I was absolutely shocked to read the negative reviews about Bethany. My son has been going to daycare there since he was 10 weeks old (he just turned 4) and we have NEVER had any problems! They are strict w/ discipline problems-there was a "biter" who bit every kid in the class and was asked to leave the school. I think its important to match up your child with the right teacher, which you usually have 2-3 options of classes, and then there shouldn't be any problems. If there is a problem with another student, you can ask to move into another room. If your child is not creating a problem, which appears to be the case with the other reviewers, you shouldn't have any issues at all there.

As far as the one reviewer saying they watch TV all day, that is totally wrong! They have specific TV days for each room and share the TV during the week. They do a number of art projects and work on letters, numbers, colors, etc. (at least in the 2 1/2 and up rooms). Each day they spend time either in the gym or outside (depending on the weather) to make sure the kids have enough exercise time. They include breakfast, lunch and a snack in the price of the daycare.

I am pregnant w/ my second child and have absolutely no hesitation sending him to Bethany as well. I also plan on keeping my 4 year old there for elementary school. Before you dismiss this place based on the other negative experiences, check it out for yourself.

This is really funny. I am reading these comments below and its not suprising. I finally pulled my son out of this school in the 2nd grade. He was there from Pre-K to mid 2nd grade year. My poor son. I don't know why I left him there that long. If you child acts like a child, they are put down and made to believe that they are a "bad" kid. My son was suspended while standing in line for the bathroom. He and another boy were hitting each other in the arms (playing but they shouldn't have been playing that way). I got a call to come and get my son, was told about the "bullying policy" they had there, and that if it continued he would be asked to leave. Both kids admitted to playing around and no one was being bullied. My son had the worst self esteem while he was in that school. His grades were poor and I got a call at least once a week for something stupid. SInce I pulled him out, wouldn't you know? Not ONE phone call. In fact, I got a lot of praises and so did he! Mr. Lindsay, the principal is a horrible dictator. He told me my son needed professional help and brought in Parma City School District to have him evaluated! When the district psychologist tested him, she said there was nothing wrong with my son except the school he was in. HA! Do not send your kid here if he/she isn't a walking zombie. The moment your child gets silly or has an "off" day, your child will be labeled for the rest of his days there.

I was very disappointed with the school and their inability to deal with the kindergarten and young children. When a child misbehaves in any way the child is sent to the corner, hall and then principal's office. Unfortunately, the principal was with high school students for many years and seems unable to think and be on the same level as the younger children. Teachers seem unable to control the classes and students. My child was withdrawn from the school and has thrived in the different setting.
