Just had "Steve" here from Richard's Appliance. He was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, & helpful. He called me before arrival to let me know he was on his way. Had to order the part for my LG electric range. Did not charge me for today's visit. Gave me a clear quote for the work to be done. Couldn't have asked for better service.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I used this company for appliance repair in my home several times and never had a problem. The owner mentioned that they were doing plumbing so when I needed my main line snaked out (this needs to be done yearly), I called them. They quoted me $165 to snake the main line. I requested repeatedly that they snake both towards the street and towards my house as we have tree roots that tend to grow through the lines. They ran the snake towards the street once, 45 feet and refused to do anything else. The two men then came into my bathroom and ran the water in my tub for 10 minutes. I thought they were flushing the lines but didnt know for sure as they told me NOTHING. Without my knowledge they decided to pull apart my sink, which at the time was draining. After 20 minutes, they asked my elderly mother to gain access under my home to get to the drain lines. At this point we realized that they were attempting to do work that we didn't authorize, and were padding the bill so we asked them to stop what they were doing. Again we explained that all we needed was to have the main line snaked towards the street and towards our house. They then told us that they could not "fix our problem" until they broke up the concrete in our utility room and did approx. $6000 worth of work. We asked them to leave. They charged us $227 and for some reason they didn't have any receipts (that would possibly state what their guarantee for work would be) and used a piece of lined paper to write out the amount. After they left, I found that my tub was pulled apart. The drain access was sitting in the tub and the screw was on the floor. They ruined my stark white bath towel by wiping a black and orange oily substance on it (the picture I posted is my ruined towel). They also caused my bathroom sink to plug completely. We called the company to complain that they did not do the job requested and left us in worse shape than before the visit. They gave us a $40 refund ($187 and they made the situation worse). I was still not able to do laundry because the drain in my utility room was plugged. I called the company after a week to let them know that the tub drain was backing up again. I figured I would give them a chance to correctly do the work a second time. They told me to "call someone else." They offer no warranty or guarantee for the work they (don't) do. I called the company that I normally use (the owner was out of town at the time that I used Richard's Appliance and Plumbing) and he did the job properly. Don't use this company! They are rude, they refuse to do the work you request they do and they will try to talk you into expensive, unnecessary work. I paid twice to have the job done properly and because of the treatment I received by their customer service manager, I will never use that company again!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! TRUST ME! RUDE and I BELIEVE CROOKS!

Tech was two hours late, disagnosised in 5 minutes (tops) dryer problem was a thermostat and washer was filling up with water fine. The problem with my washer wasn't the filling up it was not washing in COLD water! Then said my lines were crossed, but the cold/hot water worked fine prior.

When I told tech to wait until I got there his words and I quote "I AM NOT WAITING FOR YOU..GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT"

The good reviews must be relatives or Richards employes themseleves.

Use the tech's own advice "GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT"

Better Business Bureau is my next step!

My husband and I have ONLY used Richard's for several years now and we can't say enough good things about them! We get prompt and courteous response every time. We both work and because of that, they even give me a call in advance of when they're able to be at the house so that one of us can meet them there. If they can't fix a problem, they find a way to resolve it and then always tell us to call them if we're not happy. When reviewing their reasonable rates and products, I would NEVER use the word "cheap" ... that's too demeaning. Reasonable and below others' prices is a better way to describe them and their services/products. Cheap just makes them sound below average and they are certainly ABOVE average in our experiences with them. :-)

After recently purchasing all new appliances where I needed same day installation, I decided to call Richard's. I was told someone would be out to install between 11-2pm. I had then asked for an approximate cost estimate and was told they "didn't know but our repair guy can call you to discuss." First red flag. After waiting for someone to show up, I received a call at 1:30pm stating that they do not do installations and would not be coming. I would have appreciated that information at 9am when I first called. Apparently they do not know their services nor their cost. There are too many other reliable, organized appliance repair/installation companies in NE Ohio. Don't waste your time.

Refrigerator had problems several years ago, repairman was quiet, efficient, and very professional. He also answered questions I had very thoroughly, and helped me to understand my appliance and the workings of other refrigerators in comparison and in general. Problem fixed...still have 'fridge with no problems. Cost surprised me...extremely reasonable! So happy that when the pump on my washer broke down, I took it to their store to see if they sold replacements, which they did, but they also explained why my similar part broke down so fast. They had a good used one made from stronger materials, and sold it to me for half the price of the new one, and no problems since then either. The price was awesomely reasonable, and the whole staff was engaged in helping me...all of them really nice! I now am going to check out their store again for a friend who needs a replacement appliance, but is on a very limited income...I trust that they will be helpful in this situation.

I needed a Apartment complex full of appliances, and Richard's Appliance has me set. I got so many pieces for so cheap and I really reccomend for anyone who needs appliances. Little local owned place About 10 years ago showed himself. He really gots something going here. You get your appliances $400-600 CHEAPER Than A brand new, and they still feel new. They also sell tv's and other random things so check in often!

Prior to putting the house on the market we required a dishwasher gasket repair. This $49 job turned into a $139 replacement of the inside door module because it's "too hard" to replace the gasket alone- okay, roll with it. When the rude and days-late technician presented the invoice, it was for $149- and I didn't catch it. He over-wrote the "3" with a "4" on the invoice with no explanation as to why the extra ten bucks. Do NOT RECOMMEND!!

When we moved this is where we got all our appliances. My sister got hers here too. The service was great and the staff was so helpful that when after 3 years and a family of mice killed our stove we went back to them for another. If you are looking for a cheap and dependable appliance shop here.

When I needed to get my washer fixed, I shopped around for the best competive prices and decided to go here. There price is about the same with every other appliance repair shop. The staff was friendly and was very helpful with all my questions that I had regarding the repair that was going to be done. They were fast and came within 24 hours, which was very impressive. They even offer used appliances for sale if you don't want to get a repair done.
