This is a unique chance to go into what they call "the Earth Crack". The cave is not like Carlsbad Caverns, with a large ceiling and a walk in effect. This is an underground cavern, that at times can seem pretty tight to anyone who tends to be claustrophobic. It opens up in other areas, but it can be a little tricky to climb around on the paths that they lead you through on the tour. Although they offer a $5.50 rate for children ages 5-12 and children under 5 are free, I would be a little hesitant bringing the very young down here. You would be carrying them and it could be a bit precarious. The rate for adults is $11. This being said, it is an awesome experience for children able to traverse the ups and downs of the paths and they also have a great gift shop. If you go in the summer be sure to bring a jacket with you because it is 54 degrees down in the cavern. They do close in the winter, but open back up in May.

If you and your kids like to climb rocks, and see different levels of rock, you need to visit here. My husband, daughter and two boys and myself came to see this. It was very expensive, although they do use the Ohio Kids' card and AAA for discounts. You go down about 7 levels of this cave actually climbing on the rock with a guide. He pointed out areas of interest, and now I would like to take my cub scouts here. Very interesting and 54 degrees all the time...

PROS: climbing down, then up the cave
CONS: expensive- cost us 46.00 for a tour.
