I'm happy to see that other people have had bad experiences with the staff at Skully's. While it sucks they have shitty staff, I'm glad it wasn't just me they singled out.

I was treated poorly by THREE different bartenders for absolutely

The staff is always nice and helpful, and many are fun to talk with. The food is amazing, especially the Skully Burger with Fries. I've been to a few shows at night the bartenders are always prompt with getting my drinks. The crowd is full of life and I always have a good time!

This place sucks. I went there for the Wiz Khalifa concert last night. When we got there they charged us $30 when on their website it said it was $10 at the door. When we finally got in it was packed all the way to the back door and you couldnt move at all. At the end of the concert there was a fight that one of the bouncers started. Very unprofessional place I will never go back and I wouldnt reccomend it to anyone

Pros: Good music

Cons: Rude staff, Overcrowded, Fights

I went to Skully's for the RJD2 show on Feb 5. I'd been looking forward to going for weeks. My husband and I are both big RJD2 fans and good electronic acts are rare in Columbus. Our daughter was born 10 months ago and I haven't been out much since her birth... and after my experience last night I will NEVER go to Skully's again!
The show was sold out far past capacity (where's the fire marshal when you need him). I was literally fighting to breathe as the immense crowd shoved through the main room, trying to get out the back door. My thoughts raced as I imagined what might happen if I fainted... I could easily be trampled to death (this is no exaggeration). My thoughts were on my daughter. I knew I had to get out of there before something really dangerous happened. My friend attempted to help me exit the crowd as rude party-goers screamed at us.
Finally, I see someone who works at Skully's. When I explain what had just happened he laughed and said, "what do you want me to do about it". Gee, I don't know. I could have just died in your establishment - you could at least ACT like you care about the value of human life!!
Bottom line, don't go to Skully's. You will be supporting the notion that it's perfectly fine to put your customers in harms way as long as you're making a buck!

Pros: good bands/ electronic acts

Cons: Safety, Staff, No top shelf drinks

.

Skully's is one of the best places to see a band. The sound is great, the stage is big, so there are no bad places to stand. The drinks are priced averagely for Columbus; not to high, but not very cheap. One thing to be cautious of is the staff. A few are great bartenders, but for the most part, everyone I know has had a terrible experience with staff there. Incidences include rudeness and overcharging on tabs (adding in drinks that were not ordered, changing the tip amount after the fact). It seems to be a regular thing there, so it's better to pay with cash there, and not expect the friendly bartender that Columbus bars usually have.

If your looking for a relaxed, fun, inexpensive place to hang look no further than skullys. They have great food, excellent bartenders, and 99% drama free (no bar is perfect). Great music all week long, on sundays there's old school rap/r&b, and of course the famous ladies 80's on Thursdays. If you haven't been here come check it out, you will not be disappointed.

this place is kind of a weird mixture of punk, goth, and retro. the food was ok, nothing too great, but the music sort of sucked. the pool tables are fun if you are with your friends but we stayed there for about 30 min and left because the crowd got werid. maybe if i were trashed i would have stuck around.

I was recently at Skully's for a local craft fair they put together with over 30 exhibitors. I also know Skully's as a fun, High Street icon for local bands and delicious food. Be sure to try their hamburger!

I have been here once once to see a show and the place itself is alright--decent stage and sound, but the people that come to Skully's are...interesting. A lot of really dirt and sketchy looking people. I am sure you're pretty safe there and every thing, but there are some dirty, sketchy mothers that go to that bar.

I've only been to Skully's a few times, but it seems like an okay establishment. Food, alcohol, live bands, what else could you possibly need? Perhaps less bums.

Oh, and be sure to check out Magnolia Thunderpussy which is next door.

PROS: Projection screen behind the stage.
CONS: BUMS
