I read the reviews here and went to this store with trepidation. I've been to many OUAC before, and this was tops. It was a Thursday about 3 pm, so I think we were lucky, but the place was clean, uncrowded, there were not bags and bags of stuff all over, and my daughter found great stuff (size 10) at great prices. We loved it!

I really like the bigger location they moved into next door. It's spacious, clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Remember, if you are annoyed and rude, you aren't encouraging kind behavior in return.

My favorite time to shop is in January for items to be used the following winter because clearance stuff is marked down.

I used to work at OUAC, it isn't the employees that price your items, its the computer system. Granted, some people are rude, but where ever you go, people are rude, it's just different days. You won't sell everything you bring in, it's just way too much. Yes, sometimes there are stacks of clothes piled high, that's because we're busy with customers, buying items, or running the back. This is a JOB people, don't critique what can only be done humanly possible. There were nights that we stay til 1130 getting the place caught up. Once Upon A Child is a wonderful establishment.

people there ARE rude and for the person that said try working that long with only a little break... i do!!!! working in the medical field is way harder than sorting things !!!! i feel that it is a lot of scamming!! asking almost the retail price and accepting crap with stains on it even... i have great things that sell like crazy on ebay but hardly ever at ouac... no reason for the rudeness ever... customers come first and there... we don't even place

for the people that think the employees at once upon a child are rude, well try working 8-10 hours with only one break the whole day. Usually 10-15 min after working non stop hard labor. You complain about not getting paid much for your clothes well they don't pay their employees much either. Once upon a child has a high turn over rate and its not because of the customers.

I love once upon a child! I am always treated kindly when I go there. I have sold a few toys there most of my daughter's clothes go to my pregnant friends who are all having girls! I'm always treated courteously and I return the favor. The ladies who work there are constantly going through people's used items and are under a lot of pressure to handle many tasks at once. I've seen the customers who sell things be extremely rude to the employees because they didn't get the amount that they wanted for their used things... Sometimes I wonder why people take their things there like they'll get $100 for everything and nothing will be rejected. You have to understand there are tons of people just like you and they take a some from everyone.... It can't be mistaken as a means of income! I know every little bit counts but consignment shops are good for those who want to get rid of their kids used clothes, toys, beds, etc. They work with you so that you don't have to have a yard sale every three months! The prices are reasonable... They only take the best cause they only sell the best! So for that Gymboree 2 piece outfit that I could buy for upwards of $50 at the retail store I buy for $15 at Once Upon a Child... I've cut cost on my children's clothes by over 40% (my husband is a financial adviser). That is money we could set aside for their college! Previously being low income I know how hard it can be to save money and this works... Even if you aren't low income... Trust me I've been to Once Upon a Child many times!

I will not go back due to the rude staff. The prices are too high for used items. They have no concept of the cost of items. Why pay retail for used items. They are a scam to the buyer who does not shop at gap, children's place etc. You can get things on sale cheaper than once upon a child.

I love Once Upon a Child! With 3 kids of my own trying to keep them in clothes is ridiculous... I feel like like I get such good deals at once upon. I hate paying too much for my kids clothes when they are usually stained, lost or used in a science experiment within two weeks of my kids having them! I do have to agree on the staffing it does appear to be lacking. Sometimes I think the women working behind the counter may be mildly retarded. I see clothes stacked and stacked and stacked I just want to jump in and start hanging them myself... But sometimes thats what you have to put up with for a good deal!

The staff are usually very rude here. I always find really cute stuff here but a lot it is way overpriced for being used! Once in a while you can find good deals but your better off getting on craigslist or going yardsailing!

This place carries a wide variety of items for children. After looking through ilse of clothing I feel that they are a bit over priced for being consignment. I found several short and t shirt sets that they were asking $10.00 for. I could go down the street and purchase a new outfit for the same price. I have been in there on at least 3 occasions and never seem to find a good deal.

This location is a very busy one. If you are trying to resell, help your cause by washing and folding items neatly and bringing them in a box with a lid, as the line for resale is often long. To buy, however, is a great experience. At a little over garage sale prices, you can have nearly new namebrand clothing for the little tykes. It is especially easy to find great stuff for the 0- 3 yr set, beyond that the pickings get a little slim until size 12, when kids hate what grandma bought for Christmas and refuse to wear it, so mom resells it :).

Don't forget to check out the books and toys- I've found pricey treasures hidden amongst the run of the mill stuff!

I haven't been to other Once Upon a Child locations, but I'm sure they aren't all as unpleasant as this one. The staff at this location is a bit rude and very, very slow. The prices on used children's clothing are outrageous and most of the time you could buy new items on sale for the same price.
