Casal Aveda Institute

this is a money hungry school!! its all about making them money,selling their products, u must purchase all your supplies from them..ur only allowed to use aveda products on their customers...if ur black please dont Attend this school!!! i warn u please DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL..THEIR RACIST!!..they'll talk about u,wont give u clients, try to block u from learning, give u dirty looks,have u doing pedicures all day when u went to school to do hair, etc....n when u confront them they'll act like they dont know wht u talkn about..they care nothg about their students,its all about the customer..theyll make u their slave, have u washn windows,doing laundry, selling retail n u get noth in return...the teachers aint sh*t all they do is talk on their phone n sit on the computers u wont learn nothg but basic stuff u already know,plus must of them are last year graduates with no experience and no older than 21...and if u try to leave their school they wont give u your hours unless u pay an outrageous % of your tuition.....go to raphaels despite what u heard,

Wether you are a costumer or a student its hell to be there. The instructors make it miserable. The students are great! The way its run and the concepts are ridiculous. It should be closed down... take a look at the breakroom...

They train new hair stylists on the customers and if you complain when they go wrong all the instructors will try to prove it to you that you are incorrect.
The only thing that attracts about it is that they are cheap.
Be there at your own risk.

You will not find a better school than Casal Aveda Institute. I was extremely impressed with all aspects of this place. The entire staff was friendly and knowledgable and treated customers wonderfully. I felt like a queen and was treated like one too. I will gladly return to this location and can't say enough good about it.

I have been to teh Original Aveda Institute In Minneapolis and have seen first hand the excellent training the students at the Institue receive. there is usually some organic food for sale at a snack bar while you wait; the student who do well can always find work upon graduating at any Aveda/Aveda cooncept salon. T hey have may arears you can train in; esthiology, cosmetology, manicuring/natirual nail care. The concentration ois on a high quality of service and weellness.

PROS: free parking; good location
CONS: only Aveda products are used
