When you're the only dealership in the city that can service MINI's (free for 3yr/36k miles), you can pull the strings on the consumer puppets. I am so frustrated with this dealership.
My parents bought a BMW suv from them a couple years, and they have had nothing but bad things to say about them. They have had the electronic throttle/main computer shut down while driving numerous times- every time BMW refusing to pay for it. The rear passenger windows fell into the socket, and again, BMW simply says "That happens" ($500 per window later).
I looked at MINI's here on their lot, and like the review I read, they lied about their price. The MSRP on the vehicle I was looking at was around $23,800, and after it was all said and done, they forgot to mention they added a $600 alarm system I'd have to pay for. Refusing, I left the dealership without a MINI. Luckily, I found an exceptional dealership with exactly what I wanted (Motor City MINI).
Sadly, since I live in Cinci, I have taken the vehicle in twice for various under warranty "new car" problems. First I brought the car in, and they said it won't take more than an hour. You guessed it: my lunch break turned into a personal day. After 4 hours, the car was ready.
Not only are the weasels trying to sell you cars above MSRP, but they get every penny they can in their service department. This monopoly dealership is no longer getting my car or my consumer praise.
If you want to check out other dealerships, Jake Sweeney BMW of Tri-county, Frank Z imports and VOSS of Dayton for BMW, and there are MINI dealerships in Indianapolis, Columbus, Louisville, Cleveland, Detroit and 3 dealerships in Chicago. It is definitely worth the drive if there is a car you are interested in.
Hope this helps!
I definitely would not recommend this dealer. In April 2009, I talked with a Mini salesperson re purchase of a new Mini. I was shown the specification sheet for a Mini which included the options that I was looking for. The salesperson told me it had been originally priced at more than $35,000. The spec sheet showed a list price of $32,000+, but they were selling it for $27,995 because it was a 2008, had been driven by a dealer & had a few thousand miles on it. I took a test drive in what I was told was the car to which the spec sheet applied. After the test drive, I reviewed the spec sheet again and discussed with the salesperson the options that were included, which were options that I specifically wanted in a car. I agreed to buy the car I had driven, again being told the spec sheet I had in front of me applied to the car I had driven. I was promised a copy of the spec sheet but was not given one. I arranged for financing and took the car home that day. When I got home, I realized that the car I had test driven and had bought was not the car whose spec sheet I had been looking at and did not have the options that I was told were on the car. There was not a specification sheet of any kind in the purchase papers I took home. The next day I spoke to the salesperson about the fact that the car did not have the options it was supposed to have and was not the car I had agreed to purchase. At that point, I was given a different spec sheet than I had looked at the previous day. This was the spec sheet that actually applied to the car I purchased, but one I was never shown till then. It contained far fewer options and a lower list price. Since then I have spoken to the Mini manager, the BMW manager, the finance manager and the dealership manager. They have not listened to my issues & have treated me like I was some kind of crackpot. If you want a Mini in Cincinnati, go somewhere else. I would drive out of town to get one if I could do it over.

The BMW Store is awesome! I went to Jake Sweeney to purchase a car and I guess I was looking like a bumb( baseball cap, flip flops, and sweats), they did not give me the time of day. I finally left after looking around the parking lot for 20 minutes. I went straight to the BMW Store, to my surprise I was greeted as soon as I got out of my car, they answered all of my questions, and offered to take me for a spin. I bought a 750 and a X5 and I would advise anyone to go there. The service can't be beat and they gave me a really good price
Guys...Look, if you have a legitimate complaint then that's cool. If you are whining about Ebay then blame Ebay. I have had 99% Great experiences with the BMW Store in Cincinnati. They actually replaced my rear axle when it failed due to a seal leak that they took responsibility for. I feel as though these guys do the right thing and they are conscientious about my car almost like it is their car. They wash the car and treat it with respect just like their customers. I can't say anything negative about the BMW Store.
TERRIBLE DEALER!! I recently purchased a vehicle through their eBay store. Their
