I've used Centerville location a few times since they opened several years ago, but after this most recent visit I will not be back. When I arrived, several unleashed, soaking wet dogs were running free around the shop amidst puddles of urine and other mysterious liquids. There was dog hair plastered against the filthy floor. It smelled pretty disgusting, as well. I mean, you expect a dog grooming shop to smell like dogs but this was kind of too much.

The young woman behind the desk appeared overwhelmed and frazzled: attempting to answer phones, help other customers, and keep an eye on the loose dogs. I felt bad for her...she was the only one working on a Saturday. Once she got around to helping me and my dog (who by this time was going totally bonkers due to the other dogs leaping around him) she led me to a DIRTY tub and proceeded to fill it without even rinsing it out. She put in a SMALL DAB of shampoo and got called away by another customer, so I was pretty much left to get my dog in the tub by myself (they have a set of unstable rickety stairs into the tub) and FIGURE OUT how the stupid tub works by myself. I started how I thought I should do it, and the girl comes over and gets snappy telling me I was doing it WRONG. How was I supposed to know! I'd only been there a handful of times. In the middle of washing my dog, the recirculating pump in the tub switched off, and I had to wait while the employee climbed up an ladder to mess with the breaker or something. Her wet hands messing with electricity made me pretty nervous and I told her so. Finally I got my dog soaped and rinsed and went to use the blow dryer and it had absolutely NO FORCE. I might as well have dried my dog with one of those little hand-held fans. I complained to the employee and she shrugged and said the dryers had been not working for a while but nothing had been done about it. Wow.

This was a majorly unpleasant experience. It should be fun to go wash your dog but not only is this facility basically a dump where nothing seems to function correctly, they are horrendously understaffed and unprofessional. I also feel it is dangerous to the dogs and the customers to have soaking wet dogs running around unsupervised. I had a friend go here and tell me a similar experience.

There are too many competitors in the area who offer the same services for similar prices. I just don't feel this is a safe or friendly environment.

Went to the Springbobo location. Hard to get up to the tub because of the lip around it, had to bend into the tub. Rinse and dryer extremely forceful, too much for a smaller dog and not adjustable. 4 dogs running around, hard to get in the door. Floor very wet from mopping and no grooming tables available and had to ask for brushes and combs. Not a pleasant experience. Will go elsewhere next time. Willing to pay a bit more for better facilities.

A special thanks to Wash Your Dog for being open everyday. Our black lab Rudy was sprayed by a skunk last Sunday and I had no idea what to do. I called Wash Your Dog and they let us come in right away, they did the "odor control" thing on him and it really worked.

This is a great place. I had my Golden Retriever groomed by a great groomer. My dog has always been nervous about baths or hair cuts, but now she loves going. Wash Your Dog set up an appointment for her so she didn't have to sit in a cage all day. The place is very clean and the staff is super friendly!! Thanks for a great job.

PROS: I can watch them groom my dog if I want to. Very nice, dog-loving staff
CONS: None

I wanted to give this local business a try so I took my Beagle/Schnauzer mix (Schneagle) over for a bath and grooming session. My instructions were to give the dog a Schnauzer trim and call me on my cell phone or home phone is there were any questions. When I went back two hours later I discovered that my dog had been completely shaved of his beard, whiskers and eye brows. It was explained to me by the manager Brian 'the dog was completely matted and had to be shaved to eliminate the matting'. The groomer and manager made no attempt to contact me or my wife prior to making this decision. Now I have a 10 month old puppy that has no eye brows or whiskers. You can be the judge of the responsibility level of this staff and make your own informed decision, but I would highly discourage taking your to this "Sheep Schearing Operation". When I attempted to ask the manager how he could have made this decision he offered no remorse and stood behind his groomers decision not to contact us prior to shaving my dog.

PROS: None
CONS: Unprofessional Customer Service & Lacking Accountability

This place is great!!! You can either wash your dog or have them do it for you. I actually like to do it myself. This place is great because I have a Great Dane who is hard to wash inside in the winter. This is the perfect solution to my problem~take her here and get her washed and no mess in my house!!!
