Frame & Save

Professionalism at its best. My wife and I couldn't be happier with the service and quality of work we have received in the more than 10 years we have done business with Frame & Save Hyde Park. From our art collection, to posters, to memorabilia, all has been respectfully handled, priced fairly, and completed when expected. We've seen a lot of other frame shops in our area come and go, so we know they must be doing it right, having been in the same location for more than 30 years.

Professional, contientious work MOST of then time from the staff. However, the owner is one of the most unethical people I have ever worked with in the service industry. I witnessed damage done to a signed piece of work. The frame shop owner notified the original artist who replaced the piece which was then framed to their specifications. The art owner was never notified of this swap. This is unjustifiable in my mind. Cowardice at best; greedy at worst.

I have been going to this shop for the past 10 years and not once have I been disappointed with the service or the quality. The ladies that work there are extremely friendly and helpful. It is always a pleasure to be greeted with smiling faces and the framing never fails to amazing me! I would recommend this place to anyone...

I have purchased all my framing from Frame and Save. I can tell the owner or anyone that works there what my room looks like that I want to hang a picture and they bring me the perfect choices. The work is always done on time and great quality. I would never use another frame store.

I was treated with derision and contempt by the person working in the shop. I simply requested a mat to be cut to fit a ""low class"" frame from Michael's to showcase a postcard with sentimental value I have owned for fifteen years. She hacked it up---you can see the razor blade cuts at the corners and the inside border is jagged. Unfortunately, I can return this only for store credit: I would not trust them to handle anything of mine, nor would I want to repeat such an encounter.\r

I suppose that woman breathes rarified Hyde Park air while she snubs her nose down on a less-than-perfectly-designy person like me. \r

It's the constipated, snobbish attitude prevalent in a lot of Hyde Park shops, but thankfully, not all. They give everyone a bad name.

Cons: Stuck-up snob proprietress who does shoddy work.
