Pet Junction

I tried to return a fish that died within 7 days, but because the fish was in my water sample, they told me too bad, no refunds unless i have a separate water sample. We have spent hundreds of dollars in this store over the years and they blew me off over a two dollar fish? I was going to pick up aquarium bulbs and rabbit food while i was there, and even buy some more fish, but to say, sorry, thats our policy, we have to test your water, even though all the other fish I bought there at the same time (about $30 worth) seem to be doing quite well, all I can say is the heck with you, I will take my business elsewhere. I try to avoid national chains, but this kind of crap makes it hard.

Worst experience with a pet store in my life. I have been calling them for two days, being put on hold for fifteen minutes, and then being shrugged off byt one of their higher-ups. All because I was GIVING them some animals that they would surely profit on (at least $60 worth). The animals were taken from me when I walked into the store, dumped into a tank and that was that. I asked if store credit would be possible (seeing as I invested at least $70 into these animals including gas money for two days of travel to this pet store), but was mumbled at and walked away from, saying that he would have to check with another higher-up. They didn't even get my number to call about store credit. I guess these people think that money grows on trees and that they can profit at the expense of others.

We used to shop here and spend at least 100 every weeks on supplies. They used to be great until they sold the store. Ever since new owners took over they refuse to send you ALL of your discount checks, sell fish with diseases that will wipe out your entire tank. The list goes on and on. Just save time and money and buy from somewhere else!

If you are looking for a high quality knowledgeable Pet Store, you've found it! I have known this store almost since it's conception almost 30 years ago. They have everything you need, the BEST selection I have ever seen (even compared to chain stores!) and some of the nicest and most informed staff you could ever ask for. Yes, they are slightly more expensive (not often), but it's usually by a dollar or less. And that's not much of a price to pay for high quality service which certainly is VERY hard to find these days! Ask them a question and I guarantee, they will find you the answer. Petsmart even sends their own customers there when they don't know the answer (which, in my experience, was quite often!)! I moved to Chicago and I STILL make stops there when I come through! You have to check it out!

I recommend Pet Junction to everyone. The store is very clean, the employees are very helpful, friendly and polite. The animals and fish are very well cared for and healthy.

They may be a bit more expensive than the chain stores but in my opinion, I'd rather pay a little more money to go to a store that gives great personal service and keeps their fish tanks clean and sells healthy fish.

This store has a large variety of small pets including gerbils, hamsters, small reptiles, birds, fresh water and salt water fish. They carry all sorts of pet items including for dogs and cats, small pets mentioned above, etc. They are very informative and will actually suggest what pet might be appropriate for you or a family member. They were very helpful to us when we had problems with our fish fighting and assisted us.

They also have a customer loyalty program that gives discounts. A really nice place for pet supplies instead of a large chain store.

PROS: Wonderful Customer Service, Good Selection
CONS: more expensive than large chain stores
