Tamer Construction, Inc., was founded in June of 1988 by John M. Tamer. John started out after leaving a job with a large construction company as a project manager. As a tradesman himself, he saw a need for quality workmanship with professional management at an honest price. Therefore, it was on this foundation which Tamer Construction was built. Today, the same quality of workmanship, management, and customer support is stronger than ever and continuing to grow with the demanding remodeling industry. Tamer Construction is an active member of NARI (the National Association of the Remodeling Industry) and PRO (Professional Remodelers of Ohio). John is also a NARI Certified Remodeler and a PRO Certified Professional Remodeler. To be a member of these organizations, we must meet certain critera which qualifies us as a legitimate, professional, and honest company. To become Certified by these organizations, we must go through extensive study groups and a very structured testing process. Along with the Certification Process, we must maintain a certain amount of Continuing Education hours per year in order to keep our Certification up to date! We were referred to John by a friend who had work done by Tamer and were extremely pleased. From the very beginning, the process was simple because John knew what he was doing and was very knowledgeable. The design was done with their 3-D computer system and we were able to see our project before it was built. The 3-D design was extremely helpful to us. We were able to position windows, doors and walls based on some of our existing furniture we were using and it helped give us a good sense of space. During the construction process, they kept the jobsite extremely clean and they kept our existing living area separate from the work area with temporary walls and lots of plastic. Hardly any dust made it into our existing living area. All of the trademen I came in contact with were true professionals. They were very polite, informative, and clean. They truly treated my home as if it were theirs. The building inspectors from the city told me during the intermediate inspections that I chose the right contractor based on what they were seeing, which made me feel really good. They finished our project at least 3 weeks ahead of schedule! We also stayed on budget as promised by John. The craftsmanship was second to none. We have family members that are in various aspects of building and they were extremely impressed with all of the workmanship and the professionalism of John and everyone involved. I highly recommend Tamer Construction to anyone that is looking for a professional, hassle free, high quality building/remodeling company.

Excellent, Professional Remodeling Company

We were given Johns name by a friend that had work done by Tamer Construction and they were very pleased with the workmanship and everything else about his company. We were planning on doing a major remodel consisting of an addition, kitchen remodel, master bedroom, master bath and family room extension. I was not looking forward to meeting with contractors and trying to choose one after all of the horror stories I have heard so I am grateful my friend referred me to Tamer. From the very beginning, the process was easy for us because John knew what he was doing and his design ideas were incredible! He has a 3-D computer system in the office which made it very easy for us to visualize how we would use the new space and where to put windows, doors, cabinetry, etc.. to suite our lifestyle. Once work began, It went extremely smooth and we were kept informed of everything that was going on during the entire process. All of the tradesmen were extremely professional, polite, informative and clean. Our jobsite was kept clean as well as the inside of our home. I was very impressed with their level of cleanliness by keeping our "living space" separated from the construction areas and how they were able to keep our family life functioning pretty normally via temporary sinks, laundry and cooking areas during the time of construction. They finished our project 3 weeks ahead of schedule and they were able to keep to the original budget we established. We had changed some things during construction and they were extremely accomodating, like it was no big deal! I cannot say enough about John and his company and all of the people I came in contact with. The city building inspectors also commented on the high level of craftsmanship of the work that was performed and they also commented to me during the intermediate inspections that we chose the right contractor for the job based on what they were seeing during the inspections. I would and have recommended them to friends
