Dishonest driveshaft/exhaust company
by Mark H.
I had a new driveshaft built for me by Zanesville Joint and Clutch. The driveshaft failed as soon as I reached 55 mph on the highway. I called the company and was told it was the operators fault, and the warranty about faulty parts and defective material on the reciept is no good.I then contacted the Attorney Generals office and the Better Business Beauro and expalined my problem. And received letters from Zanesville Joint and Clutch via the AGO and BBB giving me numerous excuses. Examples:1. Driveshafts are intended to fail.2. Under normal use that driveshaft would operate fine for many years.3. The operator knew of the implications of the driveshaft that was built for him.4. They were not given enough information to make a proper driveshaft for his vehicle.5. They believe the rear differential failed and caused the driveshaft to fail.6. The operator would have to be driving faster than 78 mph for the driveshaft to fail.7. I don't believe 78 mph to be a safe speed.8. The critical speed of the driveshaft made for him is 2800 rpm .And so on.All of these poor excuses came from the owner of Zanesville Joint and Clutch. After almost 2 years of rebutals, the owner of Zanesville Joint and Clutch offered to give me my money back for the driveshaft they made me. While also telling me my vehicle is not worth the $7,000 in damages that were caused to it. But I refused.I have taken my broken driveshaft to other driveshaft builders to get there opinion, only to be asked what exhaust shop made that driveshaft. Which has led me to believe that Zanesville Joint and Clutch used exhaust tubing to build my driveshaft. After further research I fould out that Zanesville Joint and Clutch does in fact do exhaust work on cars, there fore has access to exhaust pipe.I have since bought a book called AE7 (Automotive Engineers 7), it consists of every automotive engineer and auto maker in the United States and explains the do's and dont's of driveshaft making. In this book it explaines that a driveshaft is suppost to be made to operate at a speed that is 25% greater than the vehicle is registered for (or not to be made at all). In my case that is 85 mph, so my new driveshaft should have been made good enough to operate at 106 mph. NOT 78 mph like the one Zanesville Joint and Clutch made me and believes would work just fine for many years.I believe every one in the world should be aware of Zanesville Joint and Clutch's dishonest methods and excusses. How they walk all over there customers and that there warranty doesn't mean a thing.

Dishonest Company
by Mark H.
They do not follow an standards set forth by the companies that make the parts and will not stand behind anything they build or fix. If a product breaks they blame the customer. They have made driveshafts that have failed at highway speeds, the reason being the driveshaft they made was knowing reduced in critical speed by 50%. Yet they said that driveshaft would work just fine for many years. In a letter the owner said that driveshafts are "fuses" the weak link and are intended to fail before anything of greater value brakes apparently
the value of ones life means nothing to the owner of Zanesville Joint & Clutch. But if anyone has experienced the crap I have at this place your better off getting a lawyer first, or else they will walk all over you. Better yet just don't go to Zanesville Joint & Clutch.

This company has all of the parts you could possibly need to fix your car or truck. They carry Spicer brand products that are hard to find in the local area. The guys who work there are very friendly and will help you out with any questions that you may have regarding the transmission or joints in your vehicle. If you need a part and can't get it anywhere else, I suggest giving them a call.
