With Identity it's really either a hit or miss. Sometimes the service is great some times it's crap. I've had terrible haircuts from two separate women one which literally destroyed my hair. I've been growing it out for the last year and I'm just now getting to the point were it's healthy again. I had another women who did an okay job but didn't really listen to me. Mary is the number one stylist at identity!!! She listens and does exactly what you want unless she thinks it's unflattering in which case she very nicely offers her opinion but leaves the final decision up to you. She always takes her time and she's saved my hair from a few bad calls on my own part. Go see Mary if you see anyone there!!! I give Mary 5 stars and identity 2.

My mom & I had whirlpool pedicures with Angela today...it was the best pedicure I have ever had. She is experienced and does a very nice job. I suggest you request her!

Booked an 1.5 hour massage, the massage was not very good. The therapist didn't seem experienced. However, this I can accept, when you are new to a salon sometimes you don't get a therapist that you like or jell with however the spa was a joke. From the minute I arrived, the receptionist was preoccupied with counting her draw totals to look up and help (it was 10:00 in the morning, how critical could this have been)? Once my massage was over, I steped into their showers (which from the surface look nice) however, one towel in the entire place which was a thin as a Days Inn. The toiletries were non existant, no soap, no shampoo -- nothing. Then the changing area didn't have a hair dryer -- I was in a salon and spa and they don't have hair dryers in the spa . . . I asked the receptionist to use a hairdryer and she said, "I'll see if I can borrow one from a technician." They really need to work on customer service and making their spa user friend. At least a little bottle of shampoo and one of those hairdryers that is attached to the wall.

Overall I was totally unimpressed with Identity (and my massage therapist). There are tons of spas in Cincinnati, skip this one.

Pros: Easy to get into - got appointment in 30 minutes from time I called (should have been a warning sign)

Cons: Loud, ill-equiped spa, therapist are inexperienced.

AVOID Amanda. Amanda ( Owner) had previously cut and high lightened my hair. She has her own ideas and color was way too light. I will say the "California Cut" she gave me was cute. Regrowth on hair was VERY obvious after 3 weeks. At 4 weeks went in for haircut and blending of color to minimize root regrowth. Had pictures (4) of haircut. Amanda decided it was a "CALIFORNIA CUT " and proceeded to give the worst haircut , too layered , sides uneven, nothing like any of the pictures, which were shots of a blunt cut (pictures of Cameron Diaz from "The Holiday" ) ALSO The highlights/low-lights she put in did not mask the obvious regrowth I had. BAD HAIRCUT/BAD HIGH LIGHTS, she knew it was wrong, and that I was unhappy. $125.00 later. Yes I paid! Called Amanda when I got home, to arrange FIX of haircut. She cut LOTS more off to give "style" and said to" wait for it to grow" to re-cut. Very arrogant stylist, She gives the only haircut she knows "THE CALIFORNIA" (which was the first layered cut she gave me) and will not acknowledge a mistake. Mad at myself for paying. Very expensive. Paid 185.00 for highlights and haircut first time I went. Check out other reviews. One said to AVOID Amanda. Wish I had read that before making an appointment. Guess that's why she is so easy to schedule.

This is a cutting edge salon and spa located near one of the busiest areas (close to Fields Ertel Road). The palce has a unique atmosphere, complete with water fountains and pillars. The look gives a relaxing environment. The staff seem to be very good at designing. Various packages are available such as Aspen elements (facial, makeup, shampoo, haircut and style), Escape to Aspen (makeup, shampoo, haircut and style, manicure, pedicure and massage) and Aspen Retreat (facial, makeup, shampoo, haircut and style, manicure, pedicure and massage). Costs range from $125 to $240.
A geat place to indulge yourself once in a while.
