After we left you we decided to go to Sirpilla just for giggles. We arrived and while Gary was finishing his cigarette I walked in looking for a salesman. I walked all over the showroom looking round. Fifteen minutes later I had to ask

Do not go there if you don't like to be pressured into buying something. I couldn't believe how people can be so nice and then turn around and be so rude and nasty when they figure out you aren't planning on buying that day!! We have

I recently purchased a travel trailer at (Sirpilla) Camping World of Canton after purchasing at the RV show. I ended up buying the camper at the show even though I thought the salesman was pushy. They gave me my contract and I waited 12

Two months ago I paid $10,000 for a 30" Motorhome.
Test drove it, the only issue was a" tapping" coming from the exaust. The salesman said "Oh, it has not been run in awhile they all do that. The sales staff was very polite, humble, ET...
So I bought it. From Sirpilla RV in Akron Ohio.
I made it 4 miles when all hell broke loose. Brakes failing, interior parts falling apart, the interior ceiling above me began to fall inward, brushing against my head.
Then that "tapping" noise became a "Bamming" noise, exaust fumes filled the interior.
This all occured in 3-4 minutes, as I it took about a mile plus to get the RV stopped.
I had to have a heavy wrecker ( tow) it 31 miles to the only RV repair center that would touch it as Sirpilla has a "notorious reputation for "revenge" on anyone who repairs their RV's as they want the business.
I also found the owners are extremely wealthy and have no qualms using revenge tactics on anyone who "takes" their business. Sirpillas is among the largest RV dealers in the North Eastern U.S. They even have an "IN-house" lawyer. Now do the math.
The tow bill was $890.00. And just to get it running so I could get back home the cost was $ 3,900!! I had to duct tape and nail the interior ceiling so I could drive without the ceing further collapsing.
Here is the repair break down:
The head was cracked, and had been filled with some goop stuff that hardens like cement. It's only good for a limited temperature. When my RV reached operating temperture, the goop broke down.

The exaust manifold was cracked clean through. It also had goop applied to it. This was the "tapping" I heard.

I knew I was paying some 2-3 thousand more than the "Book" retailed it at.
But after looking at 27 other units, $800 in fuel/hotel cost , I decided this one was indeed a very nice unit.
A 1990, with 40,000 miles, and was 90% showroom condition.
During the test drive, the Rv performed well. For the 4 mile test run.
After the RV fell apart, I called Sirpillas and told them to send a tow truck please. Sirpilla said "We do not have a tow truck that large. Actually they did. I discovered from a lemon lawyer, had they towed my RV, they are legally "taking claim".
As it turned out, there was a lot of bandages in place throughout the RV. My mechanic said the band-aids were very fresh.( He showed me where the "goop" was still a bit putty-soft and shiny from being recently applied.
The ceiling had been glued and had not enough time to cure. I could smell the glue odor. and it was still pasty.
So obviously the dealer applied these band aids. I also noted the RV had been in Sirpillas dealership for about 3 weeks before they sold it to me via the title dates.
Thus, people, there is a very un-ethical Rv dealership out there waiting for you or some other person to drive into their business to buy an RV.
Need I state,"Please drive away from Sirpilla.
Today the Rv is in a rented storage. Sitting as I cannot afford the $ 4000-5,000 it will take to bring it back up to a acceptable mechanical condition. Making the cost of the RV...$10,000 I paid, $3, 800 in towing & immediate repairs, plus another $4,000. Total:$ 18,000.00 And all 3 RV mechanics testified, "someone" knew what was going on.
Book value: $8,000. Also, it leaks now. Bad

I recently went there to test drive a Class C because as a woman, I didn't know if I could even drive one. I was told by the salesman that if I wasn't going to buy an Rv that day, he didn't want to leave his desk in case a paying customer

Two New units purchased within two years.Had issues with both that service were less than efficient in solving.
Made numerous trips to resolve problems and lost weeks of vacation time and use of units.
Finally had to be a "jerk" to get results.
Questioning any further purchases..........too bad!

They carry a HUGE selection of RVs - something for every budget. Their upscale line is amazing. Pull outs that double the size inside. My husband and I were just looking (haven't decided what size RV we want) and the salesman was very nice. No pressure. Showed us around and knew all the features of each unit. Some of the bathrooms in these RVs are bigger than the bathroom in our first apartment. Look forward to buying from them.

They were great at the RV show to work with us on our trade, get us into a rig.
Since the sale, their customer service has been non existent. Calls not returned. Calls cut off. No one available to help. Panning everything off on their suppliers who are telling us to go through the dealer for warranty problems. Down to the point of not finding us in their system, which is odd since we receive their mailings about buying a new rig enough.
Their on hold message will tell you what great service they provide. I guess if you hear it long enough (and if you call them, you will), you're supposed to believe it.
