If you are (soon to be "were") a member of the Eastgate UA you now now that it is closing on 6/1/10. The company's policy was to continue signing up members even though it had to have known but not revealed for a long time that the Eastgate UA would be closing. This clearly explains the poor and deteriorating condition of the facility and the high turnover of managers. This sounds like fraud to me. My advice is NOT to sign with this company. Dishonest corporate behavior wouldn't be focused on just one facility. Has to be part of the corporate culture which means they will do the same anytime its suits them, in secrecy, anywhere.

Cons: the list is long

funny how when you initially sign up the money comes out of your account in a very timely fashion but when you cancel it takes 2 billing cycles and $10.00 cancellation fee! All of this using an expired contract. How can that be? Sounds like something illegal to me. Beware do not give this company your credit card information! Once you do you are basically going to get screwed out of your hard earned money in teh end. Based on their business ethic I don't see them being in business very much longer. Tony the "manager" was no help whatsoever and could care less about the unethical business practice he is part of. sad

This is a horrible gym. The TV's never work, there is equipment that is always out of order, there are few exercise classes, cardio cinema does not always work, and there are rude people who work there that will not help you. You will soon find out that everyday you work out there, there is something new wrong. I work out about 5 days a week and have belonged to Urban Active over 3 years, and it has become progressively worse over the last few months.
I would strongly recommend to pick another gym in the area, even it is a little more money. This gym is not worth the hassel you'll face.
And if you ever face a problem don't expect management to help you. They do not treat their customers well.
