After Thankgiving 2009 ,my Mother who is 86 years owning a 2004 Hyundai Sonata with now 18,000 miles went to Superior Hyudai
for a hard starting problem. They let her sit all day there and finnally took her home. They next day she got her car back. What they did was replace the timming belt and charged her over $600 . They did not fix the problem. My son, just out of the Marines, who is a mechnaic at a place called The Garage on the west side of town found the problem in 20 minutes. It was the fuel pressure regulator leaking through the vacuum hose. The cost of the repair $85. I am very disappointed how this dealership would take advantage of a 86 year old woman.
The Garage ( where my son works) stated it is their policy to make sure the elderly person understands the repair and cost. In the case of the elderly they make a effort to contact family members and or friends to make sure they understand. They have in fact talked them out of unnessary repairs.
I have Hyudai Sante Fe actually needing a timming belt because it has almost 60000 miles on it. The question is should I take the vehicle to this dealership for repairs?

We purchased a car for my 18 yr old daughter. Left there liking the sales people but had to wait almost 2 hours to do finance. We had the car for 2 weeks when we received a message from a call from the finance department stating they needed a little more information on our daughter or else they would come and get the car - information that was given at time of signing, but was "lost". So, I faxed the social security card and informed them I was waiting for her employer to send a copy of paystub. The next day I received a call from finance dept -Pat stating he needed the information TODAY or they were taking the car back. I informed him this was his mistake and that we were making every effort to get the information to him however I did not appreciate being treated as if I did something wrong or was a criminal, he proceeded to yell...not talk loud, but YELLED stating he didn't care if I purchased another car from their lot in the future. If the dealer did not get paid from the bank today, he was taking the car back. After I talked to the managers, they realized that I had in fact faxed all information over they needed and did not understand why Pat was calling my house, my daughter's work and my husband's work - 2 DAYS IN A ROW!! The finance dept didn't have their ducks in a row at the time of signing and since they made a mistake, they could not admit, but used scare tactics and harassment! I hope they let him go.

Ever see those news shows where they take hidden cameras into car dealerships and they try to rip the buyer off with a bunch of hidden fees? Welcome to Superior Hyundai.

I recently tried to purchase a used car from them and they tried to rip me off twice. Even after getting a ??final? price in writing include tax and title, they attempted to tag an extra $200 on to my load for a loan origination fee. They lied to me and said they were only passing on a charge from the bank. After walking away and telling them I would get my own financing they agreed to waive the origination fee. Then they tried to tag an extra $250 documentation fee on to the price. Each time, for the loan papers and purchase agreement, they tried to get me to sign without reviewing the numbers.

The funny thing is, I was getting a really good price for the vehicle, if they had just giving me an honest ??final? price up front, I would have paid for it. I walked because I despise someone trying to take advantage of me and tre

Response from this business:

Dealer Fees All Dealers charge Title / Documentation Fees. I'm certain you probably paid them at another dealer if you bought somewhere else. The Maximum Fee in Ohio is $250. This covers overhead, title clerks, even helps to keep the lights/heat on in the building. All banks charge origination fees as well. If they offered to waive them, they still would have paid the fee to the bank, it would have come out of profit instead. Please let me know your thoughts and if there are any other questions after the fact. Rob Ernst Internet Director Superior Chevrolet 513-200-5025 (cel)

I bought my car from here when they were located on Glenway Ave. They were awesome then. Every since they moved, they have gone down hill. The last time I took my car in becuase it kept popping out of gear. When I took it in to have it looked at, they kept it for three days and told me that they couldn't find antyhing wrong with it. They had not even put a tenth of a mile on the car after claiming two different people took it out and drove it! I took it to Hyundai North in Fairfield and they fixed it right away. I would highly recomend you take your hyundai there instead.

PROS: ???
CONS: Very poor customer service

Our insurance company recommended them to do the repair on our van because the air bags were out, and they were the "Honda dealership".

First thing, they didn't go back to our insurance company with the additional damage they found over the estimate. The car should've been totalled out. Now we're stuck with a car that no one is going to want to purchase because of its history. That is my minor complaint.

When we picked up our van, there were several things damaged just from their work trying to fix it. There is a spot of hardened glue on our large floor mat from, and two nicks in the front windshield. When my husband called to ask about it, the manager became very nasty and he was told "We can't know if those things were there when the car was brought in". Considering I don't keep glue in my car, and it was obviously fresh since they dropped it and THEN decided to put down a paper mat (which you can tell since it was ripped off and the top looks like a fresh paper tear), it was obviously not there bef
