This small, out-of-the-way, cafe/diner/deli/bar (can't quite be catogorized) is one of the best places I've eaten in a long time. A huge menu, lot's of beers, and nightly dinner specials that will impress ANY food critic. Sometimes the wait can be a little annoying, seeing as there's no place to wait, but it's qell worth it. The best clem chowder anywhere! (Yes, I've had it in Boston.) A sandwich menu that goes on for days. Portions that will choke a horse. And did I mention the nightly specials? The chef here does seafood like nobody else in the area. This place has become a weekly stop for dinner. I go to a lot of restaurants every month, but this one is my favorite. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, but just relax, and enjoy the food!

Pros: the nightly specials, the atmosphere

Cons: can be crowded

My wife and I easily recommend this as our favorite casual/classy deli type restaurant/bar. Small, and usually crowded, getting a seat takes only a short while. Although the sandwich menu is sure to please. (I haven't found a bad one yet out of the 20 or so I've sampled!) Don't sell yourself short by not trying the dinner type items. Also, baskets of fries and rings are plenty big to share between 3, and the desserts are no slouch either. However, meals are so substantial, that I usually just leave with one of the snickerdoodle cookies at the counter. (The best snickerdoodle I have ever tasted- bar none!). Great spot for lunch, or even just to stop in for a beer / wine and some fried oysters. You can't go wrong - it WILL become one of your favorites.

Favorite sandwich - The "Sassy Sarah" Corned Beef, Pastrami & Cream Cheese on Rye - Outstanding!

I have eaten in some of the best rest's in the world and for fum & friends Gasoline Alley is the best. It's small but roomy. The food is always great. I eat there at least twice a week and maybe more. If you are any one go there, if your not any one go there any way you'll have a great time and good food and drinks.
I rate this place a 9.00

Great food and service. It is also consistent. I go there every weekend to meet friends and eat well.

A small (10 -12 tables) bar and grill with a WIDE range of menu offerings - mussels, pasta dishes, pizza, hot and deli sandwiches, burgers...and a great bar. I've never had a bad meal, and the prices are very reasonable. Not for large groups, and "non-smoking" is a small section at the other end of the building (but not unpleasant). Really fun décor, too - makes those chain "theme" restaurants look cheesy (-er?). Service and/or seating can be slow, but worth it.
