My dog is a nearly 10 year old Scottish Terrier. He was brought to the Parsons avenue animal clinic a little over a week ago after having problems breathing and general fatigue. He was seen by the vet at the clinic who diagnosed him with....well he didn't really diagnose him at all. What he told my Mom was that he thought he had he had tooth problems, because Buddy was having trouble opening his mouth. Why did he say he THOUGHT this. Well that's because he didn't bother to look in his mouth, or neck or anything else for that matter. The quote was to my Mom "Can you try and open his mouth I'm a little errie of this breed". So the guy didn't even bother to try and open his mouth. Buddy was sent home with anti-biotics and nothing more and we were told to WAIT and see if they worked after calling 3 days in to the treatment. Buddy's condition was not improving at all. Thanks to the wonderful people at the Groveport Canal animal clinic, we now know that Buddy has lymphoma and is only going to have about 2 months 2 live. While this is super painful, we now at least know his condition and can make him comfortable in his remaining time. This guy didn't care or take the time to do what was needed for my dog. If you live in this area, go to the Obetz or Groveport animal clinic, these people care and are not 5 minutes from retirement. I am very displeased with the care my beloved dog got from these people and will never darken their door again.

Dr.Timmons has a bad day every now just like everyone else! They have always been wonderful about working with me for payment in an emergency situation and all the staff really love animals! I love that they do not have all the 'fluff' as a lot of new vets have. He understands some of us just want to keep our animals safe and does not waste my money on stuff that is not necessary!

This place is a joke. When my dog started limping I decided to call the Parsons Animal Clinic . I informed them that he was very large (around 130lbs) and is scared of everything. I asked if they could call in a pill to help calm him down before bringing him in. They couldn't do this since they didn't have an exact weight for him (which is completely understandable). They said to go ahead and bring him in and that they could sedate him some if needed. When the Vet came in and tried to look at his paw my dog pulled away and tried to hide under the chairs. Dr. Timmons comment was "I don't know how I'm going to check this out" and he turned around and walked out. After I sat for a moment wondering what was going on a nurse came in and gave him a shot to help calm him down. When Dr. Timmons came back in he decided that he wanted to try and put a muzzel on him, even though he don't bite. Dr. Timmons and two others were trying to hold him while attempting to put the muzzle on. After a moment Dr. Timmons got angry, stood up and threw the muzzle on the ground and walked out without a word to me or the nurses. I ended up taking my dog and walking out. This guy had an attitude from the moment he walked in the room. I don't know if he was having some kind of bad day but I do know that I will never find out because I will never go back. What kind of Veterinarian treats the animals and clients this way.

November of 2006 I decided to take in a stray cat for the first time. I had no idea what needed to be done and really no immediate cash to do a lot.
There was a nice lady who helped me & told me about Care Credit. I am really bad with names but the German Shepard is hers.
I had my cat De-clawed and neutered. She also got all of her shots.
When I took her in I didn't even have a carrier for her. I was given a cardboard one.
I had a great experience with Parsons Animal Clinic. They were great! Very polite, helpful & courteous. Not only to me but the people I saw come in also. As a matter of fact, I stumbled across this page looking for their phone number again.
I was referred there by a friend and I would refer anyone there!

You don't have a cell phone Kim?? Should have had your kid contact you before he took your dog to the vet. I assume you further traumatized the kid by yelling at him or her for trying to save your animal. Timmons, I'm sure did his best to save your dog. I have used Doc Timmons for 20 years for care of all of my animals, from the found stray to my $ 2500.00 Maincoone cat: "Sam". He knows what he's doing, has a great staff and does all he can to save of help any pet he comes across. Vets' are well trained which equals expensive. Writing a poor review of his services because you have communication issues and can't hold a job is ridiculous

My experience is that of a truly different one. On 05/24/2005 my 14 year old son took my poodle to the Parson Animal Clinic. Our poodle was attacked by another dog & I was @ work. It was clear by the pictures that I took after receiving my dog back, that this dog indeed could not be saved. Don't get me wrong I loved my dog very much however, Parsons Animal Clinic had NO PLACE allowing a MINOR to bring in & authorize surgery without prior consent of an adult. Directly after the death of my dog I lost my job and was then advised I would have to pay a $849.00 bill in which I did not authorize work to be done for my dog. They even charged me billing fees for the statements and etc, again mind you I did not take my pet in a MINOR child did as I was @ work. Had I been home I would have simply had my baby put to sleep seeing the severity of his poor little body, there was NO saving this dog whatsoever & I have numerous pictures to prove it. However, the Animal Clinic performed the surgery anyway. The 1st bill was even sent in my Minor child's name. People may claim that the vet is of good standards in their care however, their judgment is not. I will argue that $849.00 worth. Now I am being forced to pay or be taken to collections! At this point I have to wonder should I obtain an attorney or no, I have spoke with one.

Parsons Animal Clinic has been wrongly accused, so, "Anonymous", thank you for recommending that we contact the Ohio Veterinary Licensing Board. I did. The Doctor's practice and record is as clean as his sterilized equipment! Shame on you, "Anonymous"!!
He has been our "Marcus Welby" for four canine companions, and his knowledge, compassion, skill, and plain common sense is refreshing! I don't feel like I'm getting ripped off with unnecessary testing or expensive experiments. He knows his stuff.
They have customer-friendly office hours. Ample free parking. And best of all, they passionately care.

I checked into the alleged "complaints" with the Ohio Veterinarian Licensing Board and found that there was one(1) complaint filed in August, 2007 by a disgruntled client. Upon further investigation, I found that on September 12, 2007 the Ohio Veterinarian Medical Licensing Board completed its investigation to the "complaint", considered the facts of the investigation and that the investigation did NOT reveal sufficient evidence to find a violation, therefore, the case has been closed.

Dr.Timmons has been practicing veterinarian medicine for over 40 years in this community and has always been highly respected and cares deeply for both his patients and clients. I personally have known Dr. Timmons and he has treated all of my beloved pets since 1970.

I take great offense to "Anonymous"s hurtful comments. If "Anonymous"s facts are true, why not say who you are and present proof of the allegations.

By Jim W. My Wife and I have taken our dog to Parsons animal clinic several times and found the place to be pet friendly with a knowledgeable and friendly staff. Parking at there door, and convenient hours ! Unlike the CONS in the review by Patty S. I failed to see why being in the south end was a CON.PROS Pet friendly, Knowledgeable staff, Parking at door, and Convenient Hours !

When I first began calling and asking around about pet services I found a very local animal clinic that had competitive prices for services, a vet with good standing in the community and the clinic was recommended by others. This was 14 years ago and over these years Ive always taken My 3 dogs and 2 cats to Parsons for all of their needs. The office is very pet friendly, helpful staff and late hours of operation, very clean and sanitary. I recommend all my friends with pets to them.

PROS: Late office hours, Pet Friendly Office, Knowledgeable staff,
CONS: Location is in the South End.

Dr. Timmons and the staff at Parson's Animal Clinc are the best around. You won't meet a group of people more caring and understanding about your pets. They always listen and respond accordingly. (Even if you have a small dog with a big dog complex and you constantly have to call because he's getting himself in trouble. ;-) ) They will do what is best for your pet. We have taken all our animals, which have included five dogs and three cats, there for around 30 years. I've always loved them but when our dog of 17 years had to be put to sleep because of cancer, I will never forget the tears of the vet along with mine. A wonderful man and a wonderful vet.
