Dirty. There was a piece of kitchen trash (a 6 inch piece of string) cooked into my daughter's spring roll appetizer. I was told owner Pat Boonsin's policy is not to refund money for dinners ruined by foreign objects in people's food.

I will drive 30 mins to get to Bangkok Bistro for the Crispy Pad Thai. It's that good! It is crunchy and a little sweet and spicy. So great! Last time I was there I also got a Japanese beer and a seaweed salad. The price is great for

Pros: very large portion

Cons: may have to take some home for the night snack

Great little neighborhood eatery. The first time I went, I ordered my usual Thai favorite, cashew chicken. It was good, but when my dining partner offered me a taste of her crispy pad thai, I was hooked! I'm not even a pad thai fan, but this stuff is off-the-charts! Everyone I have taken there has been equally impressed. The service is so-so, the prices are alright, the ambiance is not bad, but the crispy pad thai is positively addictive!

Pros: Crispy Pad Thai with Thai Iced Tea or a cold beer

Cons: You'll need a 12 step program to get over it.

Bangkok Bistro is easily one of the city's best Thai restaraunts. Having sampled Pad Thai at a number of local establishments on both sides of the river, I can easily say that the quality of the food at Bangkok Bistro is far superior. The portions are generously sized and seasoned to taste. The staff is courteous and the service is very expedient. One of my favorite features is the patio that provides for outdoor dining. The average entree costs between $10-$15 and many additions are available a la carte. There is also a sushi bar on site and a variety of imported beverages to sample.
