Worst sushi I've ever had...
by fisto_1
I was visiting from out of town and not knowing the area figured I could go to Benihana and it would be good because of their reputation. I was wrong! Service was good, food was terrible! My salad had twice as much dressing as lettuce, and the sushi was the worst I've had to date and I eat a lot of sushi in many different resteraunts!! I should have returned it after the first piece I ate. The onion soup was the only decent part of my meal. I did not eat anything but the sushi so I can not comment on the rest of the food, but I will definately NOT return to find out!
Pros: Service
Cons: Food and value of poor quality food.

Best Japaneese anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!
by rkelsey
I have eaten here for the past 15 years and it continues to be one of my favorite restaraunts in the world. The only problem is in the last couple of years, they don't put on as much of a show as they used to and the quantity they serve per dish is getting smaller. They also no longer offer you the free ice cream and hot tea at the end of dinner. The "flavor" however is still amazing!!!!!!!!!! Keep it fresh and tasty and I will keep coming back!
Pros: The flavor atomosphere and delicious aroma!
Cons: Recently smaller portions than they used to serve and no free ice cream and tea at the end of dinner.

Great food - could use larger amounts - good Sake and entertaining. Have eaten there for years and am going back this week again!

Unhealthy

I was completely appalled by how much butter was used to cook the food. Japanese people would never eat here. If you care about what you're putting into your body then do not eat here. The soup was fine, but the meal went downhill from there. I could only eat the mushrooms. After leaving I smelled awful from all the frying. I got home showered and hoped my stomach would be ok. Do not eat here!
