I have such fond memories of this toy store, I will hold them in my heart forever, My Dad took me every year on my bithday for as long as i can remember!!
I now have children of my own and do the majority of my shopping there!! I have nothing but GREAT things to say about the family! They are always so helpful, and its so nice to know that i can get everything i need there!! I am so happy when i leave the store because I always find the PERFECT GIFT!!!
I have class with the owner's daughter. She brought something in from the store that caught my eye. After talking to her for quite sometime about her parents store, my Husband and I decided to stop on our way through to Pittsburgh.
I thought for sure she was exaggerating because it was her parents, but, boy was I wrong. This place simply just WOW'd us. It is by far the largest toy store ever, 3 Floors of wall to wall toys. The staff really knows what they are talking about, and want to do whatever they can to make it a fun shopping experience. We were there when they were displaying their 2010 Games, "Game Day" and just thought it was great they do things like this. You can't find anything in Pittsburgh or the Columbus Metro area that even comes close to their store.
I can't wait to bring our kids to the store, I just have to plan on being there for hours, because there is so much to see and play with. Hope everyone loves it as much as we do!
I love this story. Tgh estaff is helpful. I have done my Christmas shopping ther even before I had children. They always for hard to find gifts. My children, nieces, nephew, and friend's children have always loved their gifts for Deluxe Tou & Hobby. I always start my Chirstmas shopping there!!

I went to this business to find an inexpensive dollhouse for my granddaughter. The one I got was Fisher Price and it was several dollars less than Walmart! The saleslady took me to every floor to browse their inventory. I found their prices to be very reasonable, at least the things I bought. They have a huge store.
They are a Lionel store, so they sell Lionel trains, but only the small gauge electric. They are listed as a Lionel Service Center.
Great store, but bad customer service.
I purchased 11 items and spent close to $200. Had one item that had two prices on it and the owner would not honor the lower price.
They had two of the item and she was upset that I was purchasing the one that was in the box instead of the display model.
Very bad customer service experience.
What a disappointment to be treated that way as a known first-time customer. Guess they have enough business that they don't need me or my references.
Family owned and operated toy business. Great selection and a staff that will help make sure your child gets the toy of their dreams. Do not let the family owned business fool you, their prices are GREAT, sometimes lower than the "big stores". They run a business the way they should be run. CHECK THIS STORE OUT before you buy elsewhere!!!!!!!!
PROS: Super selection, help and prices
They have three stories of nothing but toys. They have specialty toys that you would not find else where. They have a great layaway for all year round. Are eager to help you find the perfect toy for whatever age. The prices are very competitive. Looking for a unique toy, this is the place. At christmas time they had toys in the windows for the last seventy-five years. They have alot of different train sets. They also have hard to find rokenbok sets.
This is a family owned toy and hobby store that has been in the downtown area for 50 plus years. They have the most hard to find and unique toys. The place consists of three floors. They sell Thomas the Tank Engine items and sets along with your collectible trains. They sell specialty dolls including Madame Alexander. You can even find older hard to find items. On the second floor they have everything you could ever want if you were a kid. They just recently cleaned up the place after years of being a bit cluttered and messy. It looks really great now. The basement floor I believe has little tikes and bike and furniture things. I have never been down there. If you are in need of a unique toy you can call and the staff, which consists of the owners and others, they are very knowledgeable of their inventory. At Christmas this year they had a huge display window that consisted of toys from the past to current toys. The prices here are a bit higher then what you would normally see in a toys r us or Wal-mart, but sometimes it is worth paying a little more. They are a small hometown store and have limited stock so I understand the higher price thing.
