I have been going to rousters apple house with my family every year since I was a baby It is a GREAT place to visit. Their apples are the best around and it is a very cute place. I would recomend going in the fall that is when it is the best. The whole place just smells so good with apples

This place has the best cider you'll find anywhere. Just the right tartness and right sweetness...it is the taste of fall. My mom and grandmother took me when I was growing up. I make sure to go and load up on the cider and apples when I get in town during the fall. Excellent environment, friendly people, and fresh products. You can't beat it. If you're in the area you should definitely go there.

Nice down-home feel. I would defiantly recommend stopping in, even if only for a minute. The apple cider is excellent, the apples are fresh, and the people are friendly and inviting. If you want a fun and easy day planned for your family try berry picking or just curling up around the fireplace on a cold day. The apples are slightly more expensive than your grocery store but the quality more than makes up for it.

We've been going to Rousters for years. On a cool day, there is a fire in the large stone fireplace where you can sit and warm up. The apples are freshly picked on the Rousters Farm; their special being the "Krispy" apple only available there. I go there annually and always have gotten great advice on which apples to use for my pies, cakes and apple butter. In the summer we pick blueberries in Rousters blueberry fields. It is truly a place of magic within the Cincinnati area.

Calling all apple lovers! The fall brings few activities to the Cincinnati Tri-State area that rival the autumnal atmosphere to experience at Rouster's Apple House. This family owned business has been around for many, many years and has been a family tradition for us for many years as well. The "House" itself is an old barn like structure with exposure to heat and cool, easily seen from the road. Variety is the spice of life at Rousters-they have over 40 types of apples available at different times from late August through November. If you are lucky enough to go on a cold fall day, they usually have a nice fire going in the fireplace. If you are even luckier, they will have hot spiced cider to purchase by the cup-not that they won't offer you a sample of their cool, sweet cider anytime that you come in to browse. (Of course, a sample of cider is never enough for us-they sell it to go from individual size sealed containers to gallon. But don't worry, whether it is cold or hot outside, their "cider pops" (popsicles) are a very tasty treat too. Another must have is a jar of their apple butter-made with or without added sugar and good either way. Lots of other fun treats are there to enjoy from small apples for small kids to sample to beautiful mums in season. They have great customer friendly signs describing what each apple tastes like, what texture it has and what it is best used for. However, if you can't make up your mind on what apple sounds best, just ask for a sample, they will cut you a piece of one to try. I recommend Galas in early fall and of course the Rouster's exclusive, Krispy. If you come on a weekend from mid September through October, be prepared for crowds and to wait in line to pay for possibly 15 minutes or more. But take my advice, it is well worth it! Don't trust me? The Graeter's Ice Cream of Cincinnati uses Rouster's Jonathon apples for their caramel apples and apple cider sorbet in the fall.

Pros: Atmosphere and Apples

Cons: Nothing

My favorite place to go in the fall. The apples are so fresh. They pick them daily. You can sample just about anything before purchasing. The cider is made right as you wait.
