When the hem fell out of my skirt, Alterations While U Wait repaired it for FREE! While I WAITED!!!
I was making a sales presentation when something began to tickle my leg. When I looked behind me, it was my skirt hem; it had fallen out in the back! It was somewhat embarrassing, but really annoying. I took it to a place near the presentation site and they wanted me to leave it with them for two weeks. I wasnt scheduled to be back in that area until next year, so I declined. When I got home, I found Alterations While U Wait in Cincinnati. I was incredulous when the owner told me over the phone that my skirt hem could be repaired quickly, and after arriving there, I was amazed when the repair was done for FREE!!! Most things I buy fit without any alterations, but if I ever do need it, I know where to take it! Thanks, Alterations While U Wait. (p.s. Your name is too long. Cant you shorten it to AWW or something?)

"Thanks, Tilley, for your nice comment!!! At Alterations While U Wait we will always repair a blind stitched hem for anyone, at no charge! It's our policy, because those hems are sewn with a self-raveling chain stitch are just that; self raveling; they ravel! You'd think that with all of today's technology, there would be a way to prevent that, wouldn't you?! In the mean while I'll just fix-um! Since it is a fault of the industry, I feel that every tailor, seamstress, and alterations shop ought to do that, but as far as I know, Alterations While U Wait is the only place that does!! (p.s: Sorry our name is sooooo long, but it says what we do ! By the way, we are aka: QFA Tailors, and you can call us simply "QFA" - Paul - November 03, 2008
