I didn't have to wait, the staff was personable. The facililty is state of the art. The waiting room is full of sports memorabelia. The Dr. was thorough. If you need an orthopedic Dr. this is the place you want to go.

I was referred to Dr. Ian Rodway by my PCP. I suffered from frequent headaches. He Checked out my MRI and recommended physical therapy for 4 to 6 weeks.

Jen was my physical therapist at the Beacon Orthopedics and Sports center. Jen and the rest of the staff were very helpful and I completed my 6 week therapy.

I started feeling better from the 2nd week and my headaches were gone by the end of 4 weeks. Jen helped me get the traction device and I am using it at home now. I have been headache free for a couple of months now.

Overall, I had a great experience and I would highly recommend Dr. Rodway and Jen.

I had shoulder pain and went to see one of the doctor's there. The doctor saw me for maybe 2 min. and did a ""Hawkin's Kennedy"" maneuver that is used to diagnose shoulder impingement. The doctor said that he suspected a labrum injury (though he did not do any maneuver used such as instability testing to actually diagnose this). He referred me for an MRI with athrogram to better visualize the labrum. I recieved two phone calls from their dept. stating I would have two copays of $75 for the procedure. They were wrong and I actually ended up paying $225 in copayments. There was nothing wrong with the shoulder except mild impingement. Bottom line is, as the previous writer said, they want you in and out, and they want your money.

I am a runner that has had lower leg problems, and called Beacon prior to going to see if this is the type of facility to help my problem. The person who answered the phone encouraged me and assured me they could help.

Upon arriving, the receptionist was rude to me, felt like I was interrupting her day for showing up at my appointment.

The doctor, while nice, just wanted to put me through the MRI/X-Ray process, rushed me through this, found nothing wrong, and said buy new shoes. Explained that I had tried all kinds of things - but really got the feeling, because I wasn't one of the ""Star"" athletes they have hanging over all the walls - Reds, Bengals, High School, College Players - he just wanted to process me, take my money and move on.

No offer of follow ups, anything else - buy news shoes and get out of my office.
