safe with the exact same features. Go anywhere else! You will be treated better, not lied to, get a competitive price, and an overall better buying experience.

I love this place! They have the best gun selection BY FAR and their prices are competitive against anything I have found locally. I have always had great experiences with their staff, as have my family and friends. I shoot at the range about twice a month, have bought a safe from them and attended their concealed carry training. I even bought my wife a purse with a special compartment for concealed carry. They can get busy at times which can be frustrating, but they give you full attention when you get served.

I walked into target world recently and spent a few mins wondering around then waited at the counter for help. I was within 5 mins helped by Ryan R. He just finished with another customer and promptly started helping me. I had already done some research online as to what I wanted, and was pretty set, but had a few questions about a different gun I was interested in. He told me everything I wanted to know and made me feel secure about what I wanted by recommending the exact gun I had settled on for my needs. He set me up with a Glock 23 which seemed like the perfect fit for me. Definitely a customer now as the experience was top notch. I no sooner was talking to Ryan than I had guns in my hands and was able to get a real feel for them. Will definitely be buying here again because of him.

I have a son who is a student of Jim (the archery instructor at Target world). We love taking lessons at Target world and Jim does a fantastic job. The tournament was a wonderful experience and very helpful to the kids (especially the new ones) so that they have an experience in the tournament arena. The first time competing can be extremely scary for a new archer. Not knowing what to expect, what to do, even how to score properly ?? especially if your arrow goes through the target!!

This was a wonderful experience that taught a lot to everyone. Jim did a great job hosting the event and being an advocate of safety. So important!!

Thanks for supporting this first tournament and we hope there will be many more in the future to continue to build the confidences and successes of the students.

After receiving great advice from Jeff, I stopped by the store yesterday and Shane helped me. I was so equally impressed with Shane and his willingness to help me that I chose to go ahead and make the purchase. Target World pricing is very fair and it was worth my while to come there.

I just wanted to write this review and say that the service I received today from Dave M. at Target World, was very pleasant. I brought in my two children and he was accommodating, proactive, and patient with them while showing various hand guns and rifles.

I created an account specifically to post this review. I dropped a rifle off there to have some gunsmithing done as it had been having case-head seperations.\n\nAny good gunsmith should be able to take a couple quick measurements and tell you right away if this is a headspacing issue, but I was told that he wasn't in that day. I figured no big deal, and left the rifle, and instructions to call once it was diagnosed so I could determine if it was worth fixing.\n\nA week later, I hadn't heard anything, so I called and was told it would be about 2 months before it was even looked at. This is a ridiculous amount of time to get a diagnosis, but I wasn't in a hurry so I said fine. I called 3 months after that, and no one had a clue where the rifle was.\n\nApparently the gunsmith takes the rifles home, which I might have been okay with, but no one ever mentioned this to me. Finally, two weeks later, I get a hold of the shop, and the smith at least had my rifle, but he's already ordered a bunch of parts for it without ever even speaking to me, and wouldn't even take the time to speak with me personally on the phone so i could find out what was going on.\n\nI was a day away from reporting that rifle stolen because no one knew where it went. Now that I know he has it, I still don't know its condition, or what it's going to cost to have the work done. It's not an expensive rifle, so there's no way I'm footing a huge bill on it.\n\nThis place is terrible. You're ignored almost all the time. The staff doesn't have a clue what's going on, and they don't care to help you. They don't follow instructions left by customers, their turnaround is ridiculous, and who even knows if the work will be good.\n\nOnce I have that rifle back, I will never set foot in this store again.

I normally do not write reviews but feel like I have to in this case because I don't understand the negative reviews Target World received. I almost didn't go there because of many bad reviews I saw on this site but I'm glad I did.\r\nI'm pretty much a novice. I own a revolver and was looking for my first 9mm. I went there looking for a couple of specific handguns. I did a lot of research but still had a lot of questions about them. Jeremy gave me great service, advice and treat me with respect. I even told him I'm not sure if I'm ready to make a purchase but he still gave me all the time I need. \r\nI wasn't sure what I want so I went to watch people shooting at the range. About 15 minutes later I went back to look at the same gun and the other gentleman helped me out. I got the same good service from him as I got from Jeremy but I still wasn't sure. Also, I noticed a lady next to me was buying her first gun and was treated the same way. I also went to the range and asked many questions about membership etc. and received good service again. They were busy at the time so I let the guy deal with his customers between my questions so I didn't hold up the line. I was treated very well by 3 different employees that day. I just don't understand the comments about bad service.

COMPLETELY UNSATISFACTORY BUSINESS

Basically, according to the target world staff, because i've never served in the military i dont have the right to be in their shop or enjoy my 2nd amendment rights. Yes, that really is what happened. That is what one of target worlds staff said to me.

"Target World is Cincinnati's premier public" Rude Arrogant Unprofessional Business that will treat you and every other customer like dirt. I honestly, truly, sincerely hope that this sorry excuse for a business goes out of business like tomorrow.

A sales person was trying to sell me a very expensive $1700 1911 handgun. I know quite a bit about these and know the specs and features he was spitting out were way off and wrong. So I politely let him know that he was incorrect, with a honestly rude and arrogant attitute,he basically told me to shut up. So I pulled up the manufactures website on my phone and showed him that he was wrong. But he still denyied it. So apparently me and the PERSON WHO DESIGNED IT AND MAKES IT are wrong. \nLike i'm gonna trust some target world tactical wanna be, That place is a joke and are a bunch of liars!

Honestly pathetic. \n\nTo put it simply: insanely rude staff, arrogant staff, very dirty range, very unsafe range, way over priced products and a generally unwelcome atmosphere.\nAs far as gun shops go, there are other options....i suggest you use them.

After buying one handgun from these guys and visiting a number of times attempting to use the range I've found almost all the staff to be arrogant, obnoxious, unhelpful, and for the most part uninformed.\n\nFind another place to buy, shoot, learn, and enjoy. It can't be done here. If there was more competition locally these guys would be out of business!!!

I was there 2 days ago and was quite upset with the staff. I was going to buy a handgun there until the employee who was helping me decided to embarress me infront of his co-workers because I didnt know the difference between two types of ammo. Well excuse me for wanting to learn. \n\nLearned my lesson, will do business with another shop.

I've tried.

Was a member for three years but didn't renew in late 2011.

Range is dangerous and management doesn't care. They do not enforce their own rules. I saw more muzzles in three years at Target World than I saw in 40+ years of shooting.

Bought a safe there and regret it. Salesman said I'd get a call from delivery guy within a week to arrange delivery. 3 weeks later I stopped in for status. Was told to call delivery guy.

I shop at One Shot in Newtown now, and shoot at Shooter's in KY.

I entered the store on a very busy day. I was quickly aknowledged and they were working with the other customers quite professionally while I was waiting. Once I was waited on, the gentleman was very patient with me, as I was someone who was 1st time customer. While I found a product I was quite happy with, due to my own time restrictions I wasn't able to complete the purchase. Once I got home and did some price comparisons I was able to find a better price at competitor, but I appreciated the attendant patience and knowledge.

Very rude staff, horrible managment and rip off prices. I love shooting weapons, its a great hobby, I just cant stand the type (most) of people it attracts. This place has horrible customer service and the staff misrepresent and lie about some of their products. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!

I have made numerous purchases from Target World over the last several years, and each time I have had to practically beg to be waited on. I could be more tolerant if they were busy but this is usually not the case. A simple acknowledgement would go a long way, but sometimes I wonder if I'm invisible. Their prices are strictly MSRP and I have gotten little if any help with warranty issues. I like their selection, location and the on sight target range, but my patience has grown very thin. More than likely I will be exploring other local stores.

Employees are incompetent. I dropped my compound bow off to have the string replaced, silencers installed, peep sight installed and both cams removed cleaned and oiled. They also offer all kinds of extra stuff on their website, but when I got there the employee said that most of what they offer on the website, they can't do. I was told it would take a week or two to get my bow done. After 2 weeks I was called and told my bow was done. When I went to pick it up, nothing had been done. They said they must have called the wrong number. After another 3 weeks I went to pick my bow up. All they had done was replaced the string. I asked why nothing else had been done, why they had taken so long and why I hadn't been called. The reply was ""well here is your bow."" From the pathetic service I received I am afraid to shoot my bow because I have no idea what they may or may not have done to it and where the string came from. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ARCHERY EQUIPMENT HERE!!!!

I have been going (off and on) to Target world over the past several years. I just recently started going back, thinking that maybe it had changed...Well it has. It somehow managed to get worse than before. I nearly ripped my card in half yesterday...Seriously, I REALLY just wanted to throw it at the guy behind the rental counter...You all know who have been there the guy of whom I'm speaking. The pompous ASS with the cool mustache. I walk in with my card in hand, and asked for a half hour (one person on the range, and no one in line besides me mind you) Mr stache was bs'ing with his buddy when I walked up...he asked if I needed any target's, I said no, but thanks for reminding me, I forgot them in the car....Mr stache, "well, then I'll tell you which lane your on and ring you up after you go to your car and get what you need to shoot"...ok, I come back...Mr stache..."Just need time". "just need time''. "just need time" Me...What? "SO YOU JUST NEED TIME, NO TARGETS?!?!?!" Uhhhh yeah, I just got my targets out of the car...Then he rolled his eye's at me...Seriously??? I went in and shot 30 rounds though a brand new Glock29. The kid next to me was new to gun's and needed help, so I helped him, and left. My Father (Ex Vietnam Green Beret) asked me yesterday if I thought he'd like TW? I told him hell no Dad, You deserve better than to be treated like a common idiot...I wouldn't send my worst enemy there, And I will not go back...Well, maybe one more time so I can actually rip up my card this time and hand it to this jerk Mr stache.

Worst customer service I ever seen. I was in line waiting for a lane when the clerk at the front desk asked the gentleman behind me if he could help him. Even though I was clearly next in line the clerk continued to help this man behind me and acted like I was invisible. So I walked out the door and will take my money elsewhere. \r\nThis place is NOT RECOMMENDED FOR AFRICAN-AMERICANS.

People bash this establishment but they have been great to me. People expect fast customer service but when there are 30 customers and 5 staff members then it becomes hard to be waited on. People are too impatient. Also, it takes about 35-40 minutes to deal with a gun sale. Can't expect prompt service in a store that does as much volume as them. Their prices are high but you get a free hour of range time there with any firearm purchase. These people know their stuff and if they don't they are not ashamed to ask someone that might. The range is cleaned nightly and is kept up to speed. It has problems but it is because people want to sneak in their ak's and Ar's that shoot high velocity rounds. Also it is kind of hard to select the people using the range and act like morons. People are going to act like idiots around guns at any range. Target world is a popular range and gets more volume so therefore more idiots. Pretty simple concept.

January 26, 2010.\r\nQuick and to the point here. They will try to trip you off badly if you want to sell them anything firearm related. They wanted to give me $300.00 for my new/used handun, when they had the exact same used handgun on their shelf for $655.00! Doesent exactly sound like a fair deal huh?\r\nAlso, their night manager who works on Wednesdays is VERY rude and unprofessional. He will lie and misrepresent various firearms, as well as blatently call a customer a lier. \r\nLastly, it's not just the night manager (although mostly), but the majority of the staff that work there are rude and unpleasent to deal with. They lost business forever with myself and several other avid firearm personel that I deal with. Trust me, there are better dealsers out there. AMAZING HOW THEY TREAT THERE VETERANS. (badly)

I had been pricing PSE bows for a while and was just sick about the prices I had been seeing at the big stores ""Dicks, BassPro"" and the best price I had found had all the ""junk"" sights, rests, ect. Well my wife suggested one day we should stop in at Target World since she wanted to practice with her crossbow anyway. So we did. And there was the bow i had been wanting and it was cheaper than everywhere else and they weren't calling it a ""big sale"" either! it still had the gear i wasn't wanting on there but the price was right. After explaining to the gentleman my disapointment in the gear on the bow he allowed my to pick the gear I wanted for just a little price difference. And getting the bow and everything I wanted it was $46.00 cheaper than Bass Pro. Even though it was close to closing time the gentleman set the bow up for me and it was ready too go in the woods even though I told the man I could come back since it was that late. And to top the experience off while dealing with me and my purchase something was wrong with my wife's crossbow, the two archery guys looked it over and fixed it. They tightend down a couple bolts and applied rail lube and got her all fixed up for no cost at all!---thanks again--- Like I said before it was a very pleasant experience and when my son is ready for his next bow I know right where I'm going, Brian

In the words of Obi Wan Kenobi, "" You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.""\nThe first totally unforgivable instance of safety failure happened when a shooter next to me had a jam in his handgun. He kept squeezing the trigger to no avail, and finally turned around and walked back to the counter WITH the gun loaded and a misfire still in the chamber. He was pointing it every which way BUT downrange, and as he walked back to the stall, he racked the slide with his finger too near the trigger. The movement of the gun upwards when he racked it while walking made his finger hit the trigger, and the gun fired a round not 2 feet over where my head would have been had I not been aware of him enough to run away behind him while he was being a complete moron. I quickly yelled at him while gathering my hear, went out to tell the ""Range Master"" (who is the biggest butthole you will ever meet) who, while laughing, asked me to show him the hole. I returned inside the range and showed him, and he looked at me and said, ""That could be from anyone,"" and walked out. I collected my gear, and shredded my range card and dropped it on the counter as I left. Another time I was standing looking at the selection of handguns (all of which are overpriced by at least 20%), and a gentleman in line approached and said he had done his homework and was ready to buy a S&W M&P in .45. He seemed very excited about his potential purchase, and asked about taking the weapon apart. The employee had no idea how to do it, and eventually told him it comes with a tool in the box to do it (the tool is in the grip, and you don't even need it, it can be taken apart like a glock). The employee asked if he wanted to start the paperwork and the customer still said yes, and he went to fetch the paperwork. I just had to interject, and told him he was overpaying by at least $150, I had just seen M&P .45s selling a few miles down the road at a competitors shop for $519, I bought one of them TW was asking $679. He asked about the shop and hadn't heard of it, and I quickly informed him of it's location, the kind very knowledgeable employees, and the far superior prices. He quickly waved bye to the employee and walked out of the store behind me. \nWhen ammo became scarce after the Obama election, target world had XM193 5.56 amm for sale in bulk. 1,000 round boxes for $529.99. I drove 10 minutes out of my way and found THE EXACT SAME BOX for sale for $299.99, and I bought 2. \nI could type forever about Target World, I've had some pretty legendary experiences there over the years. I would give this 0 stars if I could but I can't. Their prices are astronomical, they are the dumbest most rude people you will ever meet, and their range is totally falling apart and worthless. Go ANYWHERE else.

The range is the same as most indoor firing ranges. Maybe I am always just there at a good time, but it did not seem dangerous or unpleasant at all to me. In fact, I think I shot better because the lighting is definitely brighter than other area ranges. However, the other shooters and I obeyed all of the rules, so I did not see how the staff would react to resolve a potentially dangerous situation. \n\nWhen I was browsing around the gun counter, I talked with three different clerks. One was not very helpful, but he was able to refer me to a very friendly and helpful older gentleman who was able to answer my questions well. We were having a nice conversation when a younger guy, who talked as if he were in charge, butted in and started showing off his knowledge of obscure gun trivia and ability to rapidly disassemble and reassemble the old rifle we were looking at. I can see how some people could be turned off by his personality, but I think he was genuinely trying to be helpful, but was a little awkward about it. Overall, the prices on handguns are about $15-20 more expensive than my usual gun shop, which has some of the best prices in Ohio. I guess they feel that the slight extra cost is compensated by the convenience of a shooting range, a location right off the highway, and extended business hours.\n\nOverall, the place doesn't have the charm of a neighborhood gun shop, it doesn't have the cheapest ammo in town, and the staff is a bit hit or miss, but I do not understand the abject hate that some of the other reviewers have for the place. It does a lot of things decently, as opposed to a single thing very well. \n

Pros: Good range, good selection, decent prices

Cons: ammo and some handguns overpriced

.

To start with, it's true that they have a large selection of firearms. They always have. Part of the reason is that they can rarely make a sale; they drive people away with their AWFUL attitudes and ridiculous mark-ups, charging at least 5% more than anyone else around them.\r\n\r\nThe employees are rude, with one exception, an old, grey haired gentleman with a tattoo on his left arm. The rest of them are rude beyond belief. They WILL belittle you for choosing a firearm they don't approve of (although they're probably only doing that because they can't afford the firearms they sell). They WILL mock any firearm you bring in (once again, probably because they can't afford it). They WILL LIE TO YOU ABOUT THE FIREARMS THEY SELL IN ORDER TO MAKE A SALE. They WILL overprice their ammo, to the point where it is 150% the cost of ammo ANYWHERE ELSE. It will take you 15 to 20 minutes to get some service.\r\n\r\nThen we come to the general safety of the store. It's not a safe place. I've been in there more than once and seen one of the morons behind the counter begin to twirl their loaded pistol around on their finger. These 'pros' act like children around the firearms, rarely checking that they're unloaded before handing them to customers. They don't monitor the range in any way, which is apparent in the holes that can be found in the range's wall. They also don't care if the range is properly ventilated or not, and as a result, the store is covered in lead dust, which, by the way, is TOXIC.\r\n\r\nThe employees themselves are just angry people. It's as if they were hired right after getting out of a mental hospital for the violently insane. I wouldn't trust these people with a butter knife, but someone's put them in charge of selling FIREARMS, and it boggles my mind. They all act like they're ex-SF types, but most of them are Army and Marine wannabes or rejects who couldn't make it through bootcamp (yes, that's pathetic). They know next to nothing about firearms, and spout the same nonsense you can hear from people whose only exposure to firearms comes from video games or movies.\r\n\r\nDON'T SHOP HERE. DON'T SHOOT HERE. AND DON'T TAKE THEIR ADVICE.\r\n\r\nPlease, for your own sake, shop elsewhere for your firearm needs.

Pros: large selection...

Cons: that's marked up 5% MINIMUM, Employees, LEAD

I know for a fact that the staff makes about 12 bucks an hour with no other benefits. No health care, nothing. I don't think they care though because they are all a bunch of reptiles that have nothing to loose in life. They are bitter because they are physically and mentally inferior from the average customer, and so they take their hatred out on the people who can actually afford their high prices. I suspect that they all fancy themselves gun pros, but when it comes down to it all they can afford on their 12 an hour paycheck are the guns they shun and mock. If they weren't so fat and stupid they might have been able to join the Marines and actually know what it's like to use a gun in the self defense/combat scenarios they love describing when trying to justify their high prices to the unsuspecting customer. I've bought several guns from them, and if they weren't so close to my house I would shop elsewhere. They aren't anything special. I've been to the new shooting range/store in Independence KY and it was a breath of fresh air, literally. I think they filter out the lead dust more thoroughly at the new range in Kentucky. I won't be going to target world anymore. F**k target world.

I've been to Target World several times now, and I can verify many of the statements from other reviews. \r\n\r\nThe service at the rental counter has been mixed. As stated before, the ""regular"" clerk at the rental counter has a personality that's a fitting advertisement for a prophylactic. Very rude, short, and unhelpful. But , based on some of the foolish customers that walk through the door, I can understand why his personality can be so sour. \r\n\r\nHowever, another clerk that was working the counter a different week was the complete opposite. Friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure talking shop with him about shotguns vs. the ""Oh my God you have one of those terrible guns"" attitude of the other clerk.\r\n\r\nAlso, if you plan on renting one of their guns, you MUST use their ammo...which is considerably marked up. \r\n\r\nAs others have stated, you need to be on you toes in the firing range. One look at the ceiling can tell you that. \r\n\r\nTarget World offers a wide selection of guns that you would not find in your run of the mill store. But, unless you're looking for a more rare gun, I would not buy from here. Prices are marked up based upon comparable items at other stores ex: Remington 870 express 12 ga. was over $90 more expensive at Target World versus the regular store price at Dick's Sporting goods.\r\n\r\nSome of the clientele of this store make you want to buy a weapon then and there on the spot just so that you can feel safer.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Have been there several times to shoot and set up shipping from Gun Broker. They always seem to be put off if you ask them a question. Not to mention the fact that I asked them if they carried any .35 and the guy had never heard of it! I know it isn't that common anymore but you work at a gun store dude! Plus I paid $24.50 for 1 bow of .40.

I went to Target World today and listened to the guy at the range counter be rude and obnoxious to one customer after another. If this wasn't bad enough he was also giving customers bad information about firearms. I have witnessed this behavior by other employees on different occasions. Apparently the owner thinks customer service is not a high priority. Today is the last time I will visit Target World.

I have visited this range for 20 years. IMHO, the range condition has declined terribly (holes in the ceiling that let sunlight through), and the personnel at the target range counter typically are very slow, rude and don't appear to care about customer service. The range appears to have little or no supervision in regards to patrons inside. \r\nShooter's Supply has much better prices, much more helpful and intelligent staff if you're buying a firearm.\r\nI have been able to buy some reloading components there, but it is my last choice place, due to their exhorbitant prices (primers were at $35/1K last fall when other gun shops were half that cost).

During the run on guns and ammo after the election, they somehow managed to keep their shelves pretty full. When they are out of something, it usually does not take them too long to get the items in and at a fair price.\r\n\r\nI have made a lot of friends there. A good bunch of folks. Very friendly.

I enjoy going to Target World. The staff is very friendly and they know their stuff. They have guns you cannot find at any other place. When you ask them a question they cannot answer, they do not tap dance. They find the answer and let you know right away. They are always very helpful.\r\n\r\nTheir prices are pretty good, especially on the stuff that is hard to find.

I'm sorry I had to give this place even one star. My husband and I went to purchase a gun safe and we were treated like we were a bother to them. They did not show us anything or talk to us about gun safes, simply pointed to where they were and then ignored us. We decided to look for a gun, saw some we wanted to look at out of the case, but NO ONE would help us. One man was at the counter, but ignored us, made a personal phone call and every other word out of his mouth was the ""F"" word. We left immediately.\nNow I find out that a friend purchased a new gun from them two days ago, took it home, and the hammer jammed the first time she attempted to load the gun. She returned the gun and the man at the counter took it apart and said there was nothing wrong with it. He didn't want to exchange it and told her he would take it to the range to see if it worked OK. He then said the gun was fine and she just didn't know anything about guns. When she insisted on returning it, he said the gun was now used since it had been fired and offered her a $50.00 store credit for a BRAND NEW GUN she had never fired! HE was the one who fired it. So she is stuck with a possibly defective gun. UNBELIEVABLE! BEWARE!

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Unethical practices

As said by everyone else... Staff is horrible you could find out more about the guns behind the counter from a monkey at the zoo. Yet being so incredibly stupid they all have arrogant attitudes. Prices on all guns are remarkably overpriced for the aweful service and just market value alone(read as:buy online) I went to a gun shop in North College Hill and for standard 9mm ammo its 17.99 same box target world 25.99. The only redeaming factor is that it has the range... which is quite small anyways in my opinion(i use a carbine and can group with target all the way down range easily, so for me its almost boring). I will look for a better range in kentucky and will buy ammo and guns elsewhere, dont put yourself through this horrible experience just because your anxious to start plinking at targets. But for some entertainment to see baboons doing human jobs, by all means, target world is your shop!

Target World, at one point and time it was one of the Best places to shop for guns and to have safe fun shooting. Its not so safe anymore. \r\nAs said below Target World has now became the Walmart of Gun Shops. What a shame that the original owners did not stick with the business. Target World doesn't care if the customer leaves happy or not.\r\n\r\nIf you have ever been there than you know what i am talking about, the Grumpy Guy at the rental counter with the mustache that has no personality and always acts like its so hard to do anything at all. He once made a comment to me as ""oh god not another shotgun to listen to, your not gonna shoot that thing are you?""\r\n\r\nBottom line is, Target World is Not Helpful at all and is VERY Unsafe.. They give you False information and Discourage many good firearms.\r\n\r\nPrices are higher than anyone elses around. When your there next time notice how they don't watch anyone who shoots in the range. Not at all its open game once you go through those doors., there is no one there making sure everyone is safe out on the range. Notice the ceiling and the walls if you do dare to go or have been.\r\n\r\nFinally, if you do happen to go there (hopefully to just look at guns and not support there unsafe habits) Ask about the Gun that one of there employees fired when he was taking it Out of the RENTAL CASE then ask yourself,\r\n\r\n\r\n""Is this really the place i should take my family or friends too""\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nFor Real help and friendly service Try the two places below.\r\n\r\nType the Names of these Shops into Google for the Address and Contact information!\r\n\r\nShooters Supply in Loveland \r\n(No Range)\r\n\r\n\r\nShooters in Independence Kentucky \r\n(Range and Sales)\r\n

This Sun, I went to Target World to shoot for and hour. I was in line at 1005 am. ( they open at 10 ) I was about 15 people back. After waiting patiently in line , I got to counter and was told to stand aside since I had lost my liability card. Well, another 15 t 20 people went thru and then the rude guy at the counter said us unfortunate people that did not have their cards could now come up to the counter. Well anyway, got a new card and was able to shoot an hour and half later. People were put in front of us waiting. The guy at the counter stopped what he was doing to find out how to load a computer program to his home pc. And would stop to bs with other store employees. I have been around firearms my entire life and it is people like Target World employees that give the shooting sports a bad name. End result, I will not go back.

Target World is only around because they have an indoor range. The staff is pretentious and as the fellow stated in an earlier post, they act like they are doing you a favor. And that is when you can get them to actually SERVE the customers. They are usually distracted with BS-ing with their buddies or messing with their own concealed weapons. I have also heard some things come out of their mouths that I couldn't believe a person knowlegdeable about firearms would say, such as ""Beretta? you know that's FRENCH for S***, right?"" (Beretta is Italian...) And, ""Colt's quality is lacking and they are really hyped up. I wouldn't own a Colt if you paid me!"" At that point I usually just smile and walk away. The only redeeming quality is the indoor range, which is not that great. There are bullet holes in the ceiling and walls, and most of the time, at least one lane is shut down because it is broken. I went there once and there were 4 lanes broken (they only have 10 or so). And the prices are about 5-10% higher than other places. There are some rare guns available to check out. So if you see something you like in a magazine or online, go there check it out... then go order it at another shop.

I like to shoot. I don?t like to feel like I need a vest at the range. If you do go to this range, please, just look at the ceilings and walls. Make your own opinions. My few experiences there have been?.interesting. I was in the market for a .45 at the time and managed to get a hold of (after waiting at least 10 mins for him to stop chatting with his buddies) the only salesman behind the counter who wasn?t an angry Army washout. After getting the .45 out of the case labeled ?.40?, he proceeded to tell me how he worked at the nearby Blackwater facility (in IL??) and why he preferred the 9mm. He then presented his personal 9mm Glock which had been stored (bare) in his front pocket. If you want to take advice from this guy and pay 5% more than you would elsewhere, please, by all means....

Target World is clean, safe (for the most part) and has a wide selection of firearms that you will not normally find in most gun shops. The prices are high and are not warranted considering the quality of the customer service. Target World's staff (for the exception of a few individuals) is condescending, occasionally incompetent, and treats you like they're doing YOU a favor by showing you a firearm. \n\nThe customers that usually frequent Target World are varied but all share the common trait of stupidity or ignorance. You will hear some very ignorant and occasionally dangerous things at TW. Such things will normally be heard from the customer base or staff. The customer base is attracted because they saw something new in a gun magazine or they see the sign on the highway. They usually are not intelligent firearm owners because intelligent firearms owners realize Target World's prices are absurd. The range and the dumb people are what keep most intelligent shooters away from Target World.\n\nThis is all very comforting when you consider you're sharing a range with these people and they have the combined intelligence of a small child. If you doubt my claims of ignorant customers at Target World take a gander at the ceiling of the indoor range. It resembles something between swiss cheese and something that belongs in a Liberian war zone. \n\nAll of these factors combine to make Target World the only range you can see and handle hard to find firearms, and shoot a gun indoors in the city of Cincinnati past sundown. These two factors are probably what keep Target World in business.\n\nAlternative businesses are Shooters Indoor Range of Kentucky (15 miles south of Cinci), Vandalia Shooters Range (near Dayton), Shooters Supply Shop near Loveland (not related to KY) and many other business which do not fulfill the ignorant firearm owner stereotype.

Pros: They have many different types of firearms.

Cons: They are the Wal-Mart of gunshops.
